Made an appointment to take My Mother to get her eyebrows done, got there, I was charged $90 without receiving any type of service yet..Red Flag # 1..As soon as the person came out she had a terrible attitude because the service was paid through Groupon. Went in with my Mother and she went on an on how she was going to need several sessions, how her eye brows were in such of bad shape, that it was to risky but doable, My mother is an 80 year old woman and got scared of course and decided not to go with the session. I had a great experience when Gisele was there. I went for 1.5 years. Recently the business allowed me to book after Gisele is no longer working there, sent me a confirmation with her name on it and when I arrived for my appointment, Carolina told me that Gisele was no longer there and they wanted me to try the new esthetician. She told me I was not informed prior to my appointment because they didn't want to lose my business. Very shady business practice to try and continue to profit off of an ex-employee. So I found this spot on Groupon, so I thought I'd give it a try for a Brazilian wax. So customer service is good. When I called to make an appointment they were quick and helpful. What they didn't mention is that when making an appointment you have to mention you purchased the Groupon. If not, you won't be able to use it for that appointment. About the wax: it got the job done. They use hard wax. The waxer I had doesn't speak much but I made her talk to me. Like any other waxing place they charge for extras (stomach strip, inner thighs, buttstrip, etc.). Be sure to make yourself crystal clear with the waxer for what you want exactly. A plus: they have punch cards. 3.5/5 because I'm not a big fan of the way they do waxes. read more

I am a DIE Hard Wax Spa fan! Yes, Boris can be a handful but he is funny and has opinions. There is nothing wrong with that. I don't go to Wax Spa to be best friends with him. He has always been respectful, accommodating and to the point. Ina is a saint! I would not even go near wax due to previous experiences at other places. Its hard when you live in Miami though and wear brazilian bikini bottoms at the beach to avoid waxing. Ina has the most gentle touch EVER. She is sweet, quick and painless. I have very delicate parts and I have never had any problems with ingrown hairs or bumps or redness. They are very clean and timely and always try to accommodate the customers. The prices printed on the waxing menu won't be honored... everything is $1 more than advertised. Prices for a standard wax can add up quickly with all the add ons. I was in Miami, and since I`d never Brazilian, and decided, when in Rome, do as the Romans do. I also had a groupon that made the Brazilian $19 instead of the $49 and also had a $10 groupon credit, and they had some pretty reasonable yelp comments so my vajjayjay hopped in a shared uber and made our way from South Beach to North Miami The shopping center is rather plain, i cant think of any other store that was in there, mind you i was there like 9 months ago but I didn`t think it ran down or need of any sort of repairs I recall running late, uber, miami traffic etc and called and explained and was told in no uncertain terms, and its part of the fine print on the groupon, if i was more than 5 mins late and the person with the next appt was on time then i would have to reschedule. i was late, and thankfully the person scheduled behind me was a no show, so i enter this little room and spread them. i wont go into details but for a first time experience, this was WONDERFUL. She was quick and the cooling powder she uses, is just what you need. It wasnt so much a sting as a tingle, and tingle is good down there. If i lived in Miami, I don`t see why this wouldn't be a viable option for my waxing services. read more

I'm originally from NYC and I'm use to a full Brazilian wax meaning everything off nothing left behind, unfortunately this place has a different definition of Brazilian wax. So be prepared to pay more then what you expect to be paying for a Brazilian. Also the front desk lady has a horrible horrible attitude. Maybe she was having a bad day ( hopefully that was the case). We ended up waiting 2 hours to get waxed even though the waxer told the front desk lady she was available to take a walk in. If you can find another place do so (its not worth the wait time and getting attitude from the front desk lady for asking a question), although the actual wax specialist was amazing she didn't leave a single strand of hair behind. Apparently you will be no showed here if you're over ONE minute late. You will then have to wait for 30 minutes because they already took someone else into the room due to your 2 minute tardiness. Don't forget to factor in the rude front desk receptionist who will argue with u when u ask her why u were no showed telling you that her time says you were a whole 4 minutes late. I bought mine for 14$ Brazilian wax (what always meant everything should be off!) and only when you get naked they say "you know what our brazilian wax is different and if you need to take off everything you should pay extra 30$!!!!!!!!!" To start I was not even asked what look I was going to desire as. Was asked 3 times before... first time they accepted a Groupon second visit they did not so I was ok... the fine print in Groupon did not mention that you could use it only one time... las two visits she did not offer a mirror for me to check the look. Paid 195 on September 3 and the lil kid they have in the register asked me if I will pay $85 told her I wanted just to tip because I had paid she told me you paid in August but I show her my $195 receipt. So hen I wen to my car and check I was not pleased, came inside and told her what options I had she told me I could pay $65 and come Friday at 5 I replied I was not happy with today service to what she said ah because you have a NORMAL set I told her is not what I usually get then I decided to wait for Carolina who proceeded to lecture me about having glue... I did put mascara not glue plus I was makeup free since Thursday anyways she told me as a "favor" she will add fullness on 9/25 at 3:15. I was pleased before despide the jack up charges that are so random like I never know what I will end up paying. Was looking to be a regular but she implied I had strip lashes was not cool she said I am loosing my lashes ? Not sure what she does if she cuts them before I'm new doing this anyways since seems to be my fault not being happy with a service that I immediately informed the lash artist about concerns me and makes me reconsider if this will be my forever business to support... alway like small business but hate feel cheated and basically called a liar, the kid told me you have a normal set the mother that I was losing hair did not checked with me if I was pleased like she needed to let me go... I've been a customer at wax spa for the past 4 years. To say that I walk out completely satisfied each and every time is an understatement. Carolina does my lashes and I honestly wouldn't trust anybody else to do them other than her. She listens to exactly what your wants and needs are and the outcome is beautiful. I constantly receive compliments on how well done my lashes are and every time I've referred anyone to her they have walked out extremely satisfied. The salon is very clean and they are doing a fantastic job at keeping everybody safe during the covid-19 pandemic. It's a very relaxing atmosphere so if you are looking to get your eyelashes done or even come in for a wax I highly recommend coming here. read more

I'll be honest. I have no idea what the service or experience is like at the actual establishment and I have no desire to find out after the way I was treated on the phone. I purchased a Groupon in March for a Mini Facial and Mini Massage here, which expired on September 5th. When work and my travels finally slowed down, I called to schedule an appointment on September 2nd, I was informed by a receptionist that there was only one woman handling the the Groupon appointments and that she was booked through the 9th of September (how convenient). I said I didn't mind if the appointment itself was at a later date and the girl still refused discuss the matter so the next day my boyfriend and I called back and spoke to Boris, who is apparently the owner/manager. He was very stubborn and unaccommodating despite the fact that the fine print on the Groupon read: "However, even if the promotional offer stated on your Groupon has expired, applicable law may require the merchant to allow you to redeem your Voucher beyond its expiration date for goods/services equal to the amount you paid for it." He went on to say that he didn't even want to partner with Groupon in the first place and that he was "talked into it by a good salesman." He said that his business was so successful and well-reviewed on Yelp (LOL) that they didn't need to offer discounts and specials. I feel like he wanted this promotion to fail from the beginning. So basically he told me that I was out of luck and it was my fault that the one woman they assigned to cater to over 60 Groupon customers was booked. My experience here was nothing short of wonderful! This was my first bikini wax ever and they did a great job. The staff that I met was very friendly and eager to cater to my needs. I've been a regular customer with Wax Spa on and off for almost 4 years. All due honesty, I have no complaints about this establishment. I have encountered a very professional, courteous and kind staff. Gisele (employee and wax attendant) always does an excellent job, and keeps the pain to the minimum . Boris who usually works the front desk (owner) is always polite and recommends to keep and schedule appointments the amount of the service or services is cheaper. If decide to come either every two or three weeks with an appointment card they offer a 20% percent discount, so make sure not to skip your appointment, unless you like pain. They also offer facials, lipo cavitation, and eyelash extension. It's highly recommended that you make an appointment rather than a walk-in. This place can get very congested with customers in a blink of and eye. For those who are frequent customers, every time you have a service there's a card that is given to you and pretty much gets stamped, once the card is full, keep in a safe place in case you can not make your scheduled appointment and receive a 15% discount. I the frugal person that I am, always shopping around for a better price. But in all due honesty, I receive excellent service at a very reasonable pricing. I saw a Groupon for Microdermabrasion and was so happy that it was at such a low price. As always, I can't go anywhere new without reading Yelp reviews first. I was astonished to read at how the owner responds to those who give this place a bad review. Boris, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and should voice their concerns. However, as a business owner, you should not argue with customers and potential customers. It is very unprofessional and makes you look very narcissistic and condescending, to say the least. I know you will say I am review from your competitors, but let me promise you I am not. I've spent the last 20 minutes reading your responses and I have to say that arrogance does not suit you well. I can assure you not responding in the manner that you do will help your ratings. Also, every place I've been to gives their customers a 10-15 minute waiting window in between appointments. If you are 7 minutes late, you should not forfeit a customer's hardworking money. It's just not right. Appointments take at least 30 minutes, thus letting customers in "early" because someone was a few minutes late is simply wrong. Fix your "regulations" and you might gain better reviews. I LOVED Giselle. I went to her for my very first waxing experience and a few times after that. She made me a repeat customer. She's kind and very experienced. I will say that I was not fond of the pricing for the services but I guess it's common for the area. Also, they do offer Groupons and groupon cash back. They also offer discounts if you make your follow up appt in 3 weeks and bring the appt card with you so that's cool too. Pay attention to the entire menu because a "Brazilian" does not include some areas and you have to specify what you want. All in all, not a bad spot and I never regret going. read more
