After giving nail Nelly a 5 star a week and a half ago, I soon realized the review wasn't a 5 after just one day, I lost two tips, my nails appear as if they are already due for another fill in due to the way she polished and use the drill around my cuticles upon finishing! I just got my nails done today and the service is always top tier! It's never a dull moment when I go there to get serviced. My favorite part about going there is to get the enhanced pedicure because of the 5-7 minute massage, sugar scrub, lotion, and the hot towel they put over your legs. Started coming here over a year ago after the service at Jivana's, the salon across the street, got bad. Coco was okay at first, but it always seems to be a hit or a miss experience. I've had 3 nail services in a row now where the tech is rushing through my dip or gelx manicure to try and accommodate more clients. What I'm left with is a crappy job, gunk left under my nails, no attention to detail, and the top coat chipping within a few days. There doesn't seem to be anyone managing the place to make sure that customers are happy and I'm personally over being charged for a service that isn't being done with attention to detail. Bad vibes. You are just a number in there. Maybe if the business took care of their employees, the employees might take better care of their clients. read more

I left Jivana across the street after going there (for "Lisa") for years. All the wonderful nail artists left and my last experience was the worst. Many of the men there act as if they are being forced to work there and have a problem with working with PotM. Well baby . . . solution: Laura at Coco Nails (formerly Jivana 2). Laura is the first nail artist who hasn't looked at me and assumed because I'm not a waif, that I want a terminator-like touch. She was delicate yet thorough. Amenable when I needed to make a last minute change, simply professional and pleasant. I will definitely be back. This is my second visit, first for a pedicure and, in spite of making her less available to me, I highly recommend her. read more

WOW, WOW, WOW!!! I just had the worse experience of my life with a young nail technician that works there! I've been going there for over 6 months and I've never had a problem. Today, I had to return because the "Nail Dip" on my fingernails was cracked on every single nail after just "four" days. I very politely showed one of the employees and she agreed that something went wrong and that the young employee would have to redo them for free. I never complained or mentioned that I was inconvenienced with having to come back because of a poor job. After the employee notified her and showed her my nails, the young technician was obviously frustrated all the while complaining in a different language to her coworkers, it was beyond uncomfortable and embarrasing. -She attempted to charge me $30 for her mistake after she was told to do it for free. -She was telling me that I had been there 10 days ago which is absolutely not true, it had not even been a week! -She filed the side of my finger with the electric file several times. -When I didn't remember the nail color she complained in her language, than reprimanded me like a child. -Ultimately, she was grabbing each of my fingers so hard that she was hurting them. I pulled my hand away because I thought that she was going to break my ring finger. -She yelled at me to sit still or leave, followed by pointing at the door and telling me to leave, because I made her hurt her finger (WTH?). I had to walk out with half of my nails removed and foil on them. It was an an incredibly, inappropriate scene from her. The customer next to me just kept on repeating of my "God" every time the technician was explosive and rude. Every employee in there put their heads down and didn't want to get involved. I requested the name of the owner and they all said he/she was not available and one saying that they were on vacation. I'm truly shaken up and would strongly suggest you steer clear of this business for your own good! read more

Had a mani pedi done. The place was very busy, being it is Dec 31. I arrived a few minutes before they opened and there where people already at the front door. Even though there were people waiting, Thomas took his time and did not rush me through. This was One of the best manicure/pedicures I have had. read more

The service I requested was a gel pedicure and was told $35 as I tend to ask for pricing prior to the service. The man doing my pedicure then proceeded to do a different, more expensive service without consulting me first. He kept stopping to watch the television making the service take longer than anticipated as-well. I could not get a chance to speak to someone else as he charged me himself and I felt extremely rushed to pay. Since the service was done, I payed but I will not be returning to a place that practically scams their clients. read more

I came to get a mani pedi and the man at the first table told me I'd have to wait 20 mins, that was no problem. The problem occurred when his coworker, sits a lady who came in 5 mins AFTER me (no appointment). He tells me a few minutes later to have a seat and when I go to sit the lady says she cannot do it. Another lady said the same thing. I asked the guy to do me before the lady since I came first and his response was "I only work on Women" and that I'd have to wait 20 MORE MINUTES for someone to see me. I've been to this location PLENTY of times before and I am extremely disappointed with how they treated me today. They discriminated against me solely based on my gender. read more

So happy bc its close to home, and with having 3 kiddos, two being little ones--I have to be quick. After having my fair share of disappointing experiences with different nail salons...from gel nails not lasting and both thumbs painfully breaking half way down my nails, to being cut and bleeding during what was supposed to be a relaxing pedicure. I asked for acrylic manicure only. The nail art came out great. What I didn't realize was how she put on gel (I'm pretty new to acrylic and gel so I didn't know the process). At checkout they told me $65 instead of what I thought I was paying $35. I told them I never asked for the gel so they simply just chopped it off by $5 saying it was miscommunication on their end. On top of that, the lady was extremely rough on my fingers. Why did she have to twist my arm so hard as she was drilling and scraping my fingers? Also, my nail beds hurt like hell after getting them done... For the amount I paid, I could have gotten a mani pedi package elsewhere... read more

Very disrespectful. The whole staff. The nail salon closes at 7:30, I got there a 7 on the dot and asked before service if they still had time. No one answered but they ended up sitting me and my little 7 year old little sister down. The (tall & skinny) man who willingly decided to do her nails made jokes about them. She's a kid who had dirt under her nails. A kid. A grown man decided to make jokes about dirt under a little girls toes. What's worse is that he did it in his native language trying to be discreet. The rest of the staff decided to join in and laugh while saying dirty. A little kid, and because I couldn't take the disrespect I told her she couldn't get her finger nails done too. Not only that, once I finished my nails I asked the lady for her cash app so I could tip her but she told me not to worry and right after in his native language he talks about getting at least a $3 tip. As another lady is checking me out he is hovering over making sure she adds a $3 charge but instead of it being tip, the kids $20 pedicure was now $23. That man is so disrespectful. He's like the first thing you see when you come in and has a thick accent. Tall and skinny but I didn't catch his name. The staff enables his nasty attitude and even make their own little jokes. Awful, just know they will be insulting you in their native language. Even if you think they like you. As soon as a man they were laughing with left they joked about him and having a boyfriend. I give them 3 stars only cause the staff was nice and I loved the way my pedicure was done but my dip mani didn't last 2 days. I asked the nail tech to apply over the dip polish gel top coat instead only because I know my nails she mentioned that the way she does it with dip top coat will last and I will love it. I had a 3 PM appointment along with my 2 daughters. By 3:40 I asked to see a manager since there were still no available technicians for me. The manager said it wasn't his fault that I was waiting and he is short staffed. If that was the case I should have been informed right away. He took no responsibility. While I was waiting for my daughters to finish a technician became available after 4:00. When I asked what my compensation would be for the hour delay he said no compensation because it's not his fault. I declined to give them any more business. Make appointments at your own risk. I was not happy when I left Coco nails. I wanted to do a dip manicure and as soon as I checked in, the lady at the front went to do my nails. I did a pedicure at the same time. The lady doing my dip was standing up, looking at the door every once in a while, and doing my nails as if she was in a rush, she was doing it very fast and carelessly. I was told the dip was $45 and I thought it wasn't too bad until they tell me that the cuticle cut is $10 extra so, in reality, it's $55. She was filing my nails so aggressively and filed my thumb down so much it was not pretty. The 2 times that I have been to Coco nails have been a bad experience. I am not going back. read more
