Yeah, I was not impressed with this nail salon at all. I will say, I was grateful that they were able to take me as a walk in on such short notice, but they said you get what you pay for. I got a pedicure here and it was quite painful. The male technician who was working on my feet, clipped my cuticles too closely to the point that they bled. Then he had the audacity to spray rubbing alcohol on my bleeding cuticles. Um, ouch! On top of that, he then took the hot towels they usually drape over your feet/legs, but this towel was scorching hot! The tops of my feet were actually slightly burned. Double ouch. She also recommended Ludee, whom she saw was awesome. CT Nails is located in a revamped strip mall on Biscayne Blvd in North Miami. Now CT Nails may not have all the bells and whistles the other spot does but what they lack in Finery, they make up for in customer service. The owners are very nice and pretty accommodating. Ms. Chris was right, Ludee is awesome! I recommend making an appointment if heading there on the weekend as they are very busy. Other than that, I can't say anything bad about the shop or the staff. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Let me preface by saying I have been coming here for years, during their previous management, and the older management before them as well. Jensi, who refused to repeat her name so it might be spelled incorrectly, later lied and said her name was Cameron when I asked her name again so I could leave a review. Terrible customer service!! Cursed at me, argued with my mom over her full set, and then had the audacity to ask me why my mom was asking questions in Spanish about she nails... my mom speaks broken English almost began tearing up. Full disclosure: jensi or whatever her name really is ALSO speaks Spanish. She said that my mom was "rude as hell" and "fucking rude". When I asked her to not curse at me or my mom, she began asking the entire salon if anyone heard her cursing. And then said "okay I cursed, so what are you going to do about it?" How is this even remotely professional?! The owner while she seemed apologetic, brushed off the whole ordeal as if it was unimportant. To have a nail tech argue with me?? For a service I'm PAYING for? Incredibly unprofessional and not worth the overpriced service. Would NOT recommend this place to anyone. I am never coming back here. I cannot stress enough how nice the owners of this place are! Customer service is a lost art, especially in Miami...not here though! I came here on a Thursday evening 20 minutes prior to closing. Extremely bad - they cut your skin ( literally today I had blood coming in 4 fingers), when I asked not to go deeper on removing the skin he simply ignored that. Every time I ask for cutting my nails short but he still ends up doing what he wants. Acrylic nails are done in a very unprofessional manner where the surface is not even and very thick. I came back to get my gels nails fixed. 3 days in they started to chip and I came a week later after I got them done to finally to get them fixed. The owner blatantly lied to my face saying I got them done two weeks ago. Even after I showed proof that I did indeed get them done a week ago. She denied fixing them for me .Apparently they have a 3 day policy for nails, which was nowhere to be seen in the salon. Gel nails are meant to last two weeks, so that policy makes no sense. The place I normally go for my pedicures is in the shopping plaza next to this place. I went in on a whim last Sunday with a friend for a pedicure and they were booked. My friend suggested going next door to CT. Overall, it was ok. My pedicure was pretty good, but the environment wasn't pleasant. They were kind of crowded, but the people were loud and obnoxious. I had a girl next to me that brought in her kid and let him run all over the place and the "gentleman" with her spent more time on his phone than he did trying to wrangle the screaming child. It just wasn't a relaxing atmosphere and the staff didn't seem to care. They were pretty unfriendly and the guy kept trying to sell me on getting a shellac manicure too and actually told me my nails were ugly (they were just cut short because it's easier for me to type at work, but trust me, my nails are NOT ugly...just au natural).
