There were children in both vehicle, a baby even. I left them a review on Facebook and my review was the newest one in YEARS and they blocked me so that says A LOT about the type of people and business they are. Even after paying for everything they still were trying to charge me an extra $500 for a hose that did NOT need replacing...turned out one of their employees spilled fluid and that was all. As for my brakes failing Im beyond disgusted with this business and their behavior towards the community they serve.

And let me tell you, the prices they are charging for parts alone are up to FIVE TIMES what the parts cost. And their "labor cost" is pretty outrageous for some of the simple things they say need done. I got my thousands of dollars quote and compared their parts costs to actual auto store quotes of the same exact parts and this place is charging triple to 5x the cost! For every single part needed. They never did complete the "free inspection" they offered me (I paid them $150ish for them to slap me with their outrageous quote so I wouldn't quite call the inspection free), even after keeping my car for multiple days and saying they would do it. Another disappointment. All in all a pretty bad experience.

Simply. The. Best. Mechanic. In. Longview…read more Here are some words that aren't always associated with mechanics: Honest. Responsive. Flexible. Polite. Affordable. Prompt. Resourceful. Accountable. They ALL apply to Godfrey's. I was fortunate to find them not long after moving to Longview in 2001 and being grossly disappointed by another shop not far away (which shall remain nameless). At the time, I was driving a VERY high-mileage Mazda 626. Jeff was helpful in prioritizing the work it needed (I was out of work and cautious with my $$) and how to get it done. That support has continued now, with a newer-but-not-new PT Cruiser as well. He always saves offending parts to show me what needed repair; he showed me the water that he got out of my fuel filter (never bought THAT gas again); he recommends but does not hard-sell additional work for the future; he takes the time to share with me his diagnostic process and demonstrates deep, deep experience in all areas of repair. Over the years I have sent 6 or 7 friends and relatives there and they ALL have raved about the service. There may be vehicles or repairs where he doesn't excel, but based on the array of vehicles I've seen there, I'd bet against it. It's so nice to write a review that isn't a complaint! We were driving back to Washington when we heard noise on her 2019 Honda. Her dust pad underneath her car became loose. Both screws were gone causing the car to create loud noise in the highway. She called her Honda 24 Hours assistance and told us to visit Honda Stirling WA. When we got there, the sales guy says they cannot do anything about it as their service crews are not in. We start driving and we saw Al's auto body parts garage is open. We then met Al, the owner, trying to work on his car. He then auto-lift her car and secure the flap. What a good samaritan, he did not even charge us. So for all of you out there near Longview WA, bring your business to him.

Interior was 9/10 Exterior 7/10 Motor was dry ran strong, tranny shifts all gears no problem had good wheels& tires 5/32nds atleast and the price was exceptionally fair i.e. I could fix its problems and still turn a good profit (I'm Mechanically inclined own work done here) we got what we_______ needed...... That being said IDK about the newer more expensive cars or your personal situation what I can determine from my experience is they are willing to work with what you got. They can work with people, on cars maybe...maybe not I dont know if they do mechanical work here possibly just detailing anyway. DONT send ppl that aren't mechanically inclined to find a car here, and drive it to be sure its safe for a while. first car we looked at was very nice Looking moderately clean 90's Deville but it had some problems i didn't feel comfortable with nothing big...maybe so i walked away from it. Third option was really nice looking Dodge van...but thats where i'll stop with that, worked on too many to even wanna peek at it. Second option was what we left with Now this is where Experience comes in. Left front caliper came apart after 53.7 miles now me knowing what a car pulling right and a soft pedal involves I took a chance that it was air in the lines from a bad bleeding session when the new pads where put on. I was safe about it cause i had to get it back to astoria oregon 51 miles from the lot. Got into town totally lost pedal used the tranny to get us home and parked it. took a look caliper bolts where left loose. bought the car today will fix tomorrow prolly cost 10 bucks to get new hardware 50 bucks worse case, but if it was my fiance behind the wheel well lets just say probably would have been very bad but no harm no foul Im not gonna take it back cause we still love it and shit happens oh and most importantly they make you sign papers 3 times NO WARRANTY AS IS!!!!! so if you bring your car back or bitch em out YOU sir are the moron. 1/3 of your life probably spent in a car, learn about them. OR go to a "legit" dealer bring your barrel cause the 100 ft long marble counters are too nice to bend over (can you say Overhead)and likely end up being sold crap anyway.
