I had an incredibly disappointing experience with Gaby during my recent Brazilian sugaring appointment. From the moment I arrived, the interaction felt rushed and unprofessional. Unlike my previous visits, Gaby did not step out of the room to give me privacy while I undressed -- she simply told me to take off my pants and stayed in the room, which made me very uncomfortable. During the process, I was on FaceTime with my boyfriend (camera facing only my face). Gaby made an inappropriate comment stating that I needed to get off the phone because clients become extra dramatic when they have an "audience." I found that extremely unprofessional and unnecessary. I'm an adult and I know how to conduct myself. When she inspected the area, she questioned how long I had let my hair grow, and even after I clarified that it had been 2.5 weeks, she continued to argue with me. I asked her directly if I should reschedule, and she said it was fine -- but the end result proved otherwise. The waxing session was rushed, lasting barely 10 minutes. After saying "ok," she just walked out without any follow-up or indication the service was complete. I paid $85 plus a $15 tip out of courtesy, but when I got home and checked, I was shocked to find large patches of hair left behind -- the job was incomplete and sloppy. My vagina looked like Cynthia from the Rugrats. I attempted to contact the shop multiple times afterward to discuss the issue, but no one answered the phone. I ended up going to another esthetician and paying again to have the wax corrected. I've been a loyal customer in the past, especially when Norma was there, and always received quality service. Sadly, that level of professionalism and care seems to have disappeared. I do not recommend this place anymore and will not be returning. read more

DO NOT GET SERVICES HERE!!! The tech Arianna Williams glued my eyes and I told her immediately that I felt like I had something in them. She said to blink and that sometimes they feel a little funny. Well the feeling never went away after 2 days and I had to go the eye doctor for $125! I was diagnosed with glue in my eyes and had to get a prescription to put drops in 3x per day on my vacation! My eyes feel like rocks are in them. I went back to D'Gal and the owner was OUTRAGEOUSLY unprofessional. She did not like that I asked for a refund and offered NOTHING but a "you signed paperwork." She had no empathy, didn't want me to get license information for complaints. She even called me a "Karen." This is by far the MOST unprofessional establishment I've dealt with. I paid $80 and gave a tip to be injured and insulted by this business owner. I'm very sorry that I didn't read the reviews about Gaby, the owner before coming here. This was my 3rd time here in 2 months. There are tons of other options in Killeen. Definitely, find a better one. The store front looks nice but it is lip stick on a pig. read more

When I left it was barely curled and I just thought it was my lashes just being short. But the next day they were completely straight. I had Called and didn't get any resolution, I have been waiting for a week for a call a text or something to see what we can do since I am away for a month due to military training, Turns out nothing can be done no refund, no credit, nada not even a sorry for the damn bad service they couldn't even call me to let me know what will happen. This place is a winner! It can be so challenging finding a new lash artist, not to mention a wax! But 1 place for both... Unheard of! I was driving to Austin monthly for both and twice a month for lashes. I came across this place (on yelp) when I was tired of the drive. Mellisa does my lashes and is great! She is very detailed and kind of a perfectionist, in a good way. I got sugared for the first time by Gaby. Which was a great first experience. I may officially be changing over from wax to sugar. My only issue would be there not being a receptionist at the front. So my first time I was a little confused if I should just walk to the back or wait for someone to come out and get me. They charged me $80 for being 1 minute late! I was stuck at the light behind 6 buses at school dismissal time. Pulled into the parking lot 1 minute after the cut off time. They had no grace, no mercy! But they got their money lol I will never do business with them again! I see why more than half of the people that used to be there aren't there anymore. I literally waited to write this review because I wanted to see how long the Novalash extensions would last. Y'all.. my last fill was June 8th! I removed the last 10 lashes myself on sept 3rd (I work and travel, a lot). These lashes last! I am super active and I'm in the medical field so I wash my face a lot. My extension specialist was Ashley. She's the bomb dot com! Super sweet, knowledgeable, and she's a whole vibe once you get started! I haven't used any of the other technicians but I can always hear them. Ashley is super down to earth, has a calm sweet voice and is funny! Her area was super clean and cute. She also educated on the products she uses. Anywho, I just wanted to let the world know. My first appt with Ashley was in May, I went back for a fill with her in June. I didn't need much of a fill as only a few had fallen off with great care. I will definitely be returning. read more

I've been a loyal customer for the past 2 years. I've gotten facials, lash extensions and refills. I have referred several family members & numerous friends to D'GAL. I received a gift certificate for my anniversary for $150. I tried to use it & noticed that it was only good for 3 months. It was purchased beginning of January 2023 & expired in April. As soon as I noticed, I contacted the owner & explained that I apologize for the oversight on my part, the certificate had expired a couple weeks prior. The front desk listened to me & said they would have the owner call me back but it should be fine. I never received a call back, but I got a text saying sorry we won't honor the gift certificate. I understand policy but I was very disappointed that an exception couldn't be made for a loyal customer. I've always tipped well & enjoyed all my services there. The owner avoided my calls & wouldn't give me the common courtesy of a quick conversation. This was a gift certificate for $150 to use toward any service. I feel that you received the money & wont follow through on the service & took advantage of a great customer. I've been so supportive of your business. This is so mind boggling to me that you would take advantage of people this way. Please know that the same way you get customers, you lose them! Word of mouth goes a long way. I will make sure that those same friends & family take their business to someone that is trust worthy & appreciate their customers. I wasn't sure what to expect after arriving and the owner asked my name and told me "She'll be here in a minute" I'm assuming she meant my eyelash tech. Yes, she did arrive 3 minutes late for our 5:30 appointment. Once she got set up and ready for me, I was brought into one of the cutely decorated rooms and reclined on the comfy table to get my lashes started. I can't explain the steps bc I couldn't see but it felt like my bottom lashes were being taped, then maybe taped again? Don't know, but whatever happened it didn't hurt so I was glad about that. My tech, "She" I'll call her since I don't remember her name and the owner didn't use it, was very gentle and for that I was grateful. After about an hour it was done and I have to say I was so happy with the results! I'm a week out and I am still thrilled! I came in for a same day consult and received a great new set of lashes. Holly was very friendly and informative. She removed my old lashes and gave me a brand new set. The first pic are my old lashes and the new ones are next! Such a difference in technique. I made my first appointment here for a sugar wax which I have done multiple times before at different locations. I'm unsure if the person has done a neck wax. It was messy and uncomfortable. I've been seeing Gabby for about 4 years when she started at a nail salon. I get waxed and lashes done with her. I get the American volume lashes and I love them!! I don't wear makeup often so my lashes last 3 weeks before a refills. I also work out pretty heavy and sweat a lot and the lashes are fine. So my fiancé bought me a gift certificate for me to get my lashes done as a birthday gift. He spent $130 for this service. Now I work full time and I work strange hour and I work about an hour away from here so I haven't been able to get in to get them done. Well I called today because I have a wedding to go to and was finally going to schedule to get them done and I'm told to look on the certificate to see if there's and expiration date on it. Now I never noticed one before but low and behold there is! And shocking my certificate is expired... so we paid $130 and y'all got it for free. Didn't even try to remedy the situation. Very unhappy with my lash extensions. I came in asking for dramatic dark eyelash extensions and ended up with very light translucent natural eye lashes. When I expressed my concerns I was told I should try the 3D lashes the next time, the technician them handed me the iPad asking if I wanted to tip on top of the $130 charge for lashes extensions. Poor service. Book elsewhere and get your money's worth. Reached out to the owner Gabby and also expressed my concerns, no offers to correct the sub-standard job or refund for the overpriced service. Stated that her technician was "sweet" despite the poor results I received. Military spouses if you're new to this area, skip this shop and give your patronage to a business willing to correct their mistakes and apologize when services are not up to par. I was going on vacation and wanted to look good for all the vacation photos. I did a lot of research on lash extensions before booking with Gabby at D'Gal Sugar and Lash Studio. I decided I wanted to try the NovaLash brand due to superior staying power. I had them done almost 2 weeks ago and they are still going strong despite my horrible aftercare of them. Gabby advised applying coconut oil to them and washing them with baby shampoo and because I don't normally fuss with the girly stuff I forget on a regular basis. She also advised me not to sleep on my stomach because it rubs the eyelashes in the pillow (may cause them to fall off) but I wake up in that position every day. I still have a very nice set of lashes, I just brush them before running in to work to straighten them out and still look glamorous. You don't have to wear mascara to make your eyes "pop". Everyone who was in our vacation group noticed them and thought they looked very natural and very nice. I probably won't get a fill because like I say, I'm not a girly girl, however I do recommend these to any ladies that like to be pretty. read more
