First he did tile work and gave us a quote for 3800 then behind my back changed the quote and got another 2000 extra out of my mother that I didn't even know, then we decided to hire him to install hardwood floors because he said he does it all the time, gave us a quote for 7300 and then did two days of sanding and came back and said it will be now almost 10k because he has to level and I decided to get estimates from other people and they all said all that is no necessary and the work he did was pointless, and my mother went ahead and paid him a 2000 dollar down payment and we unfortunately had to go elsewhere and now he says he only owes us 300 back out of the 2k and charged us for paying his employees and renting a sander(idk which hardwood flooring installer has to rent a sander then throw the price at you later) we agreed to pay him the 550 for the sanding in the quote and he said no it's now 1700 for all this stuff he decided to add on, also the people installing now got almost all the way done and have to stop because he didn't measure right. He came by our house 3 times to take measurements!! now the installers have to stop and have us order more while all our furniture is in the living room and my mother is without a room, on top of all this heartache I'm 6 months pregnant! I'd give 6 stars if I could! They were so responsive and able to get the work done super quick (other places were 2-3 weeks out). I only needed one room done and other places were asking outrageous amounts. The price quoted was very fair and was stuck to. They were very accomidating, great at communicating, and did a beautiful job. When we redo the rest of the flooring in our house down the line, we will certainly be using them again. read more

I'm a big fan of Yelp and I've benefited from others sharing their experiences for many years. I pretty much never go to a restaurant or hire a contractor unless they have great Yelp reviews. We hired Dominic based on a decent number of great Yelp reviews. Unfortunately we had a really rough experience working with him on a flooring project in one of our rental condos. It was an insurance claim so we weren't looking for the cheapest contractor, we were looking to hire someone reliable and professional who does good work. Dominic didn't show up on the day we'd scheduled, he sold himself as a crew but was a one man operation, he kept finding new "issues" that he somehow missed in his initial inspection and bid, he repeatedly asked for money before the job was done, he would get frustrated and rude when we'd ask reasonable questions, and then he ghosted us with the job less than half complete. I'm not sure what's going on with him but I would avoid them and find someone else for your flooring project. read more

Yes, he can be hard to get a hold of. Yes, he can get busy and you'll have to wait a few more weeks, but it's worth it. I had him come out to do work at my cabin in Cle Elum. Others who came out to give me quotes all complained about how my spiral staircase would be "difficult" and made it sound like it would be too much work and they didn't want the job. Dominic didn't complain when he saw it, he just said he'll make it look good. The pictures don't do it justice. We had him do a lot of work at the cabin, we ripped out the old carpet, put in new hardwoods in the loft and second level. Removed the laminate in the basement, leveled it and did porcelain tiles, redid the bathroom tiles, all new bottom molding, laminate squares in the laundry room, glass mosaic backsplash in the kitchen. Every year I think of something else for him to come do at the cabin and he never disappoints. He's a great guy that works with you to make it look good, sends me ideas of ways to save money on materials, and I bounce my ideas off of him to get his expertise. I first heard about him because my sister, who is super picky about the people she hires, had him do tiling at her place, and highly recommended him. He truly wants his customers to be happy and takes pride in what he does. He drove all the way to Mt. Vernon to pick up more pieces of hardwoods so he could replace a few boards for me. Found Dominic on Yelp and it was a great move hiring him. I did a full basement finish/remodel. Dominic tiled my entire bathroom (oversized floor tiles, 4" x 16" subway bath tiles). It looks unbelievable. He also installed about 400 sq ft of bamboo laminate. He did a great job. To top it off, there was an issue with the floor after I had carpet installed by another company. The transition between the carpet and bamboo caused the bamboo to pop up. Though it was obviously not Dominic's fault (at all), he helped me fix the problem on his own time and dime because the carpet company was so lame. He also leveled and flattened about 300 sq ft of the basement prior to floor installation Hire Dominic. Dominic did our floors, tile, and backsplashes during a full home remodel of my 2700sq.ft home. I had a couple bids and overall I went with Dominic based on his quality of work, his positive attitude when he came by to do the estimate, and the reviews he has on Yelp. Dominic is a family man, courteous, and is the one actually doing the work with a couple helpers. I felt comfortable with him in my home even when we were out of town. Dominic worked with my schedule as I had plumbers, drywallers, painters, electricians, etc all back to back between him working. Even on days we had multiple contractors in the house, he would plan his day around them (like working in a different room) so the other guys can get their work done. Now, the quality is where Dominic truly shines. He got us hooked up with his discount at CFM for materials (saved us a lot of money!). We bought high quality laminate and Dominic was available for questions during our selection process. We also went with tile for our guest and master bathrooms. We didn't plan on redoing our bathrooms, but after Dominic did the flooring, we saw how excellent it came out. He was able to provide us with a discounted quote since we were doing everything else with him. Some tips if you hire Dom. He doesn't cut corners, so there may be an additional cost for leveling. Might want to chat with Dom ahead of time, it is costly depending on how many areas need it, BUT it is necessary for the floors to sit properly. Keep in mind, Dom is the owner and the person doing the work, he is very busy but he always answers his clients calls and texts. I would definitely hire Dom again for future projects! read more

Dominic is an artist with tile and wood. He's truly gifted. We decided to give our 90's house a serious overhaul and asked Dominic to do all of it. He redid all three bathrooms, every square foot of living space, and even our fireplaces. The entire project took 3 months, and was a huge undertaking. Dominic always showed up on time, and when there was a delay or setback he was forthright and honest with us about it. He also was extremely responsive whenever we texted him - something exceedingly rare with contractors. Best of all, Dominic was fairly priced, didn't gouge us, and was very organized with receipts and paperwork. He's also a really nice guy, and worked very well with my wife. Hi, we hired Dominic for installing our baseboards. When no-one else was agreeing to do the job since we were not doing the flooring, Dominic agreed to do this for us. He quoted us very fair price. He and his partner Alex did an amazing job on that. Our house a lot of angles, which added additional work for them, but they didn't cut the corner. Dominic is an expert in this area. The designer we were working with pushed her tile guy onto us, and I didn't like the guy, he was an absolute jerk. Dominic came recommended from a contractor we know personally who works with Dominic regularly. Dominic came out to size up the job, gave us some guidance on where to get tile and we were on our way. Dominic provided us an estimate and stuck to it. Dominic is a perfectionist. A perfectionist who stays on budget is who you want doing your tile work. It is hard to tell from my poor picture but he made the subway tile line up perfectly on all edges, and even made the corners look like some bent the tile perfectly and maintain its dimensions. Super meticulous attention to detail. Great job on building the shower pan, installing shower subway, penny rounds for floor and back of nooks, quarter round, bathroom tile and grouting. I am so glad we had the opportunity to work with Dominic and would definitely work with him again. The only recommendation I would have is to sit down with Dominic with the final plans and get the measurements on tile firmed up before ordering. We had to go back and get some additional tile, but Dominic was so flexible and even ran back to the tile shop to pickup the extra order of tile needed. We just had Dominic do two of our bedrooms with tile (wood look alike). He was very friendly and professional and the result was perfect (I usually expect some imperfections, but not with him) . Dominic was quick to respond to my message and scheduled a visit to do an estimate the next day. I certainly appreciate the responsiveness here. However, the day of the appointment, he simply didn't show up. I called him 2 hours later to ask where he was, and he said he was too busy and didn't get freed up when he expected. Dominic takes pride in his craftmanship. He takes the time to do the job well and focus on minute details. He replaced carpet with vinyl flooring and installed wall base. His craftmanship is reflected in the final outcome. He does the job himself. It does mean that it may take a little longer, but if you want floor to last longer, it is well worth the extra wait in order for Dominic to do the job well with his professionalism and almost perfectionist expectation. It is hard to come by when contractors usually push for speed over quality. At my house, there are a few spots that are not flat or need some minor fixup, and Dominic takes the time to level it at extra cost. Dominic is upfront about possibility of extra cost. In reality, the extra cost is better than laying materials on uneven ground, and having uneven flooring later while saving a bit of money upfront. I first went on Yelp to look for a great tiler, and I definitely found one! Dominic & Rudy were brought in to replace our old hardwood floor in our kitchen & old carpet in our living room. They ripped out that and laid three floors of tile (kitchen, living room & pantry). Plus they found rotted wood under our dishwasher, and he replaced part of the subfloor too! Then they came back and tiled our kitchen backsplash, and all our pantry walls, which look amazing. Dominic & Rudy are hardworking, professional, polite, helpful and all round great guys. We ran short on tile, and they went to the store and picked us more up, plus giving us tips on colors of grout! They couldn't be any more helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending Dominic. Dominic is a perfectionist and the beautiful work he completed in our home reflects his meticulous nature. Our General Contractor hired a company to complete tile installation in a guest bathroom. The work was so poorly executed that all of the tile had to be removed and redone. Our contractor claimed the selected tile could never be installed properly because of our designer's layout specifications.
