We highly recommend North Tahoe Builders.

I was referred to Northern Sky Builders by a trusted vendor I worked with during a remodeling…read moreproject, who had consistently positive experiences recommending them to clients in the Tahoe area. Of the five contractors I reached out to, Huber from Northern Sky Builders stood out as the most responsive and professional -- his estimates were clear, timely, and well thought out. While our project didn't finish exactly on the original timeline due to weather-related delays, Huber's crew went above and beyond to make up for lost time, even working weekends to keep things on track. What truly impressed me, though, was Huber's follow-through long after the project was done. Nearly a year later, I had a plumbing emergency over a weekend and reached out to him for help. He responded immediately and went the extra mile to coordinate a same-day solution -- his crew picked up and installed a new water heater within hours, preventing any disruption to our guests. I wouldn't hesitate to work with Huber and Northern Sky Builders again. They deliver high-quality work, are honest, responsive, and reasonably priced -- all the qualities you hope for in a contractor, but rarely find all in one company.

Farshad visited our home to provide an estimate on some exterior work we need done. He was frank,…read moreand seemed disinterested, when we said we were seeking the best price & value for our work. He said his company is more expensive than others, and his staff speaks English. We asked for an estimate for some work, and advised we were going to get a few others. He said to show him the other estimates and then he would consider if he could beat their prices and do the work. He said his company is very busy, and selective about the jobs they choose. I think he was just looking for $$$. He never sent an estimate, and when I followed up with him about it, he said, "I thought you were going to send me the other estimates, so I could see if we could beat their price." I think he wasted our time, and felt we wasted his. I did not think this was good customer service at all. Their work may be great, but you cannot be so dismissive to potential customers.

This was on a Friday. He was supposed to buy baseboards over the weekend and paint them and then install on Monday. It lightly snowed on Monday and he didn't show up. Then Tuesday came and he didn't show up and wouldn't answer texts either. He said he was gonna show up on Wednesday. When I confirmed again, he said it was too stressful and he wasn't gonna do the job and kept the $200. Bad faith dealing. I wanted to give him a chance despite his bad reviews but he totally messed up and kept the $200. He said that was the price for measuring! Do not hire him and save yourself a lot of anguish.
