He took over an hour to meet with me at his Avon store to go over our club's options for new uniforms. He didn't try to sell me on something that didn't fit within our budget, which I appreciated. He was easily accessible and excellent with communication during the design process. He even went through extra effort to deliver our items to the greenwood store since we live in the area. We had many teams to provide uniforms for. Each team was separated and labeled by player. So amazing. Phil rocks! I will definitely continue to give my business to this locally-owned store that goes above and beyond.

But what I do know is that they provide a service to Avon and the neighboring community when it comes to personalizing band/athletic clothing. My wife has a lot of sewing equipment at home, but even she prefers to come here when it comes to having our grandsons' letter jackets embroidered. She can get the jackets in the school colors here, and have them embroidered with the school name (official logo) and personalized with our boys' names. And as they earn patches for competitions they perform in, my wife is able to have them added to the jackets in a reasonable time frame. It isn't a cheap place, but it is done well and looks professionally done. Our oldest grandson's jacket has held up well and we haven't had any problems with the patches becoming loose. We recently picked up our next grandson's new jacket and it turned out great. We are looking forward to continued service from this business as our grandchildren progress. Review #3363

Academy Sports is extremely clean and well organized, plus each department is easy to find. Sale items were clearly marked and quickly caught our attention. Many brands are only carried here and for brands that are carried in both, the variety is higher in this location. It probably helps that it is a two story location. We have also found on a few visits that the customer service here is great. They have a large golfing section here too for the golf fans and a big sports team section including local teams and nearby colleges. Even though this is farther away from out home, we tend to go out of our way to shop here!

Like most malls, Perry Crossing has experienced some of the more traditional anchors going away. You've definitely got some of the familiar places from a traditional mall - JCPenney, Yankee Candle, Bath & Body Works, Claire's, Dick's Sporting Goods and others. Food options here? Bru Burger, El Toro, Hot Box Pizza, Schakolad Chocolate Factory, Rocket Fizz, Stone Creek Dining Company, Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt, and Theo's Italian. There's a Barnes & Noble here. There's AMC Perry Crossing. There's a splash pad for the kiddos. There's a family restroom between Zales and Yankee Candle (also available for nursing moms). Curb cuts are solid. Accessible parking is plentiful. Because this is an open-air concept, be aware that as accessible as everything is you'll still be going from store-to-store outside for the most part. So, plan accordingly. I generally do fine here, however, for those with mobility concerns or who might require assistance it's important to remember that during inclement weather you're not really protected from the elements. Overall, I like this shopping center. Things are well labeled, well organized, and parking is pretty reasonable. While it's not my favorite Indy retail spot, I often forget how much I like it until I am here.
