I have my own skates, so I didn't rent, but they have plenty of skates available for rental. They also have skate-walkers (not sure what they're called) that can be helpful for kiddos learning to keep their balance. While we were there, a lot of the arcade games were broken/out of order, but we still found some to play like skeeball. Sometimes kids were stopping on the floor when they shouldn't have been or started going backwards. I wish staff would've spoken up more about that because it was an accident waiting to happen! But maybe they're more enforcing of the rules during open skating a than private fundraising events. In other terms of safety, there was a police officer on site for security. The music was a mix of things but a lot of pop songs the kids were singing along to. The staff hosted some games that the kids enjoyed along with the open skate time. All in all, we had a great time and would come back!

This is really a great option for those in Indy. Close to downtown areas and it is has inside and…read moreoutside bays. Inside bays are heated, so that helps out before after the real season. Cost is extremely cheap and they have a 3 par course. This is reasonably priced and helps a lot with chipping and shots! Loved the greens and the trees throughout. They take very good care of the place. Inside, is older. There are options for drinks and a simulator that can be rented. The only bad thing to say is that the inside does have a musty smell and this past week when I was in, it smelled like weed inside which was definitely a turn off. The bays are clean and there are options for training with a separate training room. I had used Ali in the past but moved to another facility for more in-depth training. Overall, this is one that is near my work, so easy to get in and out and parking is never an issue. Generally there are enough bays that you don't have to worry about space.

Instead of being welcoming or helpful, he was an absolute ass to us and made us feel uncomfortable right away. It really put a damper on what was supposed to be an enjoyable round of golf. Hopefully management addresses this, because the attitude of one employee can really affect someone's overall experience at the course.

This park has a lot of potential. It is not a very well visited park. I saw a few people come there…read morewhile I was there, but they did not stay long. It has a modest, but adequate parking lot for visitors to park. You will find a couple of very nice full basketball courts in the front of the park. The court is well paved and the rims can be raised and lowered. Even I could dunk on them. just behind the basketball courts, are two tennis courts. They are in pretty good shape too. The park is home to two shelters. They are in fair condition, but have a very limited amount of picnic tables under them. There are also grills just outside of the shelters. The park features a decent playground area that is on a bed of wood chips. The area has benches on its perimeter for caregivers to sit and watch their littles. The playgrounds equipment includes a bank of traditional/infant swings with a nest saucer swing, a small and medium jungle gym with slides, bridges, tunnels, and a sliding pole. a large pebble bridge setup with a climbing wall and Jacobs ladder, and a spinning net climber. The equipment is in pretty good shape. Other park amenities include a nice paved trail and a decent path of green space that is suitable for activities such a picnic, playing catch, flying a kite, a football or soccer game. The park is poorly maintained, or I caught it on a bad day. There was trash all over the place, trash cans were knocked over. On a positive note, the grass was cut. This is a nice park to visit, if you are in the area. They do not have any restrooms, but they have just about eveything else that I look for in a park. I would not label it a destination park, but still worthy of being a place that you spend some time.

I have waited weeks to post this review but time has not mitigated my anger at how my son and I…read morewere treated by the management of Carmel Racquetball Club. My 11-year-old son and I played pickleball for months at the Club then suddenly we were told that "liability" issues would prevent him from playing there again. My son is a very talented, mature player who got along very well with the adults, or so it seemed. Apparently one or more adults did not want a child playing regardless of skill level or temperament. That's selfish and intolerant but ultimately their decision. My problem is the hypocrisy of the management which allows tennis players my son's age or younger to play there on a regular basis but excludes my son. Is tennis a safer game than pickleball? In any case, no apology was made or workaround offered. I urge pickleball players to choose the Pearson Automotive Tennis Center; it's a much more welcoming place.

That said, the facilities themselves are well below par. The locker rooms and bathrooms are beyond outdated. Furthermore the locker rooms and bathrooms are extremely dirty. I am not sure these are even cleaned daily. And when the pool is open, which is not a guaranty, the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. Our child went here for tennis lessons. Beware of missing a lesson - you will not be given a refund or allowed to reschedule. A no refund policy is understandable, if undesirable, however the fact that you can't reschedule is ridiculous. My child hurt their foot, was in a walking boot and the response from the club when attempting to reschedule - 'Too bad, no refunds or makeup classes under any circumstances.' Our 3 children have participated in many activities over 10 years and this is the only time we were not allowed a makeup class. I certainly wouldn't consider this good customer service. Do yourself a favor and avoid the Carmel Racquet Club. Between the poor facilities and lacking customer service, it is worth the drive to find a better club.
