While eating my small Steak °9, all k could think about was him... that being Jersey Mike. Not only did my sandwich fall short on its own, it paled in comparison to JM's. First, there was the steak. Even though I sunk my teeth into the sando as soon as it was ready, I found the protein bland as well as on the tough and chewy side. Then there was the overall balance. After having the thoughts: I wish there were more [veggies, cheese, protein] enter my head, I realized I wish there was more of everything. I feel that the balance is skewed heavily towards bread, leaving what should be the star of the movie as "Waiter #3." This is a very minor thing, but it showed a strong dedication to quality customer service. Shortly after placing my online order Ricky from the Hancock Street (Quincy MA) store called me to let me know that they were out of the drink that I wanted. He let me know which replacements were available and that if that was a deal breaker he could easily cancel my order. Ordered a chicken salad sub early Wednesday afternoon through DoorDash. The bread was stale and whoever made the sandwich barely put any of the contents in the sandwich. Just chucked everything on top of the bread in clumps. Nothing was spread out it was made by someone who gave zero F***s. I tried to put the contents in the sandwich and attempted to eat it. First bite, they used old dried out chicken. Not just dry chicken, chicken that was hard and old, like it was sitting out for a couple days uncovered. I threw it in the trash because there is no doubt in my mind I would have got food poisoning and then in turn would have gone straight to that store wearing a diaper and holding a puke bucket so they could enjoy the biological aftermath they created before I force fed the sandwich artist the rest of this biohazard of a sandwich. If you like a meat packed sandwich D'angelo is the place for you. My husband ordered the sandwich #9 and I ordered the BLT. The sandwiches were done in less than 10 minutes and the ordering process was speedy. I personally that my BLT had way too much bacon for my liking and could have used much more tomatoes and lettuce. The same thing goes for the #9 steak sandwich. I felt that it could have used more peppers and onions. They were a bit stingy on the veggies but I'm sure that's something you could ask for more of if you liked. My husband definitely didn't complain about the lack of veggies and if your a meat lover, neither will you. The sandwiches are a good option for lunch but I couldn't really see myself eating it for any other meal. I felt that the tables and the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner but other than that the place was average. They have a couple of booths, some small tables, and some window seating.
