This review is based on the others experience, plus my own about the ambiance. The ambiance is truly great, it just feels good with pictures on the wall and the while package. If you're looking for glitzy stuff this isn't the place, if your looking for awesome food, this is the place. Restaurant is very clean and tidy, yet aged. From what the others have said the seafood here is second to none, and very reasonably priced. There is nothing negative that they mentioned and even the inexperienced crawfish eaters had a blast. The experienced ones keep coming back for more, almost exclusively to this place for crawfish. The seafood is perfectly seasoned and served piping hot! Can get it to go too! The cocktail sauce is a make your own thing though they provide the ingredients. They also serve cans of soda as well as bottles of water. Limited hours Monday through Friday, weekends they're open more. If in the area, and you went good crawfish or shrimp, this is a must eat at place! Don't think twice, just come here!

You can get just boiled crabs or just boiled crawfish when they are in season as well. The outside looks run down but don't judge a book by it's cover, its just an old building. When you think about real Louisiana hole-in-the wall, like your grandma made it seafood Richard's embodies all of that. The buffet has fried catfish, fried frog legs, fried crawfish, seafood balls, gumbo (seafood and chicken/sausage), and lots of other things. They even have boiled crabs on the buffet. Service is prompt and friendly and very informal, as we knew when we were asked if we knew what we wanted or if we wanted menus. Crawfish were not too spicy but some generous in size. Sides of boiled corn, potatoes, sausages, and sweet potato fries were good. An enjoyable meal, but probably not worth a road trip from New Orleans.

History: My parents had 2 homes; one @ South Crowley & one @ Intracoastal City, so I frequented Robie's for decades. I can hear my late Mom: "Son, when you get to Robie's, get me a small sack of yellow onions. Ask the butcher to split & season 3 small fryers for our BBQ tomorrow." Champagne's Robie's is still mostly called "Robie's" by many of us. They now carry multiple frozen products from local food companies like "LENA'S" & "Ouida's". Crawfish pies, seafood egg rolls, shrimp dishes, etc. When I last visited the in-store made boudin was unavailable, but I think that may have been corrected by now.
