D&S Harley-Davidson near Phoenix, OR Nov. 7, 2012

The service department here is outstanding. They do excellent work, back up their work and are very accommodating. The sales staff are knowledgable and will give you a fair deal on new and used motorcycles. This is a family business with three generations involved.

Amazing customer service. They DO care. These people are riders, not just salesmen or mechanics. You never feel pressured there. Always welcome, always greeted with a smile. A handshake goes a long way here. I have never had this kind of experience at any other dealership. These people walk the the talk. Try it, you'll like it. Their downfall however and the reason that they didn't get 5 stars is that they don't service bikes older than a certain number of years. Even if you bought the bike there. I don't know if it's a shop or Harley-Davidson decision but it's a bad one and pisses people like me off. If you sell it you have to service it.

As you can imagine, Southern Oregon, is a great place to ride, not to mention the coast in Spring and Fall.

After a ride to work, I noticed a past-bald patch on the rear tire of my motorcycle. Since I…read morerecently moved, I don't have any equipment to take my tire off. After calling around a bunch of places, Specialized Powersports offered the lowest price to replace the tire. After getting the new tire shipped in, I called them on the day of, brought the tire and my bike in, and they had it done within an hour. They even oiled the chain for me! They were incredibly nice. Though, did use some sarcastic humor to keep things light. But 10/10, I will come back to them again.

Unfortunately, we don't have much of a selection of motorcycle service shops here in the Rogue Valley, so I took my chances. I had asked Justin at Specialized Powersports to please diagnose the problem on my dirt bike, and to call me with any updates. I had assumed that the float was stuck in the carburetor. Justin and I had agreed upon $100 dollars to diagnosis the issue, and that if it was something small, he would just fix it for the $100 dollars. Anything more than that, he would call me to see what I wanted to do. Two weeks go by with no word. I had left a voicemail asking for an update the week prior, which was never returned. I decided to go down to the shop in person to see if there were any updates. When I arrived, I had immediately noticed that my dirt bike had some brand new parts on it that I never agreed to. I asked Justin what the updates were, and asked if he had replaced anything on the bike. I also reminded him of our agreement of the $100 dollar diagnostic fee, and that he would contact me before charging any extra or replace anything. Justin seemed surprised that I had not been contacted since originally dropping the bike off, two weeks prior. He proceeded to tell me that the bike runs great now, after having replaced the carburetor, fuel lines, fuel filter, re-jetting the carburetor, and that we were just waiting on a new air filter before it would be ready. I personally, had just rebuilt the carburetor myself, along with replacing the air filter and a handful of other things that Justin knew about, before bringing the bike into the shop. I knew that he was trying to take advantage of me. Justin told me that "I wasn't in repairs very much. Under $300 bucks for sure." I was livid. I told him to immediately cease any further work, I did not want the air filter, and that I would pay him for the work that he did, but I'm taking the bike. It seems to me, that Justin was unable to track down the problem, so he either threw a bunch of new parts on the bike 'hoping' to fix it, or he is just another dishonest mechanic, trying to up-sale the customer as much as possible. I will never go back, and I highly suggest the same. I'd rather make the drive to a more reputable and honest shop. I'm surprised this place is still in business, with the way they operate.

But wait...there's a Napa auto part store in the parking lot to the rescue! Not only did they have the correct parts in stock, but Sean loaned socket set and a wrench and came out to help. Such a lifesaver and we're back on the road! Thank you!

We went into the store to return it and the associate stated that they no longer carry that brand because "that brand is known for having that issue". The associate that was working at the time was able to look up our receipt for us but then said because they no longer carry that brand they didn't know how to process the exchange and to come back in a few days when the manager would be there. Okay, fine, kind of a hassle, but we went with it. Came back the day she said to only to now be told that 1. They can't look up the receipt for us, but 2. They require the receipt to return the battery. Wait, what?! For something that you flat out told me is known to be defective? To top it all off, they then proceeded to try to SELL us another battery! Between being out of work because of COVID and having a 5 month old to care for, we couldn't afford the FIRST battery and now you're trying to squeeze more money out of us?! WHAT A SCAM!

I had been having an issue with my cars rear fender piece popping out, even if I push the piece back in it'll inevitably come out again. This was actually the second auto part store I'd been to today and my treatment was just as bad if not worse than the first store. In the beginning of the interaction, the employee was actually super helpful. He listened to my problem, walked me to the part I needed and then helped pick out the right one. He even offered to check my car to make sure the part would actually work. We got outside and he takes a look at my car, first at the broken side, and then at the normal side then back at the broken side again. He then informed me that the part I thought I needed wouldn't actually fix the problem. This is where the interaction goes downhill. He then says, and I quote, "do you have a boyfriend?" THEN PAUSES for a second before continuing, "or a dad or other male figure who knows how to use a drill?" WHAT THE HELL!!!!! I just kinda stood there in shock because I know how to use a drill. It's 2022 I shouldn't have to say this but I don't need a man to help me fix my car! I am competent on my own!!! He continues to stare at me waiting for an answer so I panic and just say "yeah I know someone who can help" He then goes, "alright yeah have him look at it and he'll fix it for you." WTF!!!!!! So naturally I asked him to elaborate so I could "pass it on" to the imaginary man who is going to repair my car for me. He explains it to me as if I were five. I am not one to pull a "Karen" so I played nice during this whole interaction. After he walked back into the store, with the part I did need but didn't purchase because he said I didn't need it, (spoiler I went and bought it from elsewhere and now my car is fixed) I drove off, pretty damn pissed and decided to never come back to AutoZone again. Not that I need to validate the fact that I can use a drill, but I have worked in construction before. Also the solution he proposed for my car was not viable and would have done more damage than necessary. Thanks auto zone
