I'd like to think her staff treated me like they would have treated their own family. I was really scared of being in pain during my visit, but with their amazing skills and understanding, I managed to relax and overcome my fears. Now my teeth are feeling better and look much better too! That would have never happened without Dr. Kathy and her staff. I am back to smiling again! Thank you Monona Dental.

I was surprised at how fast it was done. I do not recommend this place at all because they're nothing but a hassle. I've been needing to get…read moremy wisdom teeth removed for quite some time now, so I chose Access because they offer discounts to people like me without dental insurance. The process of going there was wonderful - the facility is clean and the staff are friendly; however, after my appointment, where I got xrays and a referral for oral surgery, it took 5 calls in the span of 23 days (each time telling me that the scheduler wasn't available and would call me back) for them to finally tell me that they can't schedule me for surgery because there's a 3 month waiting list. Not only that, but they were unable to refer me anywhere else because "the only other place that accepts our referrals is in Milwaukee and they're booked up for months as well." I feel like going here was a complete waste of time because now I have to find a new dentist and do the exam/xrays all over again, which is going to end up costing me more.

Unfortunately, I couldn't save the tooth; a crown wasn't an option, so I had to have surgical removal of erupted tooth. Dr. Andrew Nothem and his assistant (I forgot her name--Kyle, I think) were fantastic! They took X-rays and performed an evaluation of the tooth. They let me know exactly how much everything would cost, so I wasn't surprised by the final bill. Everyone in the office was very polite and professional, and the office itself was also very clean. I highly recommend this place; they have a great team working there. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that one of the doctors spoke Polish in that facility . When I explained how I cant afford that, (with a baby coming and heart surgery), I was told to ask my mom and dad or grandparents to pay for it. I was scoffed at when I said I didn't want x-rays (due to being pregnant). I was asked if I eat unhealthy and I explained I eat very healthy and have gestational diabetes so eat even healthier now and the minute I said diabetes she said "oh that's why." I asked, "that's why what?" And she said diabetes from eating unhealthy will cause these issues with your teeth. Very little health literacy on her part. Diabetes is more genetic, not all cases are from diet, especially gestational diabetes.
