I ran into this organization at a showcase in Santa Rosa and couldn't wait to do business with them. I had a woman who had worked hard for me for 8 years, who finally made partner. I was excited to get a nice wall display made with her newspaper article that the Press Democrat did about her promotion. When I called, I identified myself and where I was calling from, and the owner promptly said he wasn't interested in my services and hung up on me. He then avoided my call several times. Then he finally answered and said, "Wasn't I clear?" And then I explained that I was a prospect looking for help with a display and asked if he meant to treat me the way he did. He said he gets too many calls and then hung up on me again. Don't call, I guess. Maybe walk in? I'll go somewhere else. read more

They have excellent engraving available. My husband likes to add a plaque to gift boxes he makes. They are fast, efficient and reasonably priced. read more

Had such an amazing experience here! Dennis was a pleasure to work with. I called on 12/23 and in my mind wanted something engraved for Christmas. I was too embarrassed to ask though since it was so close so hoped to get it back by the New Year. However, Dennis was the one who asked if I needed it for Christmas and said if I could get right down there I could pick it up the next day. Sure enough on Christmas Eve, less than 24 hours later, 2 shiny medals for my husband were beautifully engraved and ready to be wrapped! The store had many lovely things they had engraved, personalized gift items, etched wine bottles, and more on display. The level of professionalism, attention to detail, and outstanding customer service were very much appreciated. Thank you Dennis and team. I will definitely be back. read more

Dennis and Sherryl are amazing at what they do. They are both extremely responsive. I was getting frustrated by the lack of affordable options for a class plaque online, and went to this place in hopes they would guide me in the right direction. I explained what I was looking for and they immediately knew what to offer. I placed an order with them, got a $ quote, and the turn around to production and the plaque being ready was DAYS ahead of schedule. I was so impressed! I am local to this business so I did not have to experience shipping, I picked up in person. Such nice owners and the finished product was excellent! Can't wait to put it up in our facility! read more

We needed small plaques engraved with the name of our pets who had passed over the years and a quick trip to D&S was all that was needed to select exactly what we needed. The next day, our pets' urns all have very nice name plates and best of all we supported a local business. It is far too easy to use the internet for everything but we lose a piece of ourselves every time we do that without trying to support our local businesses first. read more

I came here late on Thursday, as I was pulling up the gentlemen was actually locking the front door. So I became one of those customers, asked the obvious question " are you closing?" He said he was and asked what I needed. I told him I wanted a flask engraved. He said he could do it and invited me in. Gave him the flask and what I wanted, he said no problem and will be ready in about a week. Again, I became one of those customers and said I needed it in two days. Again he said he would do it, it was actually done the next day. Thats how you run a business, and I will be back. read more

D & S Awards, LLC - Couldn't be happier - Trophy Shops Near Me - Santa Rosa, California

Fantastic experience! I made the huge mistake of going to another engraver in Santa Rosa who botched my trophy and still charged me for the errant work (Jay's, please don't ever set foot near this place) so I was somewhat frayed and cynical went I entered D&S. Long story short, the woman I worked with (Sherryl) was super easy to collaborate with and had my work done in ONE day after the other place taking two months and screwing up the work. I don't know if Sherryl sensed my frustration and went out of her way to expedite my work but she managed to take really, really miserable experience and make me almost happy about it since I now know about D&S. Definitely earned a long time customer and fan. read more

With so little time before my event I wasn't sure I could get what I needed in time. Trevor Wilkinson was quick to help and walked me through the entire process with ease. He got me the award that I needed with quickness and quality work. I really couldn't ask for more! Next time you need any sort of award or trophy this should be your first pick. Don't forget to ask for Trevor! read more

If I can give zero stars I would. Extremely rude and awful customer service. Poor communication from start to finish. Product was mediocre at best, most likely cheap products from china. Would not recommend doing business with Dennis. read more

My Rotary Club needed a Past President plaque for our outgoing President. We are going to meet in person for the first time in three months next Wednesday. The best customer service! Sherryl went out of her way to not only provide us with exactly what we wanted and in such a short time!! Highly recommend her and will definitely use them again!!! read more

I am a local small business owner. Over the last several years, Sherryl has made employee name badges with magnetic backs for our new hires. I just email her what I want and she emails me back a proof. The order is completed and ready for pick up quickly. I appreciate that my order is correct on the first attempt. It is a pleasure working with Sherryl. read more

The owner/operator of this business was exceptionally rude and stubborn toward me. I sent him some artwork to etch onto a beer growlers. He sent me a proof via email that had a large portion missing, so I told him that. He said it looked fine on his end, but I knew there's no way it could have. I explained in more detail exactly what was wrong. He realized what was wrong and his response was just "The world of electronic art," as if the mistake was with the computer or program. The work eventually got done and it looked fine. My coworker paid him upon picking up the growlers. The owner then emailed me an invoice to pay, and I paid it, assuming he kept records of who has already paid. When we discovered that D&S had been paid twice, I requested the owner send the check back to me. He offered to shred it. However, according to our accounting department we have to destroy the check ourselves, or else we have to stop payment and pay a fee to the bank. The owner had a problem with that and criticized the efficiency of my employer. Inappropriate. He offered to send it "if you don't think my shredder is good enough." He said he set it aside and will get to it when he has time, and complained about having to pay his bookkeeper and time and postage. Just for returning a check that he hadn't opened. He said I could pick it up, and since I didn't want to wait for him to put it in the mail, I drove across town to pick it up. The gas/time the drive surely took more than it would for him to return an envelope. After he saw this review, instead of contacting me, he contacted my employer to request they violate my first amendment rights by having me remove my review, and he lied to them by saying he couldn't contact me even though he had my email, phone number, and address, and could message me via Yelp or reply publicly. Then he repeatedly harassed me for posting this review, which just reaffirmed he's a bully. Most business owners/managers would simply apologize for their inappropriate comments and poor customer service. Through his rebuttal it was clear he failed to grasp that my problem with him was his treatment toward me rather than his work. Find someone else to etch your trophies. read more

I have to say that D&S has been a great company to work with. I own a marketing company... and no they are not a client, but they are a vendor that I trust for quality work and products as well as treating me and my employees in a respectful and helpful manner. The owner, Dennis, has a dry sense of humor, but it never comes across as rude or not caring. He has always shown a great amount of knowledge for the products he offers and especially his custom engraving. I feel fortunate to have a wine bottle trophy sitting in my office that was purchased by the presenter, through D&S Awards. Would it be too much to say these guys are award winning in my book? read more

D & S Awards in Santa Rosa is top notch! I needed a personalized piece created in a short period of time. Dennis stepped up to the plate and handled the project with professionalism and ease. He listened and assessed my needs, then customized it to perfection. I am thrilled with the final product; a medallion necklace with my loved ones thumbprint engraved beautifully on the back. This is a family owned business thriving in Sonoma County for over 25 years. I love supporting local businesses, and recommend D & S Awards to anyone who values quality, customer service, timeliness, and professionalism. Thank you Dennis! read more

I dropped in to see if an acrylic award that fell off my shelf could be repaired - the base had detached. The gentleman showed me how it was originally barely adhered, gave it an injection of special fluid and I was out the door in no time with advice to let it completely adhere for 2 hours. There was no charge for the repair service and the award is back on my shelf. I offered to pay but he wouldn't take any money-asked me to post my review on Yelp instead so it's 5 stars based on my experience. Thank you for fixing this special lifetime achievement award I had won. read more

Great products at very competitive pricing. Work gets done fairly quickly too AND talk about service: They're not open on Saturdays but Dennis came by our place on Saturday (the day of our event) to personally drop off the awards so we would have them there. Thanks so much guys! read more

I've been going to D&S Awards for a few years now ordering awards for a special event I organize once a year! Dennis and his shop has never disappointed me with their promptness on artwork previews and production time. This year I came to him needing some special work done and there were some major delays on artwork on my end. Deadlines came and went and yet Dennis was very patient with me and amazingly pulled it off in time for the event. I was beyond pleased with his business and will continue to go back! He is always very helpful in guiding me to the best deal and product for what I need at the time. I highly recommend this business! read more

I don't need these sorts of things often, but the times I've been to D & S Awards they are super pleasant and accommodating. Keep supporting this great local business so they're around when I need them! I wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

I contacted Sherryl for an engraving on a soccer trophy. The season was about to start and I needed a rush. I couldn't let the U10G's go their first game without one of them receiving the player of the game trophy. I dropped off the trophy on Friday and was quoted Tuesday. That was OK, my fault for leaving it so late and D&S are very busy. I get to my office and Sherryl calls and says "Hey that trophy you just dropped off, we can make it happen today. Come pick it up before 5pm". NICE!!! The player I awarded the trophy for player of the game was very happy! Thank you Sherryl for your hustle and help. The engraving looks amazing. I will use you again. read more

Need a brass plaque to honor or remember someone, to put on a bench or a wall? Might you also need expert advice on typeface, attachment options and so forth? Then get yourself to Dennis Wilkinson at D&S Awards on Piner Road in Santa Rosa, right at the signal where Airway comes in. He will help with tricky decisions, place your order, provide two proofs and, best of all, if you are facing difficulties mounting your plaque, he will go out of his way to help you resolve it. That is the best reason to shop there and leave the cut rate web purveyors to others. read more

My friend and I came to D&S Awards in crisis mode. We needed an engraved plaque and we need it in just a few days. The owner and his staff were wonderfully helpful and with their expertize produced a beautiful plaque, on time for the dedication ceremony. We now have another project and we are going right back to D&S Awards for their help. I highly recommend this company based on my experience. read more

I had purchased an engraved award from an online company and discovered a typo with very little time before it was needed. After calling and visiting seven local trophy/award stores, I was unable to find anyone who was even willing to attempt a fix. I got in touch with D&S and was told to come on down! Dennis was honest and up front in saying that it might not turn out very well, but I had nothing to lose. He was able to produce a perfect product for me, in much less time than I had anticipated. Rather than going online in the future, I'm heading straight to D&S! read more
