Their guys showed up on time. They were courteous. They were respectful of us, and respectful of our home. They asked for our input when they got to a part that required some judgement. They performed mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and drywall work. All done nearly to perfection. And they passed the acid test; after they left, I noticed two small things which I thought could have done better. They returned immediately and made these right. And they sent an invoice almost a week later (giving us an opportunity to discover any other issues, which we did NOT), and the invoice was for the exact amount of the estimate. They accepted my credit card payment over the phone. Our job was a small one, but they have definitely encouraged us to contact them again for our next job - small or large. They have good fabricators that they are partnered with for cutting your stone to size and install. Their website is pretty good and will give you a good idea of what to expect when you go, but nothing replaces going in person. Plan to spend some time there to go through what they have, but once you pick what you want, they are great, friendly and helpful. Have used 2x and will definitely repeat when needed.

The Friendly staff & a large welcoming lobby (offering coffee & donuts) makes Aracruz RE a win-win for me. I ended up purchasing there.

Very frustrating experience. I would not use this contractor again…read more I signed a contract for a repair job for about $1,350. After the contract was already signed, the contractor returned with a subcontractor, looked at the house again, and then sent a new estimate for roughly $1,300 more, nearly doubling the original price. Because the price changed so much after the agreement, I decided not to move forward. No actual repair work was done on the house, but I was still charged $300 to cancel the contract after what was basically a short walkthrough visit. I understand that construction projects can uncover additional issues, but I did not expect the cost to increase that much after signing, and I definitely did not expect to be charged a cancellation fee when no work had been performed. In my opinion, the process felt very one-sided and not customer friendly. I recommend that anyone considering this company read the contract very carefully, especially the cancellation terms and how change orders are handled, before signing anything.
