My car required quite a bit of troubleshooting, and I really appreciated how patient they were throughout the entire process. Omar did a great job keeping me informed every step of the way. I always knew what they were looking into and what they found. Whenever something needed to be repaired, they gave me several options and explained everything clearly without making me feel pressured into choosing one particular route. That honestly made a big difference and gave me a lot more confidence in the work being done. It's not easy finding a shop that will take the time to properly troubleshoot an issue, communicate with you, and treat your car like it matters. Ikonic Garage definitely earned my trust, and I'll be bringing my BMW back to them in the future. Big thanks to Omar and the whole team for making what could have been a stressful experience much easier!

A special thank you to Narek, who was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and honest throughout the entire process. He took the time to explain everything in detail and answered all of my questions. If you're considering buying a car and need a reliable PPI, I highly recommend this shop. Their attention to detail and transparency are outstanding. I will definitely be coming back in the future.

AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care

I went here in July of this year and they changed my transmission oil and pressured tested my…read morecoolant system to find a leak I suspected having. I've also had a small problem with my car not accelerating smoothly, occassionally. This issue wasn't resolved because it was hard to say what was causing it without basically fixing or doing upkeep on the vehicle until the issue is resolved, and I chose not to do that. I did appreciate being told of the maintenance my car could use or possibilities causing the issue. In the end, my coolant issue was resolved and my transmission oil replaced and paid $1,200. This I thought was on the expensive end. I had a smaller mechanic place quote me for 1/3 the price, but they weren't going to do a pressure test, just said they saw where the leak was. AAMCO found where it was leaking and it would not have been found without the pressure test. Glad I didn't trust the method of the smaller mechanic business, and am glad I went with this reputable Burbank AAMCO location. A little pricey but worth it. I give this place 5-stars. There was a time shortly after being fixed that I thought my car was still leaking coolant and I called in and was invited to come in for them to take a closer look (repair came with limited time warranty). I ended up being wrong and my eyes deceived me and coolant was in fact full in the resevoir ( a little displacement from system "burping"). The coolant color was lighter than I was used to prior to the fix. All in all, it's been +2 months and my car is running smoothly, and the issue with the accelerating seemed to have dissappeared so perhaps the trans oil just needed replacing. My only constructive feedback is to provide more reassurance and explaination, the way that the owner provided when I had the pleasure of meeting him when I came back to have my car reinspected. Before that I had a conversation related to coolant levels, expressed my concerns that too much coolant was added and that aspect of service was missing and I was slightly disappointed, but it did not affect my view of this place as being worthy of 5-stars, especially since it was addressed with the owner later on. More reassurance and explaining would of been a bonus! I am a satisfied customer and came to give you guys your flowers in the form of this review. Thank you to the team at AAMCO who worked on my car, including the very nice man at the front desk who was extemely inviting and kind! I will consider you guys again in the future.

Apparently, this place does not care if you need help with Auto care. I had scheduled my…read moreappointments 1 week in advance to have cv axles and outer tire rods replaced. Both appointments were cancelled sameday by Aamco. I would Not Rely on this company to care for your vehicle. Both appointment dates and their sameday cancellations by Establishment is Unacceptable. This just let's me know they dont care if your left stranded nor that they have highly inconvenienced you. Neil thinks it's acceptable in business to cancel sameday and to place blame on the customer for timeframe. They had all day to replace parts mentioned, Which is a 3 1/2 job. The job would have been completed on Monday, had They kept my appointment. I classify this company as having poor customer service. In business, a company should always be accommodating especially when a customer already scheduled an appointment.

Transmission Super Shop - Cool car

Transmission Super Shop

Found this shop thru Yelp and SUPER happy I did!…read more My car was diagnosed by a local mechanic to have a faulty transmission. I took my car in and the owner Joe was extremely helpful, honest and really knows his stuff! He explained to me the different possible scenarios and involved me in every step of his diagnostic. (I even went with him on his test drive! Super smart dude!) My car ended up not having a transmission issue but rather a engine misfire, caused by a faulty gasket. After being misdiagnosed, any dishonest transmission shop could have taken advantage. Not Joe! I saved a ton of money and he gained a life long customer. Also! He sends you videos of the repair process just like the dealer! Super cool!

When you take your car to a shop for repair, the best you could hope for is that the shop you take…read moreit to treats you fairly, does a good job, and they respect you and your situation. The last thing you hope for, is that they only want to get as much money as possible from you and they have little concern for you as a customer. I wouldn't recommend bringing your car here because my experience was bad, and I'll explain why. I'll also recommend the transmission shop that worked out well for me. I usually start any repair by calling a few shops to see if a shop can do the job and what they estimate the cost to be. When I called Transmission Super Shop, I talked to the Owner Joe. And He didn't remember that I had called for a quote about my coolant system months ago, and he had given me a quote on transmission.. The previous quote I got was $5500. And during this call he was quoting upwards of $6000. It was easily a 15-20minute call, because I was driving from Downtown to Santa Monica and I was parking in Santa Monica when we concluded. Most of the discussion was him explaining to me why it was so expensive. I could tell he was upselling me from the previous time we spoke. And it concluded with me saying, "Well I simply don't have a budget for that amount" A few minutes later, He texted me back, saying that he would do the job for $3500. I will include Screenshots. Already, I would consider prices that are based on the amount of money the customer has, a "Yellow Flag" if not a "Red Flag". But after discussing it with him, it sounded more like he was scaling the type of work to fit my needs. He was willing to do a repair, rather than a replacement. And seeing as how they are a transmission shop that specializes in that type of work, it made sense that they would be willing and able to do that. I said, I would think about it and get back to him. At the time, I was considering selling the car, and My lease was up on my place, so I had to consider the added costs of moving. Tough Choice. I did some budgeting, and Messaged him a few days later and he said that the price was only good for that week. Which, okay, that sets off some warning signals. Why would the price change in a week? Sort of seems like a tactic to pressure the customer into doing the job... And it was. But, I thought about it and later that week I asked him if I could bring it in on the following monday because rent was due and it would work better if I waited till another pay check. He didn't remember our conversation. He asked what it was about, and he said he deleted the conversation. I totally get it, customers come and go and you deal with a lot of people, but it wasn't the best customer service. You would hope that if someone gives you a week to decide, that when you call back later that week they would still remember the ultimatum that forced you to consider rearranging your life to meet. But as it turns out, that's not the kind of customer service and consideration that Transmission Super Shop Offers. It was inconvenient to him. He said it was okay to bring the car in on that date. When the date came, I actually texted to ask if I could bring the car in earlier. Once again He didnt remember. And he said it would take 2 weeks. Which was different than what he had said earlier. So I asked why. He no longer wanted to do the job. But you should read the text messages and get a feel for the customer service and get a sense of his thought processes and mine. Decide for yourself what you think of it. But I'll give you my impression and my takeaway, because that's what a yelp review is. An account of my experience of a business. As a means of helping other people with their big decisions when considering that business. My impression of Joe and the Transmission Super shop.... They want your money, they want you in and out. Don't ask questions. Don't be inconvenient. Don't waste their time. Every conversation was actually a negotiation. RECAP: 1. I called for a quote and he didnt remember the previous quote and raised the price. 2. I didnt have the money, so he made me an offer, but said it was only good for that week. 3. I asked if I could bring it in early, he said no, & it would take 2 weeks 4. I ask why, and he says he doesn't want to do the job anymore. But as a customer, I was always acting on the information from our previous exchange. And each time he didnt remember and changed the situation and seemed annoyed by my questions. In his mind, he's giving me a deal and I should just bring it in no questions asked. He wasn't understanding of my situation. For me it was a months rent trying to save the life of my car, for him it was annoying. When your mechanic is annoyed that you have questions, its a problem.
