My experience with tractors is a push mower, so this was a big step up for me and I was nervous in making this big of a purchase. On my 1st visit I met the owner's son who came out of the shop and showed me a few tractors. After that I had time to research the TYM brand and found so many great reviews online. Still wanted to speak with Scott (owner) though. Set up a meeting with Scott to stop back out there and brought my buddy who had recommended J & J. Scott was incredible! He really knows his product and is absolutely committed to his business and his customers. We sat down and talked and he listened to what I was trying to accomplish. He then gave me a breakdown of what would work best for me and my goals. He also gave me a complete tour of his business. I was really impressed with his shop. If something happens to my tractor I need the confidence it will be taken care of in a timely manner. I was sold. Scott and his son personally delivered my tractor and then Scott spent the next two hours showing me how to operate my new tractor. I have been impressed with my tractor, love my purchase (just purchased another attachment), and would highly recommend Scott and J & J to anyone. Not a single word of English anywhere! J&J was the only place that even knew what it was and had worked on them before. They were in constant contact while working on my tractor. They would advise me what they found and we would figure out the best course of action for maintenance or repairs. When I picked it up, the mechanic came out and walked me through everything personally. He even took a Sharpie and marked each lever & switch so I knew what they all did. I cannot say enough good things about these people. They asked me if I made my living from the tractor and said they would make it a priority if I did. It was dry and both the end and sides were dry and withered. 1 inch rocks were in every 2 x 5 roll with large holes where the bigger rocks had dislodged during the cutting process. The told us couldn't do it at that store and sent us to another. 5 stores later and never once offering to call ahead, even when we called ahead they told us they could, only to arrive and be told they could not an eventually be told we were told we were out of luck. We thought about and decided they are not the only paint store in town and went to Benjamin Moore, it was a whole different vibe walking in, it was friendly and welcoming, we worked with Ken and felt Ken actually wanted to help us accomplish our goal. While this specific store also could not do the match (we need and oil based lacquer), he called around until he found a store that could. When we arrived at the next store, they were also super friendly and welcoming. This was such a different experience. Not only will we use them for our home projects, we will also use them for our small business and suggest them to other businesses we work with.

I'm a repeat customer, and today I was given the wrong brake caliper pin for my vehicle. I called ahead, explained that the incorrect part had put my repair on hold, and was told they were sorry for the mistake. I also explained that I would be arriving right at closing and specifically asked if they could please stay open just a minute or two so they could correct an error they had made. I arrived at 7:58 for an 8:00 closing time and found the store already closed. I then saw employees coming out of the building and asked why they hadn't waited, especially after I had called and explained the situation. The response was essentially, "company policy," followed by another apology. That's what bothers me most. Mistakes happen. Giving me the wrong part is annoying, but understandable. What is much harder to understand is making the mistake, knowing it left a repeat customer stranded in the middle of a repair, agreeing that I was on my way, and then closing early anyway. In a town like Star, customer service and relationships should matter. I wasn't asking anyone to stay half an hour late. I was asking for a couple of minutes so the business could remedy its own mistake. Instead, I wasted a trip, my vehicle is still torn apart, and the repair has to wait another day. An apology is nice, but customer service is really measured by what a business does after something goes wrong. Tonight, that fell very short.

My total bill at O'reily for oil change stuff and wiper blades was almost $170.00. I had to walk away and leave the stuff on the counter. Went to Walmart and paid $128.00 for the exact same products. This is a shameful difference in price and I don't think I'll ever walk into an O'reilly's again.
