My son and I love this place. Everything always taste fresh and delicious. Love there Pepperoni Pizza, Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo and there Mac & Cheese. Nice friendly staff. I really enjoy coming here.

Raise your prices instead of nickle and diming your customers. This is really very tacky. It is posted before you walked in, but since i am dining with friends, i went along anyway, if it was just me i would have not gone in. This is a big turn off right away. On the plus side at least they let you know before you enter. As a business you should factor in the rising cost of things, cost of goods sold, fuel... whatever. Increase your price if you want, i would rather pay a higher price because i know you have to make money and everything else is expensive. Food is ok, tastes like cafeteria pizza nothing special. The ambiance looks like a very old diner. It's not worth it and adding surcharges is very tacky. I will never support a business that nickle and dime their customer.

As you can see, I never leave bad reviews. But I was absolutely livid after being ripped off by D'Amore's after spending $60 on delivery last night. I was too tired and disappointed to deal with them. So here I am. We ordered a medium ($25) specialty meatlovers pizza, garlic knots, and a bowl of minestrone soup. The pizza was thin crust that tasted like cardboard when I was expecting something resembling Neapolitan or actual Italian pizza. I grew up on very thin, cracker-like pizza. Even that would've been fine. This was not. Some toppings like the ham were loosely tossed on top and not actually baked into the pizza. The pizza arrived cold, and the sausage and pepperoni were very chewy. The sauce had congealed like it had sat for a while. We deemed it inedible after one slice each. The minestrone was an embarrassment for any Italian, including my husband, who gave up on it. Was it vegetable soup? It barely resembled any minestrone either of us have ever had. Did I mention my Italian in-laws? The bread knots were great, that is, the ones that weren't burnt to a crisp (4 were). I thought maybe they'd still taste okay. They did not. It was hard to understand how they were made so unevenly. Two stars because the other knots were good and the delivery driver was nice and arrived early. Otherwise, one. Extremely disappointed and sad.

Our first visit here! I'm SO in love with their Margherita Pizza, the FLAVOR and the thin crispy crust, something about it.. we also ordered good ol' spaghetti w/meatballs and Italian salads (their creamy dressing is INCREDIBLE)! The place is VERY clean with a nice patio, service was awesome!

We ordered the thick crust pizza for take out. What I think is really great is that when you arrive, they throw the pizza back in the oven to finish cooking. Then you really get it hot and fresh! There is a sign at the host station that tells you that they cook your pizza to about 80% done and then throw it back in the oven when you arrive to finish it off. The downside to this is that you'll never just walk in and pick up your pizza, but the best part is that it will always be hot and fresh. We liked the thick crust Sicilian style pizza. It works well with their pizzas that have a lot of meat toppings because it holds up well.

If your looking for an Italian restaurant with a great variety of authentic plates, look no further. I am a sucker for pasta & I always love it here. I wanted to start my meal with a Caprese Salad which Polly said they didn't have in the smaller appetizer portion. Well no worries, nothing I can do about that. Just a few minutes later she walks back & says they can make it. It's small gestures like this that attract me to return to a business. Clean, great food, awesome staff, I cannot think of one negative thing about this restaurant!

When I lived in the area 9+ years ago, my friend and I were regulars for lunch. We always got 1 or 2 slices with a salad. Supposedly their pizza is made with water flown in from either Boston or New York (cant remember which) to give it that authentic taste. It is different than most other pizzas around and I think it is good but not jaw dropping. What I love the most is their Salad and the dressing they serve with it. I'm not sure what it is, but it tastes like a mix of Italian and Ceasar. I could bathe in it! You also get a garlic knot which is very delightful, dipped in dressing. I was visiting this weekend and my friend and I stopped in around 1:45. There was one other party there and it was fairly quiet inside. We were greeted immediately, sat at a booth, and our server said hello the second we sat down. The slightly weird thing is he did it all in spanish and even though I answered in English, he continued to speak spanish... not a complaint, just a little odd. Anywho, he took our order and the host served us the rest of the meal. I ended up with a small antipasto salad. Never had it before but the picture sold me. It was so good, exactly what I imagined and hit the craving I had for their dressing without being a plain ceasar. My one qualm today, my friend ordered minestrone. The broth of it looked at tasted like water, and there was no pasta in it, just vegetables. She had a couple bites but didn't eat it because it wasn't good and the server (remember it was the host now) didn't notice and inquire. Overall, good experience and good food.

When I opened the door to what I thought was the restaurant, I wasn't sure until I looked around inside. Now that I found the place, on to the food! Combo Sandwich Best of both worlds, Italian sausage topped with Italian beef. I added hot peppers to mine and this was one amazing sandwich! The flavor from the sausage and the beef combined, and individually, was awesome. I loved every bite of it and can't say enough about the flavors. The bread was hearty enough to hold it all, yet still soft and chewy. I really liked that. Chili Cheese Fries When these arrived at my table, they weren't presented how I was expecting them. I'm used to chili cheese fries served with the chili and cheese on top of the fries. No utensils were served with these, so I ate them as I thought they were intended...as a dipping dish... The fries.. well, I wouldn't go out of my way to get them.. They were served somewhat lukewarm, borderline cold. Shoestring fries that were very limp and not crisp. Now, to the best part of this item. The chili. The chili tasted outstanding! I really loved the flavor and it had a nice meaty consistency. The cheese sauce was unique and was really good as well. This wasn't your typical nacho cheese sauce. It had a different, slightly elevated, flavor profile that I couldn't place. Overall, some really good food here sans the fries. Great beef, sausage and chili. I would definitely come back for some more of the deliciousness!

That was a HH the likes of which will never be seen again. But I digress...TODAY is today! Great, private parking lot with easy in/out. We came in for a lovely dinner and got just that. Seated immediately and in a comfy booth along the wall, perfect for people watching. SO. MANY. PEOPLE! I wasn't expecting a restaurant to be so full on a Tuesday night, but when you're as good as Ottavio's you develop a loyal following of locals who enjoy their time here. Many celebrations were obviously being had in just our little portion of the restaurant. There are multiple rooms, accommodating various sized parties, and the hot, delicious Italian faire just kept coming. Fresh, warm bread was delivered with our water and we dove into that doughy deliciousness strait away. Hubs went with a 50/50 plate of spaghetti and cheese ravioli with a meat sauce and added meatballs. I snuck a bite of the meatballs and they were very good, as was the sauce. I opted for the Tortellini Silvana, which was described as cheese tortellini w/sauteed chicken, fresh spinach, basil and sun dried tomato cream sauce. It was FABulous! Light and delicate sauce with full flavor. A generous portion, I took about 1/2 home! Our entrees each came with a choice of soup or salad. Hubs chose Italian Wedding and I went with Minestrone. (Side note: I knew well and good I would be having 2 soups, so I wanted to try both. ;-D) Both were made from scratch and delicious! I was impressed with how fluid the staff worked along side one another. Drinks then food then boxing and the check and - voila! - table turned and on to the next group, all while maintaining a welcoming and pleasurable attitude and friendly service. We are sure to have another meal here, next time we're craving old school Italian, homemade, handed down family recipes in Camarillo. Cheers! "CC"

My main complaint is that the meats are not imported, which is something I expect from an Italian deli. The potato salad tasted like something you'd get already prepared at the grocery store. I ate a couple of bites of the potato salad and less than 1/4 of the sandwich. They were not tasty and resulted in a migraine. The customer service also left something to be desired. I ordered online and when I arrived to pick up my food, the man behind the counter was turned away, bent over his phone. He never looked up or turned around. I was eventually met by a young woman who came out of the back and handed me my bag of food, which was sitting right there. She was friendly and pointed out where I could find utensils. I want to emphasize that nowhere was it advertised that the meats were imported or uncured, so it was my error for expecting a higher quality. I think customers should be aware so they don't make the same mistake that I did. I won't go here again, but it might be okay for you. Fortunately, there are other delis in the area that offer delicious sandwiches that use imported and uncured meats.
