I would not recommend this salon to my family and friends. While most of the stylist are very kind and treat you well, the outcomes of the hair processing I went through are horrendous. I have been to this salon three times now, and the first time was great. I went back to get my roots retouched, I left with a mess of hair, and was in no way happy with it. My family and peers noticed the bad job immediately. I went back a couple days later, and received and even worse job. They did give me my money back but in no way, is my hair something i'd want to be seen in public with. read more

I just want to say...I FINALLY found a stylist in Colorado that I love. I moved here from New York City and I've been looking all over Denver to find a hairdresser that does a Long-Bob and perfectly blends brunette highlights. MALLORY is the best stylist in Denver! On my first appointment, she cut my hair EXACTLY the way I wanted it (I went through 3 other stylist before I met Mallory), and then she got rid of the horrid blonde streaks in my hair. The overall color came out a little dark, but to make up for it, she got me in to correct the color. She did a FULL FOIL FOR FREE and added a tint to create the PERFECT color. Went there after purchasing a groupon. Similarly to other reviews they charged me an extra $50 on top of my groupon, even after I called to make sure the groupon would cover the specifics on my appointment. The experience as fine, and the assistant was very very nice and willing to learn, however my hair turned out to be not at all what I had asked for, even after showing a picture. My new highlights don't reach my roots by a whole inch, and now I have to go to my first day of work with purple tinted badly highlighted hair. read more

I was hoping my issue could be resolved with the salon, but since they won't return my calls, I feel it's important to warn others. I went to Robin at D'Ametri's for a consultation for a color and cut to prepare for my wedding. She pointed to a very large framed picture of her board certification as a colorist and told me if I didn't go with someone with her experience, that my hair would be probably be ruined. I decided to give her a try. I asked for a chestnut color - basically adding some red and dark blonde to my hair. I asked for a layered cut to bring out my curly waves. What I got was very light blonde that started two inches down from my roots. The cut looked like a mushroom after first wash at home. I unhappily paid $300 + dollars for this cut and color I didn't ask for. So a few days later, I went back for a fix. Robin agreed I didn't get the cut and color I asked for, but then when she was done "fixing", I still didn't have the red in my hair I had asked for and the cut was slightly less mushroom looking. I did tell her that it didn't have the red tones I wanted and she said "well, I didn't want to do that because your hair already has some red in it". Um, maybe in bright light if you look at it really closely.... But if I'm paying $ and asking for red/chestnut color, then that's what I expect. 2 weeks later, getting ready for my wedding in another state, my hair was destroyed on the ends from all the coloring, so it basically was just frizz. I had to get it cut and colored again at the destination wedding and it cost me a lot more $. After the wedding, I was forced to cut off my long hair because of all the damage. I called and asked to speak with a manager and was told I would be called back. Robin left me a message with a number to call, but when I called it, it was a recording saying the number wouldn't accept outside calls! I called the salon 3 more times and each time was told the manager was "at lunch" or "out" and would call me back. I never got a call back. I wanted a refund and apology for making my wedding so stressful, but got ignored. So, buyer, beware!! read more

I came to this salon a couple years ago and had a really good experience with Tanya. I was looking to get my hair done again and saw that the salon was offering deals on groupon so I thought I would try it out again. However my recent experience was absolutely terrible. I booked my appointment for a full highlight, haircut, and conditioning treatment. I showed the stylist pictures of how I wanted my hair to look and She was very resistant to give me what I wanted. I told her I would pay any extra costs to ensure my hair turned out correctly. This stylist was extremely rude, cold, and condescending . She then informed me that she only had 15 minutes to do my hair before her next appointment and sent me away. I drove 30 minutes to get the salon, had to take off work, and waited 2 weeks for this appointment and I left with nothing. The receptionist rebooked my appointment once again for two weeks out. Later I received a message that this appointment was also booked incorrectly and would have to be pushed back once again. Absolutely terrible, worst experience with a salon ever! read more

Ame did an excellent consultation. The other staff that assisted with my services were professional. Ame did a great job on my cut and dry. She also started consulting with me on my wedding hair services. I really appreciate her knowledge and expertise. The only drawback at all was that I waited about 30 minutes for my appointment to get underway. That's just too long. read more

I was having a serious scalp issue. My scalp was very dry and flakey causing me to be very self conscious and uncomfortable. I have never been to a real salon before, I've only had a friend do my hair in her kitchen or great clips hair cuts. I have been doing my own color for a while as well with vibrant purple. My scalp condition was addressed with the help and expertise of the salon owner Ame very sensitively and professionally. Ame did a scalp analysis and broke down for me what is causing my dryness and buildup. I was also given a few options for products to use in the future to keep my scalp healthy. We did a scalp detox treatment followed by a relaxing scalp massage. Jami then applied color and after that she cut my hair and blow dried it out. I am blown away with my new hair. Not only has my scalp issue been completely resolved, but my hair looks gorgeous. The color is perfect and the cut is amazing! My confidence has increased a ton since my service! I recently received services from this salon by Ame, the owner. As others have said it is difficult to get an appointment as they do not answer the phone. After several days, I did eventually get an appointment for haircut, color and botanical treatment. My haircut was fine, but the color job I received was horrible. It was unevenly applied, red in spots and ashy in others. There were 4 people who worked on my hair (that was weird and uncomfortable, two dried my hair at the same time, pulling my head in different directions) and not one of them addressed my color or offered to fix it. When I pointed it out to Ame, she took no responsibility and suggested I come back for highlights. I left near tears and have had to have my hair colored by someone else as I did not want to go back. read more

I had a similar experience as two others that got a groupon. It is a bait and switch. I called and specifically asked before purchasing the service if I was going to get all over color and was told yes. When I got their, they said that was not what I would get and blamed it on the receptionist - saying she was new. They wanted another $60 from me. Apparently all over color at this salon means a root touch (not what I paid for). The manager was rude about it too. Said I could try to get my money back from groupon saying she had other customers do that - Basically admitting this is common - this misrepresentation. : / Well, against my better judgement I decided to go with the root touch up because I had wasted the day waiting for this appt. and she said they would give me a glaze and assured me they could match the color. In the salon, the color was fine (darker than I wanted). However, when I got home, not only did I notice that they had dyed my skin pretty overtly, but I could still see my natural color and the growth line! It seems they are better at coloring skin than hair! My color is lifeless too - no glaze. No special conditioner as advertised either. The girl that I had was very nice, but even after scrubbing my skin, the dye is still there. I even told them I had sensitive skin! Furthermore, The hair cut was nothing special, not impressive. I have been going exclusively to Aveda salons for the past few years... I had never stayed at any particular one for various reasons, the most common being that most of the employees are snobby. But I have to say that D'Ametri's is AWESOME!!!! Every one of the staff was so nice, and polite! I loved the upbeat and fun atmosphere! All of the employees were having a great time, and we were all having a huge conversation about so many topics, and when I say all, I mean the whole salon was chiming in on the same topics! It was such a fun experience! And one that I was pleasantly surprised to have... I was looking at reviews on Yelp, and when I ran across D'Ametri's I was so happy to see nothing but positive reviews! This place really is great, and I look forward making D'Ametri's my exclusive go to place for hair color! I also loved how they got the perfect color that I always want! I've been to so many places where they really don't listen to what YOU WANT, and they go ahead and do what they want to your hair... Bummed to be giving a poor review, but based on my experience, I think it's important for the salon to get the feedback. I have had one previous appointment at D'Ametri's and it was very positive - Renee, my stylist, was fantastic. This time, I called to see about a last minute appointment. I was thrilled to learn one was available, so moved around some meetings and jumped in the car. I arrived 5 min before my scheduled time. I sat for 15 minutes (no big deal) and then was told that my stylist was not at the salon and was 30 minutes away. As a working mother with 2 small kids, I don't have the luxury of waiting an extra 40+ minutes to get my hair done. It is hard enough to fit in the time (hence, the last minute call). If the stylist wasn't there when I called, or wasn't available at the appt time, then I would have certainly understood, but to tell me the spot's available, let me waste my time in driving and sitting, and then inform me of the actual time available is just not something I have the luxury of time to do. read more

I downloaded the app just to write this review, I'm that devastated. I went in yesterday for some amazing golden highlights, I had pictures. I have been going to my original salon for years, but only because he was a good friend. But after years I never had the hair I wanted, so I decided to go somewhere else. I came across this salon online after months of research, they had great reviews. Yesterday I went in and I told her exactly what I wanted and she seemed confident. Well, 3 hours later my ENTIRE head was this blonde with a tint of orange. I was so upset. I ended up paying $160+$20 tip. The stylist was super nice, but Im hesitant to think she was doing hair for over 13 years, I could have got this my self with messing up box dye. I won't be back. I needed to get my hair done and don't have much money being a single mother working part time and going to school so i bought a groupon. D'Ametri's happens to be by my house which is why i bought the groupon there and i am SO glad i did. First of all, the service was awesome...right down to the receptionist. She shook my hand and introduced herself to me which i though was different and then asked me if i wanted anything to drink. I only wait about 3 minutes until ROBIN came out, And here is where my review gets good. Robin was awesome. When icalled and made my appt. i asked for someone experienced. (Not that i have anything against anyone training but to be honest i had no idea what i wanted and need someone to tell me..HAHA) And Robin did just that. I told her the basics and she guided me through and together we created a color i am so happy with. She was very friendly and the assistant working with her was awesome also. She even gave me a hand massage!! I have never had that before. And i got a head massage when Robin was done rinsing my hair. I have been to a lot of places and still never know how to explain what i want. Most of the time i get a stylist that is irritated that i don't know what i want and she rushes through explaining it to me. Not this time. Robin was very patient. I knew i was going to have to pay extra when i went in there but it really wasn't as much as i thought. Honestly, my hair care products were more than the extra fee for the services. Someone mentioned going in without a groupon and you would get more respect but i didn't see any difference. I will definitely be back. read more

I've been going to see the owner of this salon for almost a year. The last two appointments I was kept waiting in the lobby for 20 minutes past my appointment time. On my last appointment for a cut and highlight the stylist didn't take me back to her station for 20 minutes. Once there she began the highlight process. When that was completed, her assistant pulled out my foils and shampooed me with lukewarm water as they were having problems with something or other. Well....two hours after my appointment time I'm still sitting in the chair with a wet towel on my head. I got so frustrated that I pulled the towel off my head and walked to the receptionist to pay. My stylist approached me not with an "I'm so sorry, I got behind but I'll be with you in 2 minutes. Would you mind staying?" No her comment was "do you want me to put some detangler on that?" It's not the keeping me waiting that really irks me, it's not a word of apology either as I was standing there or a polite phone call later - takes so little for great customer service.
