Here is the lay of the land: Check in at the little red table in the center of the outdoor courtyard if you want "full service". - which means eating and drinking at a table with wait staff. It is not seat yourself at the outdoor tables, like we originally thought. There is a nice sized bar indoors and seating at the bar is first come first served. We ordered several of the small plate "snacks" and I can tell you that the hummus is not to be missed. It is served with (homemade?) tortilla chips that are absolutely addictive. They have lots of choices for wine, beer, and cocktails. Towards the back entrance of the property, there is a drink truck where you can also order "walkaway" food and drinks. Not entirely sure where you sit with the food/drinks you order, as most of the seating seemed reserved for full service. The bartenders are still being trained and brought up to speed, so sometimes they don't have the answer to my questions regarding the menu and cocktails, or the drink sizes are inconsistent. I'd be bummed if this continues a few months down the line. I've not ordered any food but the menu looks solid. My friend raved about the chicken wings. I'd love to see some bar food like cheese sticks or mini tacos, though. Sometimes you just want something greasy to absorb the booze. This is a comfortable place with seating for two up to twenty. Since I hail from this city, and my boyfriend love Craft beers, we decided to come to Brew Microbrewery. I had called ahead a couple days before to book a tour, and as we walked in, we were promptly greeted, and since I had called ahead, it was known that we were the ones for the tour. My boyfriend is from London, so he was excited to tour Windsor and get a taste of what this city has to offer. The brewery itself was small an intimate and when explaining the brewing process to get that perfect craft beer, the passion and excitement, how they started out and learned from the brewing masters. It was exciting to learn how it was done and how they make each of their different beers to extract the flavours from the hops. I am not a beer drinker myself, but I did try one of their beer cocktails, the Bananaweizen with the Canadian Maple Brew. It was delicious. My boyfriend had the flight with Proper Lager, Canadian Maple, and the Wayne Dark Ale. He liked them all. Safe to say we got some to go. Thank you so much for the tour and the delicious beer! Next time we're going to try their food menu. They incorporate their beer into each of the food items to give it that delicious kick. I have always loved local, and I am happy that local breweries are popping up just about everywhere, not only is that good for the economy, but it's a wonderful experience to have a great tasting beer made in your hometown where you're proud you came from.
