They had plenty of umbrella covered tables to keep you out of the sun. The only negative: you order with toast tab, and there's no way to customize anything. My husband has food allergies, so it knocked out a bunch of options. We settled on nachos, and they wound up being really tasty. We did add a little salt, but overall very good and filling. (The chorizo and avocado were a little extra.) My husband went up to the bar to get some samples for us to try, and we both chose the Pocket Calculator. It was rich, sweet, and very tasty. The waitress brought food and drinks out quickly when they were ready. This is a great place to stop, especially if you are allergy-free!

The bartender was friendly and came to take our order. Many different styles of beers from pilsners to stouts listed on a chalkboard. All $3! Tasters are even less. We tried an IPA and a saison. Neither knocked my socks off, but very good for $3. There are maybe eight bar seats and around five 2-4 top tables inside. It's intimate, but light and bright with large windows and open doors. Incase she was also the bouncer. All kidding aside we had a great time and the three of enjoyed the ambiance of the brewery and the Michigan sunny warm day. Main factor that pushes down my stars was the wait for food. We placed our order around 7:45pm, and then it was about 45min before one of our orders came out just around 8:30pm. It took another 15min for the second person's food to come out. We were really hungry at that point so we ended up just splitting the first dish so we could dig in right away, and then split the second dish when that one came out as well. If we weren't able to share, it would've made for an awkward wait. It also didn't seem that busy, with very few food orders seeming to come out of the kitchen. Would come back for beers/drinks only. Would likely skip if I were looking for food! I will say the the burger and dirty fries that we got were good/tasty though.

They have food, but I've only had a burger there once and honestly I can't remember much about it. But obviously the big draw here is their beer. They always have a good selection and something I enjoy. I think any beer lover can find something they will like. One of the only things I can say is a little negative is the restroom. Nowhere to put your bag when you are the sink (and no paper towel to put down to keep said bag out of the sink water that splashes up), and you're right in front of a stall when drying your hands. Oh and the soap is only one the one side of the counter. It's all just very awkward. If they could get things a little more inline in there, I'd give them 6 out of 5 stars.

As for an appetizer we ordered these Pretzel sticks which were soft and chewy and then the cheese that came with it was delicious. The burger I had was called "Fire Haven" it had onions, tomato and jalapeños on it with 2 hamburger patties, it had lettuce but I asked for no lettuce since we have this parasite going around the U.S. right now, The burger was quite tasty and very fulfilling, the jalapeño had a nice crunch to it and the meat was seasoned very well. I also ordered a German Dunkel beer which I didn't really care for, I thought I would like it cause I love dark beers but I guess I don't like German dark beers. Everything here was so good.
