However the items are excellent quality and there are brand names too. It's my reliable go-to when shopping for my niece n nephew or any baby shower for that matter. P.s. Finally, the biggest selection of fitteds I saw in my time in Montreal. And all of this in sizes too. Staff was pretty helpful as well - we were looking for a Baby G and after not finding what we were after, one of the guys told us about other watch shops on Ste.-Catherine that would have more Baby Gs. He was right because my friend did end up buying a perfect G-Shock. All in all, good staff and huge selection of gear from head to toe. Whether true or not, they have certainly stuck to their corners and MEC remains a one stop shop for all kinds of specific outdoor gear at an always fair price. Plus, I love the people who work here. Gear nerds with none of the gear snobbery, totally happy to help you with whatever level you're at. In these Covid times, I took advantage of their website to order some baby outdoor gear (I am that mama, and I'm ok with it.) The website doesn't have everything you can find in store, or a ton of options in any category, but if you spend hours looking at life jackets online like I did, you'll come back here when you realize they have the only one you need.

This one is Montreal's and deservedly so as it covers over 30,000 square feet in the city's atmospheric Little Italy neighborhood. Quite easily, Jamie W and I took the 55 city bus to get here and were immediately taken by the abundant tables of fresh produce sourced directly from local regional farms (Photo 8). However, fruits and vegetables are far from the only goods sold here. There are also butchers, fishmongers, artisanal cheese shops, bakeries, spice merchants, and maple goods purveyors. Since we already filled up on bagels on the way over, we really didn't take advantage of the variety of dining options and open-air food stalls.
