I would warn anyone going to Cypress Physician Association under the care of Dr. Jessica Anderson, it is an endangerment to your life. Upon moving here from Michigan around four years ago, I ventured to physicians in the area in which I lived. I came across Cypress physicians Association, and Dr. Jessica Anderson via my insurance. I informed her of all my medical issues, and provided documentation. I also informed her that I was currently being followed by a Michigan Physician due to some lung issues. Specifically, some nodules on my lungs that my doctor was following. I requested a CT scan and I was referred to a physician that ordered the scan. Hence, surprisingly, the nodules were no longer present. She never indicated any additional tests were needed. Hence, as my internal medicine physician I scheduled my yearly appointment with her and also presented to her as needed. I am a 63 year old woman with a few health issues. However, I am proactive and stay on top of things. However, when scheduling my 2023 annual exam, I learned that my last annual exam was in 2021. Hence, not taking the responsibility away from my self, I expressed my surprise that I was not informed that I was missing this exam, after various visits I had with her in the last year. I went on to speak to Dr. Anderson regarding this issue. Her nurse indicated that I would not be able to speak with her but I can leave a message for her. My message for Dr. Anderson's nurse to ask her was - Why did they not send out reminders like other Physicians? After a few days the nurse called me back and she said per Dr. Anderson "WE HAVE TOO MANY PATIENTS TO SEND OUT REMINDERS! THAT IS THE PATIENT'S RESPONSIBILITY". I knew then, this was not the type of Physician I wanted, and I immediately informed her that I would no longer be a patient. Although, I'm sure, it made her no difference. Now, I'm at practice where they are competent, professional, patient, and most of all compassionate. Thus far, I have a CT scan scheduled on my lungs, and a long past due Colonoscopy scheduled. I had to call my Doctor for a concern I had, and she, my Doctor, actually called me back. I feel so relieved, no matter the outcome of my tests, that I'm in good hands. read more

I was surprised to see negative reviews here. Although I suppose in 2022, patience with service seems in short supply everywhere. I have always had a positive experience here. Sometimes there is a wait but once I'm in I feel I have their full attention. Whether seeing Dr Davis or my PA Melinda Guerry I have always felt genuine concern and care for me. There is most definitely a reason for the negative reviews. I would use caution with this office. My parents have seen Dr Davis and Melinda for 20 years plus. My mother has been critically ill the last 2 years and has had 3 acute hospital admissions of a week or longer the last 6 mos. She went home with a foley, IV antibiotics for sepsis/Ecoli and is on 24 hour supplemental oxygen. She is also a home dialysis patient. I inquired about making a post hosp Telehealth visit in order to get her certification for homebmound status to ensure she could get home health nursing services to help remove the midline IV catheter and foley in a week. The office states it's their "policy" for in person visits not Telehealth. This facility knows my mother and all her comorbidities and chose "policy" over individualized care in her case. Shameful. And dangerous!!! Bringing someone in who cannot walk in 40 degree weather following a prolonged hospital stay - with sepsis, a foley, 24 hour oxygen, a midline IV, who has CKD, DM and a weakened immune system in for a quick visit during flu and cold season is incredibly dangerous. I will ensure to review this practice on every Google, Yelp, FB form I can find. Be very cautious about bringing your loved one here. read more

Made an appointment to see Jessica Anderson. She was more than 30 minutes late to the appointment. Rush through the appointment and didn't do a full medical history for a new patient and did not do an examination. During the appointment she excused herself as she had to take her child to an orthopedic doctor for a broken bone. Left me very unhappy. I switched to a new doctor. Referrals that were requested during the initial appointment failed to happen until I complained to Blue Shield of TX. And even then I was given referrals to doctors not seeing new patients, or doctors who didn't handle my specific conditions. read more

I have been a patient for many years and decided to give an updated review. The Drs and PA's continue to be very attentive and show a genuine concern for my health. I personally don't mind waiting just a little bit because when it's your turn- it's your turn and you have their full attention. There is never a rush, all my concerns are addressed and they have gone over and above in trying to obtain referrals and medication authorizations for me that aren't part of the normal formulary. read more

Although I trusted her recommendations, I was concerned about my privacy because Dr. Anderson has a very loud voice that carries throughout the office. Follow up appointments were difficult to get and I would be seen by other staff for urgent matters. She seems to be understaffed because referrals were difficult/complicated to get. I have been going here for years. As long as I saw an MD everything was fine. I have seen two PA's and each time I have Had a bad experience. The last incident, I went for my annual physical at which time all of my medicines are usually refilled for the entire year. This time I saw P A who did not reorder any of my medication. It took from June to October to get my medications ordered and then she refused to give me any refills. I called the office repeatedly, my pharmacy sent several request to get my medicine refilled. And after several request from the pharmacy it was denied. I called the office and got no where. Finally the PA had a medical assistant call me to inform that she would only order enough for 90 days and I would have to come in for an office visit to any medicine refilled. This is a money making scheme. For years under two different MD's I only had to come once a year and my medicine was refilled for a ninety day prescription with 3 refills which took me to my next annual visit. I have no major medical issues that warrant me to see a doctor every three months. This a money making scheme that I have had unpleasant experience of being involved in. My medicine is being held hostage so she can make money off me. Rest assured I will find another doctor. read more

When you call the main number, you are advised to go to their website to schedule non emergency appointments- so I did. Mind you, there's no way you can actually leave a comment stating days or dates that are interested in coming in. This practice conveniently allows you to make an appointment online. However, their follow up emails look like spam-- no email signature, just a text email asking you to send them your insurance information. I was seen by a nurse promptly for my 2:30 appointment. She went through taking my information very swiftly, too swiftly. Then she left me in the waiting room and said the doctor would be in shortly. About 20 minutes later she said the doctor was on her way soon. AN HOUR LATER, the doctor walks in for my fifteen minute check up. I nearly left without the appointment because it was so unprofessional. I understand that doctors are busy people, but an update that they were running so behind would have been appreciated. Especially since the practice didn't seem so busy (I was the only one in the waiting room!). I honestly felt like they had forgotten me. Dr Anderson was apologetic and kind, but really the situation was ridiculous. When I went to leave, the receptionist ignored me for several minutes (while I was in clear sight) and chatted with a nurse. Again, the waiting room was empty. Could not be more appreciative of Dr. Anderson and her associates! I met her after she became my father's Doctor. He RAVED about her, so I soon checked her out and ended up bringing my daughter to her as well. She always gives me her honest opinion and when my father's condition became fatal, she made me feel like I hadn't lost my complete sanity!!! I have been going there for over 13 years. They are always 20-30 minutes late, but if you are 15 minutes late du to traffic or anything else they won't see you. They also don't see you if you are sick. I have been going thru chemo, even with that, if I catch something or have a sinus infection, they won't get me in. Yet they want me to come in every 3 months. They change your appointment if some social obligation comes up for them. I think it is time to go elsewhere. read more

This practice (I've seen doctors at two locations-had at least 15 appointments over 2 years) is ALWAYS at least 45 minutes behind. They want to run unnecessary tests 'just to make sure' to rack up your bill to insurance and get more money. If you go you will get a sales pitch on vitamins and probiotics which of course they sell in office. Doctors don't listen. I needed a referral and specifically stated that I wanted a referral to a certain doctor/practice. The first referral was wrong. Request referral again and STILL don't listen to me and give referral to a different doctor/practice than I requested. Scheduling is terrible. If you're the only caller it will still take 15 minutes before you can get off hold and talk to someone. Thank goodness I've got new insurance because I can now go elsewhere. Doctors only care about the $ at this practice. They don't give a hoot about you or your children (yeah, they see kids too...more $). read more

I'm not at all impress with these doctors...They're pushing vitamins seems to be the best thing they have going... After 2 years of ups and downs ( take this pill, no take this pill) with my Type 2 diabetes; the late straw broke me down... They give me a synthetic fish oil, that went cross on me, ended up with a high triglycerides off the chain... after the PA looked at the labs she asked me what was I doing? I told her I was taking the meds she prescribed (Vescepa)... she said to stop taking it...then she said, I don't know what to do for you! I thinks it's your pancreas! I was like mmm wasn't she suppose to say..."let me get you a specialists in this area". No, she said " here go and take this lab test..." I asked, "How can I control my Type 2 diabetes?" "I also,asked shouldn't I buy a meter to log my numbers to see what my A1C is?" She brittle handed me a booklet after 2 years, and a diet sheet, and stated "Let see if you can kept up with that!"... after that she wanted me to go take another Lab test... I said forget you, I'm going see another PCP... at that moment... I said, to myself, I should go see a specialist...one for my diabetes ( Thyroid and Endocrine Specialists), and a Gastroenterologist specialist. I have been going to Cypress for years, Once I had double Pneumonia: Dr. Davis, sent me home with a prescription... that same night went to Emergency room, stayed in the hospital for seven days!!! Nerve, once seen Dr. Davis... I should have changed PCP at that time... People don't let a PCP work on you longer than 3 months... They are suppose to refer you to a specialist, no try to guess how to fix you; are just make you buy vitamins... and prescribe pills that's not the best med's for you; are ordering Lab test just to see something they don't have clue how to treat... watch out for the vitamin pusher... they make you pay for the @$15.00- $20.00 dollars a bottle... I know they're making some type of profit... I watch all three doctors one time, and they did not let a patients get out of that office with buying those AlloAlts Vitamins. They all stood but, and watch every single one of buy two bottles each. Sometimes they didn't ask if we wanted to buy... they put them up it the front deck, to pay for with our deductible... which make a doctors visit $25.00+$30.00 for those so all vitamins... read more

They run as many tests as the insurance company allows whether you need them or not. Very lax on doing the administrative stuff like clearing tests and procedures with the insurance company when required. read more

Absolutely HORRIBLE service. Hold time is 20-30 minutes when I call. Leave a message, and they don't return the call. Routine prescription refills are a nightmare. On two different occasions they failed to respond to a routine pharmacy request for a refill for two days. When I found out it was Saturday Morning. The after hours service says doctors wont respond on weekends to a prescription issue until Monday. Absolutely terrible customer service from the front desk staff!! The staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. I ended up at the ER 10 days after my visit due to them prescribing me incorrect medicine. After being informed I could not perform physical activity for 6 weeks, I gave them three weeks to provide me with a doctor's note for the time it was needed. Four days before it was due, they tried telling me it wasn't provided on time, then told me I had to spend more money and come in for a check up. Dr Stringfellow is very nice and spends plenty of time with you. The office staff is horrible. I have now been waiting 14 days for someone to get off their tail and send the insurance company the information they need before I can have the prescription Dr Stringfellow prescribed covered. This is not the first delay I have experienced in regards to medications. I finally went in person to find out the problem and got a don't give a damn attitude from the office girl..
