But Dr. Gregory Mark Mcwilliams is exactly what I was looking for in a doctor. Although I had a virtual visit, he was still a virtually professional and friendly doctor at the same time. I repeatedly heard from him that it was so encouraging to reach out to him in 10 days or reach out to me for more questions. I have never heard a doctor tell me to come to them. They always refer you to their assistants or secretaries. Again this was virtual, so I didn't get the full treatment, but I will say this Dr. McWilliams is my now new PCP and is worth visiting.

During that time I endured high levels of stress, and dealt with an incident that left me with some PTSD and health issues, of which my job didn't really give two craps about. The past few years have been really rough on me, and it's been hard to get answers for what was going on. To be honest, it put me in a bit of a funk. I have to admit the waiting room in this office kind of gives me a bit of anxiety. There are a lot of older people sitting around gossiping, complaining... people answer their phones, eat snacks and chew loudly... I was sweating in there during my first visit, but Dr. Kangadis is great. He and his office staff helped me get great care (I even forgive the huge bruise I got after bloodwork, haha), get sent out for tests, and listened to what was going on. It's really hard to find that. He seems to be very busy (understandable!), but still makes you feel like you are being listened to, and cared about. We've seen a few different doctors (sometimes we aren't able to see his PCP) and everyone is very knowledge, cordial and kind. The nurses are all great and attempt to calm my son down who get a a bit nervous as he's only 2.5 (he started seeing his doctor at 18 months when we moved to NYC). At times during afternoon visits when they're busier the wait time can be a little long but that's fine. We are patient and things work out.

Multiple text reminders, QR codes, and check in with various staff later, you will still wait another hour to be seen. This place is cramped and chaotic. Patients will watch videos with no headphones and staff will not say anything. They no longer have a kiosk to check in. You need to scan 2 QR codes to check in and complete paperwork. Much of the same is requested via text before the appointment too. I paid my co pay through that process and at check in was told I have a co-pay due. So strange. After vitals, they send you downstairs to check in again and wait to be seen. Chairs are lined down the hall set right in front of restrooms and doctor offices. Doesn't feel like much privacy. Be prepared and bring a pair of headphones to drown out all the noise. Hard to believe you're in a doctor's office waiting room downstairs sometimes. The room and furniture is outdated. Doctors don't seem to have assistants as they prepare the rooms themselves after each patient leaves. Expect to wait over an hour after your appointment time to be seen. The doctor was nice but was behind schedule so was constantly interrupted with a knock as the next patient was ready.
