I have responsibility for my health too, it's a partnership. She is understanding, compassionate, extremely knowledgeable, and always willing to educate me on valuable information to improve my health and (wait for it), WITHOUT a condesending tone. Dr. Rieger is respectful, professional, and reliable. I always receive a personal call from Dr. Rieger within a couple of days of my appointment to discuss the results of any tests. Unfortunately I didn't see this doctor embody either of these. She came in like a storm and just went through my chart on the computer, not really having the patience or compassion that I was seeking. I don't think I finished a sentence the entire visit. The women's center was a great concept 5-6 years ago, when it first opened, unfortunately the entire place now looks super dated and run down in such a short period, all of the 4 elevators didn't work for most of the morning and they're located on the 12th floor, the receptionists ate their lunches at the check in desk and everyone just seems a bit miserable. I'd suggest trying any of the many other doctors available in this city. Also- I went to a ENT specialist a few weeks prior, also at Weil Cornell, and was sent 2 different emails asking about "my experience" I've strangely received none about this visit with Dr Rieger- I'm super curious on why that is. Best of luck to those looking for a pcp as I will be as well.

Dr. Pulcheri didn't minimize any of my concerns, and joked back with me when I used self-deprecating humor. She listened, offered her opinion, asked me to think about some things (like a pap smear, which I haven't in years), and offered advice without judgement. Basically, exactly what you'd want from a doctor: and what is now so ridiculously hard to find. The clincher for me, though, was that she decided to take all my vitals and bloodwork herself, rather than being in her assistant - as she thought that would make more anxious. Gah, I think I'm in love with this place.
