Always get my dry cleaning done here and never have had a problem. It's a very convenient location for me, being right near LSU. It normally takes around three days for them to dry clean my clothes, which I think is pretty reasonable. They do send a text when your items are ready to be picked up. Luckily, cyclone has machines for any size load (up to 60lbs) and all of the machines are super quick. If you forget your detergent/dryer sheets, there are some vending machines with all you need. I travel frequently with work and have been to lots of laundromats, my initial impression wasn't great; I found this to be a regular run of the mill laundromat with a frustrating to figure out card card system that charges you for everything from the card, to use of the machines and supplies. By the time I added it up in my head I figured I'd spend the extra $10 and just drop off and let them do it and was very glad I did! It was a little more expensive than other cities but the staff was so friendly, my clothes were done within a couple hours, and everything came so neatly folded with the collar shirts hung in plastic garment bags! I have been in 5 cities in the past 3 months and haven't received my clothes so nicely done as I have from here. read more

I've been displaced since the storm in May. While my belongings have been in storage, I've had to wash them here. It was going well until the recent experence. I'd paid to wash my clothes and another family restarted the washing machine by mistake with all of my clean clothes in it. (The machine had stopped less than 5 minutes before I walked up to remove my clothing.) In a matter of minutes, all of my clothes were left drenched again. At first, she claimed my clothing probably wasn't drenched because it had just restarted. But with an industrial washing machine, I already knew that was a lie. My clothes were DRENCHED again. I was expected to pay extra to fully rewash my clothing to drain the new water or pay extra to dry for something I DID NOT cause. This is absolutely POOR customer service for something that was not my fault. She stopped the breaker once the other family told her what they'd done but offered no solution. Neither did they. I was the only one expected to pay more for an issue I did not cause. The female employee did not care AT ALL and basically dismissed my concern. I had a shirt I'd given to them to be laundered. I took my item back and said to hell with it. The whole experience was a deterrence. Will NEVER be returning again. read more

Very clean laundry mat, machines to fit all your needs. The dryers didn't dry my clothes fully, even after 1.25 hours, but i did have a lot of clothes. They have 3 sizes (2 load, 4load, and a 8 load... if I remember correctly) i washed clothes in the 4 load and comforters in the 8 load, put all clothes/sheets in largest dryer, and all my sheets came out half dry/damp. I also spent 21.00 on washing and drying, kind of expensive. read more

Best laundromat in Baton Rouge! Cyclone is south of LSU's campus and a 10 minute drive from my house. There are 3 laundromats on my trip here, yet I keep driving because its worth it. I'm not one to leave my clothes unattended in a washer/dryer, so I'm going to be spending upwards of an hour sitting, waiting. So choosing a clean, comfortable establishment is a priority. This place excels. There are 30+ washers and 36+ dryers at this place. I went around 7 PM on a weeknight and found it mostly empty. It is well-lit and has little tables to do work at or read. Along the back wall, there are computers for rent (thus, Internet Cafe). $1 gets you 15 minutes. But there's also free wifi available. The password is taped to the glass. This whole operation works based on magnetic cards. Buy a card for $1, then load it either from cash or from your credit/debit card. Very convenient! I used a $7 washer rated for 60 lbs of laundry and got all my wash done in one fell swoop. Much more efficient and much cheaper than buying lots of 20 lb washers. I like this place. Safe, clean, and in good repair. Makes washing clothes not a terrible experience. EDIT: Forgot to mention the awesome music. Yeah. They play awesome music. For a laundromat, anyway. read more

You can trade them in for 1$ which is really great if your moving or accumulated a few over time. Regular size washers are $3, larger washers are $5 and the "motherload" is $7. A major surprise was the "cards". It costs a buck just to get the card. After purchasing, you can load it up with credit to use in the computers or washer and dryers. I just saw that someone said the cards are returnable for your dollar back. I don't quite get the whole idea in the first place. The money spent on computer time doesn't buy much of it. On the upside it was clean,quiet, well equipped, and the dryer I used dried the clothes quite quickly. If you're in a rush, it may be a good bet. read more

He asked if it was ok for his pup was around as well as chatted with me about the area and vets in the area. I have been coming to this laundry mat for the better part of a year and I have had no complaints until very recently. The prices are perfectly fine for me and the place is kept clean. The machines are fast and get you in and out fairly quickly. Unfortunately my issue was with an employee here by the name of Alexandria A. It's a women with fairly short dark hair, with green streaks. I tried putting money on my cyclone card through the self service machine for the first time, before I had always asked the clerk to add the money because when I first came here, the lady told me it was perfectly fine for me to ask them to add the money. Anyway, I decided to try the self service machine and I read the directions but I must have done something wrong because I kept swiping my card with no luck and I didn't feel like that was a good idea to do with my debit card. So I ask Alexandria at the desk, (who was just leaning there looking at her smartphone), if she would help me put money on my card. She assumes I'm asking her how to work the machine but I simply wanted her to add the money for me from her terminal. She comes over and tells me to read the directions. But I already read the directions and that's not the help I'm asking for anyway but since she assumed I'm asking her how to work the machine, I respond by asking her to clarify something and then she gets an agitated tone and tells me; "God, read the directions." As if I am being a huge inconvenience to her. I can't believe she would respond to a customer in this way. I am never unnecessarily rude to strangers because I'd never want anyone to do that to me. It's not like I was asking something out of the ordinary from what I assume would be part of her job. Which is assisting customers. I was simply asking for help. My sister and brother-in-law come to help me with the self service terminal after noticing my struggle and I'm able to get the money on the card. Right after that the clerk tells me "I'm sorry for snapping, I get asked this question a lot." I don't care if you get asked that question a million times a day, that doesn't give you the right to snap at someone. Especially a customer at your work. I don't feel comfortable coming here anymore so I regret to say I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

My sister and I don't complain, but this made my sister not want to come back. My sister and I have been customers here for over a year now, and usually I really like going here. My sister and I came here a few days ago and my sister asked if she could get money on her card for the washing machines, and my sister is a very nice person, so it came as a surprise when she was red in the face by how upset she was with how she talked to her. The employee scoffed and laughed in my sisters face for asking a simple question, then proceeded to say she was tired of people asking her questions. I don't understand why a customer can't ask a simple question, I don't understand why she had to treat my sister like that, I get it if it was a bad day, it happens. This place rocks!!! I was on vacation and already had a suitcase of mostly dirty laundry. They didn't make me pay the price for a minimum weight requirement like a lot of places do. They were super fast, did a wonderful job and my laundry didn't come out smelling perfumey -- just fresh and clean. They are the only place in Baton Rouge I take my laundry to and all of my roommates and friends use them as well and everyone is always pleased with Cyclone's work! Saturday night I borrowed a purse from my roommate that had white satin interior and my red lip gloss busted open and got all over the inside, I was freaking out! Cyclone was the first place I thought of to take the purse to and I'm so glad I did because they got the whole stain out and it looked as good as new! The people who work there are really friendly and over-the-top helpful. The family I babysit for has young children and constantly needs dry-cleaning; they take all of their clothes to Cyclone and are avid fans as well. This place has a great wash-n-fold service. $1.35 per pound for next day service, $1.85 for same day. I was completely behind on everything domestic and academic at the end of semester and finally decided to outsource at least one huge chore. The staff were friendly when I went in. You weigh your laundry immediately and pay upfront. Right after leaving, I called back to make sure they would dry my clothes on low or medium heat. Instead of being insulted that I was telling him how to do his job, the man on the phone was understanding and assured me that they actually read and follow every single wash tag; they even have an area in the back with a big fan for clothes that do not go in the dryer. All the same, he said he'd leave a note to make sure my clothes weren't shrunk, which made me feel better. (The last thing I need right now is for nothing to fit). My clothes were ready when they said they'd be and even though I brought my own bags, the girl behind the counter made sure I didn't have anything hanging before sending me in my way. Thoroughness and good, quick service are definitely their strong points. Like others have said, the place is clean. Even for wash-n-go they gave me a laundry card with my info on it to make dropping off clothes faster next time. The detergent they use does have a stronger smell than my own hippie Whole Foods detergent, but it's not overwhelming and seems to have faded in the last 12 hours; next time I will request the unscented detergent. I will definitely use this place again when my domesticity invariably fails at the end of another semester. read more

This is strictly a review of their dry cleaning service as I've never used the laundromat portion. I'm honestly surprised that they've recieved such high marks. They absolutely ruined my wife's beaded blouse and didn't even bother to tell her about it, let alone offer to reimburse her for the damage/price of the blouse or even the price of the cleaning. Not only that, but they didn't even bother to call and notify us that our clothing was ready for pick-up. These are NOT good business practices.
