I ended up switching the handlebar, the stem, and the seat, all in-house. I also upgraded my tires to tubeless and received a very generous discount on them. My partner, who has bought several bikes from different shops in Vancouver, was equally impressed. He mentioned that the experiences he's had in town don't even come close to this one.
