Parking lot shared with several businesses, may feel tight with the In&Out Burger line. I recommend to give yourself some time to park, check in, put on your shoes, adjust your bike. I have no complaints with CycleBar. I have been here several times using classpass. Each time i have arrived, staff has been welcoming. Seems to be a nice community. Lockers are a good size, studio is clean, bikes appear fairly spaced. Spin classes appear comparable to others in the area, I don't love any one better than the other. If you like spin class, invest in your own pair of shoes so you don't need to rent every time. The cardio is at your own pace. Adjust your own resistance. I have come to this class both when I'm feeling physically great and also when I am physically spent from the work day. On my slow day I appreciate biking in the low light, in my own corner, giving myself grace for showing up! In my experience, spin classes are not an end all be all, but more like a supplement to other activities and workout routine. read more

This CycleBar is located in Long Beach right by the traffic circle. Parking can be a bit stiff at busier times but ample for the most part. Front desk girl was extremely friendly and she was informative on the packages. If I were to join I think the unlimited is the most bang for your buck. I did a free first ride for Jenna's 5:30am class and it was a vibe. I love a good theme and it was Kendrick, J. Cole and Drake. Her energy on the podium was on point and definitely had us working through the strength class which is 3 songs with an arm weighted bar. They do provide free shoes on your first class but do acquire a charge for future classes. The studio is a pretty solid size and they have a ton of theme rides which I recommend checking out socials or website for information. Otherwise, only ding is I got bit several times by a mosquito or some type of bug during the class which ended up being a pretty uncomfortable few days later as my bites swelled up. I wanted to love this CycleBar, but the owner, Komail, created a hostile environment through a pattern of accusatory behavior. Over three separate visits, I was consistently singled out, accused, and treated with disbelief in a way that has no place in a business that claims to promote wellness and community. 1. First Visit: I checked in using my WellHub subscription. Komail insisted I pay for shoes, contradicting my prior experience at the Torrance location. I paid under his directive. After class, he approached me to say the charge was a mistake because he thought I used ClassPass--even though I had explicitly stated WellHub at check-in. This felt like a bait-and-switch. 2. Second Visit: As I was leaving the cycling room, Komail approached me not to ask about my class, but to accuse me of taking a Celsius energy drink. I showed him my water bottle and stated I don't drink them, yet he continued to question me, implying he didn't believe me. The interaction was purely accusatory. 3. Third Visit: Komail again told me I had to pay for shoes. I explained that I had called ahead and was told by another employee that WellHub users do not pay for shoes and that they "don't keep track" of it. He dismissed this as a "miscommunication." When I expressed my frustration at these constant, changing problems, he became aggressive, demanding, "Why are you frustrated?" I finally told him directly that I felt targeted every time I visited and asked if it was because I am an Indigenous woman. His defensive response did not address the core issue: his own actions. This is not about $4 for shoes. This is about being followed, accused, and spoken to with aggression and disbelief by the owner on multiple occasions. The cumulative effect is a hostile environment designed to make a customer feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. I believe he intended to make my experience so poor that I would not return. read more

Had my first class at cycle bar and probably third cycle class of my life a couple weeks ago and when I say this is exactly how any fitness facility should treat every single person's first visit to any fitness class I mean it!! I couldn't have felt more welcomed and comfortable thanks to the front desk staff and the instructor! I'm not a typical fitness girly so I was out of my element, but I literally felt so strong and inspired at the end of the class!! They know what they're doing and they know how to get you to be excited about fitness which is what I'm looking for! read more

I took my first class at CycleBar last night, and I thought it was really good. I'm a Peloton user, so I prefer that bike in general, however. I had a hard time getting the full turns right in order to change the gears, and my bike felt "gravely" at times. I also didn't know how to use the tracking screen, so I was playing with that throughout the class. Peloton doesn't do all the arm movements that are so popular in these classes. I thought they were interesting. I did appreciate the arm workout with the weighted bars. That's something I never do at home. I feel like I have a more intense workout at home, but I was also adjusting to the bike and the atmosphere and didn't push as hard as I might on my own and with equipment I'm used to. The environment was fun with the lights and the instructor interaction. One downside was that someone in front of me kept farting. Like seriously. Like 4 times. I'm working out, so I have to breathe, and I can't avoid it because I'm stationary. This is not CycleBar's fault, but I guess that's a part of an in person class/experience? 4 times is really extreme, though. Shame on that person for doing this. I mean, if you're sick or something, don't go to class, because that's really rude and inconsiderate. Lastly, all the amenities were surprising and appreciated. They have lockers you can lock for your belongings. I already had one assigned to me. They have shoes for rental, though I brought my own. There's a huge water station. They have jars with hair ties, mints, and something else that I forgot. I would totally use hair ties if I was a regular, because I almost forgot mine. Also, they have complimentary towels for use during the workout, and they were handing out cold towels from the fridge after. So, service is spot on. Just hope that no one around you is having gastrointestinal issues. read more

I'm so pissed. Do not get any type of membership with Cycle Bar. I'll say it again, "DO NOT GET A MEMBERSHIP WITH CYCLE BAR." I hurt myself during one of their classes, and politely asked to freeze my account because I couldn't go. Then they charged me for freezing it. When I called to cancel and say that I was displeased because I was never told that I would be charged to freeze it. Did they cancel it? No! Today, when I called because apparently they don't care that I called several weeks ago, they hung up on me. They now are charging me over $400. They're nuts. I appreciate that their first class is free. They offer amenities such as water, small towels, and hairbands. But it wasn't as challenging as other cycling studios. The bikes were also too close to each other, and they should enforce a phone policy. Seeing people pull out their phones in the middle of class takes away some of the experience. I have been with cyclebar traffic circle for about 4 months now and i'm absolutely in love! I never thought I would love a cycling class but now I can't get enough of it. I love that they have different themed rides and cater to everyone's music taste and personal interests. They include shoes, lockers, towels, hair ties and other amenities to make you feel ready to tackle another ride. They celebrate milestones which motivates me to keep going so I can hit it! What also made me interested is the different type of rides offered for you such as a connect ride which is less about stats and just about you and the bike where as classic or performance is stats heavy and competing to be number one. I've been going to CycleBar regularly since October when they first opened and I love how welcoming the studio is for everyone! The instructors and staff are so friendly and the other patrons are super supportive. I feel like we really ride as a team and it's all about working together - even though it's an individual bike! I love the challenge boards and races to get my competitive spirit going in the Performance classes, but also just being zen in the Connect classes! The towels (both one during the class and a cold towel after class), shoes, hair ties, mints, and ear plugs are all included in your class fees. The lockers are super clean and it's fun how they will decorate them for the theme classes and for new members. Each of the instructors add something different to their classes and I love all the theme rides. It's so fun to dress up and work out with a group of folks that are super supportive and have a killer playlist. read more

This was a really cute cycle studio. I'm a regular at GritCycle but decided to try this one out after signing up for ClassPass. When I arrived they had a designated locker for me with my name written on it with marker. That was a really nice touch. Someone checked me in and showed me around so it did feel very personal. The instructor was Sonny and he played good music and had a good sense of humor throughout the ride. I'd say the workout level was moderate compared to other cycle studios I have been to. I'm curious if that is a running theme with the studio or just with the instructor I took. Overall it was a positive experience. Took a Classpass with Mary today. It was my first time here and I got to meet Jennifer and the franchisee. Everyone was so friendly and made sure I was ready to go. This Cyclebar has so much more customer service and personality than Gritcycle. I always arrive early because they will actually take the time to to help you out find the right shoe, give you a tour, help you with a locker, introduce the bike functions, weights, help you on/off the bike, and asked how you feel at the end of class. I felt like Gritcycle kinda gave me the run around in comparision. Cyclebar is more TLC which I appreciate since I was brand new. Bathroom do not include a shower unlike GritCycle. What I loved most about Cyclebar was that I could hear and understand the instructor, Mary. The volume of the music wasn't so unbearably loud unlike GritCycle. I could actually understand and hear what Mary was instructing us to do. This made my experience so much more fun than being lost for 45 mins. Bikes are in better condition and quality. Each bike has its own monitor that you can track your progress. They offer complimentary shoe rentals and scented cold towels at the end of class. Thank you guys! read more

Predatory pricing practices and they make it a huge headache to quit (California law requires easy cancellation so hopefully this has been corrected). You'll walk away with all sorts of surprising charges, stay clear. Instead of being decent human beings who genuinely want to help you, they'll just say "it was in the contract" as if they knew they were tricking you the whole time. If it's in the contract, then verbalize it and make sure the customer knows what they're getting themselves into. Disguising hidden charges and fees within legalise is predatory whether it's legal or not. To my understanding, good companies and decent human beings DONT do that. read more

CBTC is EVERYTHING someone could wish for in a community geared towards Empowerment, Self Love & Grace. I was hesitant to buy into the hype because i thought "there's no way they could be this excited for a spin class". I was totally wrong! It's now March '23 and things have only grown into a community of Diversity, Inclusivity, and Unconditional Positive Regard. CBTC is SOO much more than a 45 minute workout. It has developed into a Sanctuary for the community to Unplug & fill our cups with all that we've neglected physically emotionally-- spiritually. No matter which class you take the instructors are trained with Brand mission & values, but the icing on the cake is each of their uniqueness & personality comes through authentically when the lights go down and the heart work begins. CBTC sessions centralize around what you need physically & mentally and the results are bigger than "weight loss". Cyclebar is the place to practice Mind/body alignment. No matter your age or fitness level, there is plenty to gain in the studio. I've lost quite a bit of weight (30lbs & counting) but i promise you that's NOTHING compared to the real takeaways of this place. I started going to Cyclebar Traffic Circle four months ago and I'm addicted! Every class I've taken was always fun and the playlist are always enjoyable. I love all the instructors and the staff here because they are always so friendly and welcoming. If you're a new rider, they help you with whatever you need and setting up your bike. I didn't have cycling shoes of my own in the beginning, so I love that they have some available to use whenever you need them with no charge. I've been to other cycling studios and they charge rental fees for cycling shoes. The studio is super clean. There's also lockers available to put your belongings in and water dispenser if you need some cold drinking water to fill your water bottle. Classes are easy to book in the app. A class is 45 minutes long but you can sit down and take breaks if needed. After each session, they offer a cold towel to cool you down which is really nice. There's also a ton of free parking at the plaza so you don't have to worry for parking. Overall, if you're looking for a great workout or just wanted to sweat and try spin-- go to Cyclebar!!! I have sat here for a while trying to figure out what to say about Cycle Bar Traffic Circle... and I still am struggling to find how to express myself effectively. CBTC, in short, saved me in ways I didn't know I needed. I'm heavier, definitely not fit. But I have always been interested in Spin. I also have spent my entire adulthood thinking spin was for wealthy, skinny, fit women who drive luxury cars and have small yappy white dogs.... Being a "spin girl" felt completely out of reach. But I gave CBTC a try and I was HOOKED from my first class. The community is body shapes of all sizes, strength abilities of all types, and the instructors each have their own Coaching language. I love the class availability - I work starting at 7 so the 5:30 AM classes are my favorite - they currently have them Wed and Fri and if those classes stay full, they'll bring back Monday! CBTC has become my therapy, my me-time, my investment into myself. I love how strong I'm getting, the music is awesome, and I love the challenges. They have a water refill station, hair-ties, earplugs if you want them, mints, big bathrooms (although no shower), and lockers that have built-in locks so you don't need to come with a lock. They supply shoes and towels if you don't want to bring your own as well. Spin is truly the first form of exercise I have truly loved and crave - I miss it when I can't make my regular classes. Just completed 3 months with CycleBar and i can honestly say the experience has been so sweet! Literally the whole staff are a breath of fresh air, they're always looking for ways to help you and make sure you're completely satisfied with your ride and membership, the classes are ALWAYS so liberating and energetic, no matter what time of day or instructor. Although i only took classes with 5 different instructors, every single one brought the energy and motivation in the room and that's something so important with Cycling! :) I tried a couple GritCycle classes before buying my membership at CycleBar and i could feel how non-inclusive it was, very transactional and a bit dim in energy, but the second i got to Cycle Bar i was met with friendly and accepting open arms and so is everyone else! even if you're a beginner, it's 100% a perfect place to find community in fitness, as everyone, riders alike, are so kind. It's definitely a great place for anyone and everyone who wants to start or continue a health journey :) Shoutout to Sierra, Alyssa, and Sonny!! What an amazing class! I took a cycling class once before and didn't have the best experience, so I was very hesitant and intimidated at first. As soon as I got there, the staff was super friendly and helped me along the way with literally everything: from shoes, to finding my locker, to setting me up on the bike. My instructor, Susan, was spectacular! Not only does she keep you physically motivated on the bike, but she also inspires us to work hard in life. It was an overall stress-relieving session: body, mind, and soul. 45 minutes surprisingly went by really fast! But you do sweat A LOT! They do provide you with a towel(one before and after class), but I'd recommend bringing another one of your own. And of course, don't forget the most important thing, WATER.
