Austin and his employees are knowledgeable, smart and incredibly helpful. Many shops I went to would not even entertain helping me because I did not buy the bike from their shop. Bikeway in Hanover went out of their way to help me, above and beyond anything I expected. I have learned a lot from this experience. Many of the bikes sold on the internet may be less money but in the end if you can't get the bike serviced, what good did it do to save a little money. I'm going to buy another electric bike which will suit my needs better than the one I bought and will rely on Austin and his employees to guide me on the best bike for my needs and I know they will be there to help me with all the things that an electric bike requires and never let me down. Thanks Austin for all your help

I messaged Bikeway and the owner, Austin, answered quickly via email, happy to help. Turns out my tires were already tubeless (whoops!), but Austin helped me with the back wheel, which had a problem with the tubeless seal. He also took the time to ask a few questions about bike fit, for example why my seat was angled a certain way (no reason -- I just put the seat on and don't know what I'm doing). He adjusted it to be more comfortable for longer rides. Despite being busy, he got to work on my bike and finished the same day which saved me a longer drive back to the shop the next day. This shop is very professional, and the owner is a cyclist himself, very down to earth, and genuinely wants to help in any way he can do make sure the customers a good time on the road / gravel / trail. I would recommend giving them a shot for service or stopping in to talk to Austin if you're in the market for a new bike.

DICK'S Sporting Goods - so jeffy

Like so…read moremany, I was happy to purchase my ammunition, sneakers, gym ware, socks, sports equipment, etc from this location. When my daughter was younger, and I would have to wait for her to finish up at the nearby Y or her School, I was only too happy to spend an hour + walking around this store. Almost always finding a friendly conversation with a staff member and/or something I wanted to buy. Usually both. Fast forward to Sunday 6/15/2020: I was excited to hear that Dick's Hanover was open for business. So much so, I was there in the morning, ready to make a few purchases. As I walked around, I actually became sad. The firearm section was gone. The clothing selection is completely dominated by Nike. Virtually everything else on the racks and shelves is made in China. The 4 stars are simply for the staff. I initially gave 1 star but didn't think that it would be fair to penalize them because of the company's downhill direction.

Was here a couple of days ago with my husband who was looking for a fleece neck gator for skiing…read more It's quite a big place with all kinds of recreational and sporting goods. For my shopping "tastes", this store is just too vast and overwhelming. It is a sea of merchandise. Well organized yes but just way too much stuff to take in. Despite all the "stuff" I didn't see bargains of any note...in fact...and this could just be me ...but I was astonished to see Nike women's sweatpants for $110.00. That seems like a lot of dough to lay out for sweatpants. I'd skip the name brand and the Nike logo and look for another deal. Better yet, don't wear sweatpants unless you're in the gym or running outside on a cold day as I am not sure who they are flattering on and I am so over seeing people running around everywhere in ill-fitting sloppy looking gym-wear. But for the gym-goers, and exercisers of all kinds, you will find all manner of clothing and equipment here...a fairly comprehensive seeming selection whatever your sport of choice might be. They also sell, t-shirts, specialized sports' shoes, lots of coolers and water bottles including the in my opinion ridiculous looking and now viral Stanley water bottles that everyone seems to be lugging around...tons of those! (I just read that in California there is a class action suit pending on these Stanley water bottles as the company has acknowledged the sealing material used for its vacuum insulation contains lead). I didn't see many staff throughout the store. The staff I did see seemed to be congregating up front so if I had had a question there would have been no one to ask without traipsing back up to the front where the registers are. And in a store as large as this, that's a pain. There are so many other places to get most of the things sold here but with better service and for me, with a more manageable store footprint and experience. If I'm not going to get a bargain, I'd rather spend my money at a smaller store with attentive service. Tom didn't find the neck gator he was looking for so we left without purchasing anything but for me, I can't imagine why I'd return.

Their primary offerings have to do with skiing and snowboarding-- true-- but you'll also find road bikes, touring bikes, mountain bikes, rollerblades, and more. Since the snow's melted, I've been wracking my brain, trying to find a fun summer activity that will provide the same workout as cross country skiing. Rollerblading seemed a natural substitute, but where would I find rollerblades these days? I considered trolling Craigslist for a pair, but God knows how old they'd be or what condition they'd be in. I'd seen Country Ski & Sport's sign before-- advertising "rollerblades"-- and made today the day that I stopped in to see what they had to offer. The place was dead empty. It is, after all, mid-April, and most people have moved on to muddier things. The single employee on duty noted that they only had a "few" pairs of rollerblades left; luckily, there was one pair in my size. I tried them on, rollerbladed around the shop for a few, and he called (I assume) his boss, asking how much they could discount the price, since there were only a few pairs left for them to "get rid of." You guys, I got a pair of $180 rollerblades, new in the box, for $50. Yep. You can't even buy them on Amazon new for that low price, anymore. I get it, rollerblades are a bit of a 90s dinosaur, but just think of all the fun I can have! I could join a roller derby club! I could join a street hockey team! I could buy a neon green fanny pack and 'blade the Cape Cod Canal! At any rate, check this place out, especially if you're needing a local ski/snowboard shop. They do rentals and tune-ups in addition to sales. There's gear, clothing (everything from socks to jackets), boots, poles, skis, boards and goggles. While they may not have the variety you'd find at a ski shop in the mountain, this place definitely offers a good deal. Don't miss out-- stop in to see if you can score a sweet bike for summer!

Because of the misunderstanding they offered us a 50% discount for the future, which we were excited to use. We planned another trip up and when I called, Steve advised me to book the reservation and he'd apply the discount afterwards. We rented 2 e-bikes for $200, and had a nice day riding around the north shore. At the time we picked them up, Steve mentioned that he owed us the discount. We dropped them off at the end of the day and everything seemed good. Unfortunately it was never applied I've heard zilch from Steve since then. I've emailed multiple times about it and gotten no response. At this point it's been a month. Presumably since we've paid he just doesn't care? In the end, we had been willing to pay full price the first time around, but it's really disappointing to get a bait-and-switch like this.

I was told to come back tomorrow. I tried calling the next day, but nobody answered the phone so I showed up they didn't remember me. I told him I had purchased a scooter yesterday with my coworker, and then they went to look for it and they said it still wasn't ready and they needed to charge it . I came back the following day called again. No answer showed up didn't know who I was again reminded him an went to get my scooter ready for me to take one problem, though there was no charger with the brand new scooter. He could not find it. So he gave me a charger from behind the counter fast forward to today, May 5, 2026. I tried calling again no answer so I drove in. Doors were locked. Lights are on went to the front and back entrance. No sign of anyone one last check I see the guy who sold me the scooter in the window. I motion to him to come over. He comes over. he lets me in. I tell him about my scooter, he tells me to bring it in. I told him the back brake is no longer working, and my rear tire was making a grinding noise. He told me I could leave it to fill out my information before leaving. I asked him when he thought somebody would be able to take a look at it and he told me about a month. He stated the technician wasn't in today and that they had a backlog of scooters that needed to be repaired, which he pointed to in the corner and then told me there was multiple down in the basement of the same model. I told him that wasn't an option for me to wait over a month and that the scooter is still under warranty for another five months he tried to refer me to a scooter shop in Cambridge, which I live nowhere near and not paying for something that was under warranty. I then asked him what to do and he told me to call Segway the scooter company. And then again referred me to the scooter shop in Cambridge, which I had to reiterate that was not an option and I am not paying for something that is still under warranty. I asked him for Segway's number which he told me he did not have and to "Google it". My only dealings with this place twice have not been good and not the best customer service to say the least. Scooters were $1100 with tax and are under warranty for another five months and they are telling me I have to wait over a month to even get it looked at. Unacceptable!

The template pieces were all laid out, but that was it. Co-founder Luke had me read and sign all the releases first, and asked about my experience with welding etc. Being a Veteran myself, Luke as well, and the non-profit supporting Veterans and First Responders, he also made sure to ask me if loud noises or anything would bother me. Every step was explained and demonstrated before I was able to do it, and as nervous as I was at first, it quickly went away knowing he took my safety, the safety of others as well as their shop very seriously. Co-founder Ben also provided some muscle when I was unable to bend the metal myself. In just over 2 hours I had sanded, measured, re-measured, bent , hammered and welded together a really cool one of a kind 5-sided barn star. It was definitely something different to do and it was a really cool and fun experience. 5 stars !
