However once you're in, the staff are friendly and helpful, and I think offers good value. The shop is quite small, and has all the essentials, but not much beyond that, so if you are looking for the latest Northwave jersey, you will need to try somewhere else. It is more of a functional shop catering to people who are using their bike to get places rather than purely for exercise or sport. They have a plentiful supply of florescent yellow plastic, which is most important for cycling on London's roads.

Its not that the work done by the resident mechanic on my trusty racer has ever actually disappointed me, nor that you won't find some of the best cycle brands and top-quality accessories in here. You will. But I have to feel sorry for the blokes who work here. Their attitude to anyone who walks through the door with anything less than some new-season titanium-alloy construction is a sneering shame. I should have been warned after the first time I visited I was told I should wash my bike more often. F*** you, I thought, I happen to like the mud and rust effect. As i left with bike the wheel was rubbing on mudguard. The Guy obviously hadn't checked it after repair. After some more work i left again and it was worse... guy said," Wheel is BUCKLED" Went home and turned bike upside down to find out exactly where rubbing was. The wheel was LOOSE! He Hadn't tightened the wheel nuts which is why it was rubbing in first place! As I use the bike to carry my child from Nursery the thought of the nuts coming off the wheel with him on it (due to the repairers forgetting) is very distressing. i immediately left message explaining what happened..(i also cut my hand having to re align the wheel) So far 2 days later an no reply. i have used this shop before and haven't had a problem. This time it was an unprofessional disaster that could've resulted in a serious accident. Obviously it was an oversight but i am very unhappy that no one has contacted me with an apology.

The staff is Evans is so helpful. They spent extra time getting my seat to the right height and explaining to us how to fold-up the bike properly. They explained to us the pros and cons of the different models and the girlfriend tried a crummy old Brompton. It wasn't old but it is crummy because it's not a Pinnacle! This shop also sells some nice cycling clothing. Evans is not the cheapest place around but they are reputable and you can bring your bike to them if something goes wrong. Try a Pinnacle bike's won't look back. Lightweight and sturdy. Rocks.

These folks are FABULOUS!…read more I am training for a 500+ mile/5 day trip, and had issues with one of my Shimano 105 shifters. Even though I had authorized a replacement of the shifter (£200), they were able to repair the existing part and included it in the overall servicing of my bike. They had me back training in one day. This is the second servicing for this bike (GT Grade 105). I've also had them service my Brompton. 5 stars for all work done!

Needing a new brake cable installed on my bike, I got a great service from this recently opened…read moreshop. Rather than be told that I'd have to wait until sometime later in the week, here I simply wheeled my bike in, and 15 minutes later had a newly installed cable ready to go. The price, for both labour and cable, was also good at £8. More generally, this shop sells the usual range of bikes, though focusing more on bikes for the road than off-road. There are kids bikes. hybrids, some road bikes (and some rather nice accessories for the latter) and a couple of token-effort, psuedo-city bikes. The normal range of accessories, from puncture repair kits to fancy hydration and refuelling gels can be found here too. The service from the mechanic was friendly, offering to adjust the cable for free when it stretched a few days into use. I normally trek to Look Mum No Hands when I'm in search of quality service on my Dutch bike. But with this place right on my doorstep I suspect my trips eastwards will become rather less.
