While we always…read morethought they were a bit expensive they always treated us fairly and honestly until a couple of weeks ago. We listed our Harley on FB a rep from their establishment called us. They offered my husband a price which was ridiculously low he said no and told her what he would take and ended the conversation. Not more than 5 minutes later she called back to say OK they would give us that and arranged to have the bike picked up, brought to their store to make sure everything was good and to write us the check. All this happened, we were told to drive down there which we did and they tried to low ball us $2000.00. Very poor service came up with ridiculous things that they thought needed to be done. Then when we said we wanted the bike brought back they said they couldn't get to it until the following week! We said absolutely not and thankfully they do have employees that actually care about people and we're able to get it back to us the original day. There is no way we will ever do business with them again or will we ever recommend their business to our biker and other friends.

If you are someone who places a high value on personalized service, requires your mechanic have a…read morescrupulous approach to car diagnostic/repair, and necessitate your car service provider respects your time and money then you will appreciate going to Mendota Heights Auto Service. I have had my vehicles serviced at more than 15 repair shops during my 28 years living in the Twin Cities metro area and Mendota Heights Auto Service has become the only place I will bring my cars for work. Sean and his team are very courteous, punctual, honest, ethical, and proficient at offering explanation of problems/repairs (which I need because I'm not a car expert). This Review may seem full of superlatives but it reflects how I genuinely feel. About 6 months ago I had work done on my car at a major Twin Cities car dealership service center (where I had a discount coupon). A few weeks later my tire (that I had paid to be fixed) fell off while the car was in motion. Luckily for me I did not sustain any serious injuries and I had no family members in the car at the time of the incident. When AAA came I told them to bring the car straight to Mendota Heights Auto Service and it was fully repaired in 2 days. Thanks Sean! You and your Team truly set the Gold Standard for Auto Repair in the Twin Cities! Thank You! -Dylan

Fortunately we discovered our hitch had been installed improperly before someone was killed from the hitch and trailer detaching from the car at highway speeds. They had left four of the bolts that hold the hitch to the car loose. The lock washers were so floppy they spun when you touched them. The wire harness was incorrectly installed so that it rubbed against bare metal instead of passing through the factory supplied rubber grommet and was beginning to cut into the wires. Lastly, they forgot to heat shrink the protective shrink wrap that keeps the brake controller wires from getting wet, corroding short circuiting. All three issues could lead to injury or death. We have pictures of all the issues. BUYER BEWARE!
