Longtime Yelp user, but Bruno's great service motivated me to join Yelp and give a review…read more I inherited a 1973 Honda CB350-4 from my father. It had been sitting in a garage for 20 years. I had it towed over to Bruno's garage in Fridley. He had a practical, no-nonsense plan to rehabilitate the bike. He kept in touch, did great work and provided great value compared to what most motorcycle shops would have charged. (In a former life, I owned a Yamaha Vision 550 and, while it wasn't vintage, it did need to go into the shop and I am familiar with motorcycle shops.) In short, Bruno is trustworthy, and does great work at a great price. Can I give 6 stars?

It was a pleasure doing business with Bruno and due to his super knowledge, friendly-professional attitude, and very fair & reasonable prices, I will definitely be doing business with him again! Very friendly and wonderful service!…read more I brought my new bike in about an hour before closing because it wasn't shifting gears correctly. Another Woodbury bike shop had quoted me several weeks of wait time for a repair. As soon as I brought it into the shop, a friendly gentleman behind the counter asked me what I needed fixed. He immediately took my bike back to the repair area, fixed my gear in minutes, and didn't even charge me for service! I will be coming back here for all my future bike repairs!

I love seeing a smile and people that love their job and Ben clearly does. When I showed him my bike I had a broken brake, front brake issue, and I didn't know what to do? He simply bent down and begin to fix it for me as he told me it wasn't as big of an issue and he could probably fix it right there! He is a cashier it seemed but was willing to simply fix my problem without making me go through all of the red tape. He fixed it but noticed one of the pieces was bent. Then another gentleman by the name of Mike said from behind him that brake looks a little bent and he could fix it for only $20 if you want me to do it? I was so thrilled by the care and the concern that was given to me to see me get my bike fixed and back on the road! They said they would try to get to it today... And they did it within a few hours and called me and told me it was ready! I absolutely love the store and will be coming back to it regularly because of the great customer service and the people that love their jobs at this place! You've made a customer out of me!

I spoke with Shane on the phone before coming in and in person when dropping off and picking up my bike. In every conversation and interaction, I felt comfortable and got genuine, honest, great vibes. Shane called just 1.5 days after I dropped it off and told me it was ready to pick up. I was pleasantly surprised. Then, when he explained what they did (and what they didn't need to do), and the cost, I was shocked! Prior to dropping it off, we had discussed a few options for the air suspension, depending on what the issue was. Plus, I had explained I was a new rider and that the bike was new to me; so being a green, female rider without a lot of bike knowledge and an unknown issue, I expected the worst.... But that was not what Gilby's provided. They were honest about what the issue was and what they didn't need to do and they gave me a fair and reasonable price. They had every opportunity to overcharge me or get more out of me, but they didn't. Finally, when I went to pick it up, they had washed it! I couldn't be happier with the work Gilby's did, but even more, with the way they treated me. I will absolutely be going here for any/all future bike needs and will recommend them to everyone. Thank you for being honest and real, and for doing great work!

I had tires installed, an oil change done, and asked about some oil on my oil sensor. Everything went smoothly, and I was told the sensor issue wasn't anything major to worry about. However, after taking the bike out for a ride, I noticed oil blowing onto my saddlebag. I brought the bike right back just to ask a quick question and show them the mess. Instead of a simple two-minute look, I was told by their new office guy that I needed to make an appointment just to have someone look at it. I wanted to show the mechanic the issue, get his quick thoughts, and then schedule a service appointment if necessary. Being told to book an appointment just to ask a question about work that was just completed is a total lack of customer service. To make matters worse, Gilbey was sitting right next to me in his pickup on the phone the entire time, completely unavailable. It seems Gilbeys has gotten too big for basic, personal interactions. My money is earned too hard to be treated like an afterthought, so I will be taking my business to someone who still values the customer relationship.
