As the year comes to an end, I wanted to treat myself a little, so I decided to try this place that has so many great reviews online -- and I'm really glad I did! It's no surprise they've been around for five years. Apparently a lot of celebrities have visited too. Today I tried their head spa and ear cleaning service, and the whole experience was excellent. The staff carefully checked my condition first and used products that suited me personally. What I appreciated most was that there was no upselling at all, which made the experience feel very relaxing and genuine. After the treatment, they even served tea and snacks, and to my surprise they prepared Jasmine Milk Tea for me -- no waiting in line needed! They also helped style my hair into beautiful soft waves before I left. The ear cleaning technician was very professional, and honestly, I didn't expect to find this level of service here. Highly recommend giving it a try if you've never experienced it before. I feel like ear cleaning is one of those things you try once and then keep coming back for! This one is differentiated by the emphasis on traditional Chinese decor and the herbal foot bath for your feet to soak in while you are getting your head treatment. Personally, my back cannot handle the configuration of lying down with your knees bent with so your feet can soak in a tub below the table... I think a bonus is that this place is next to the Tibetan Foot Massage place if you wanna make a day of self care followed by some boba and Chinese food cuz this is the area for it. First scalp massage, very relaxing, and the service itself was great, however it felt really rushed. My friend booked our appointment at 4 PM for 2 Scalp Royal treatment. Front desk seemed really worried as if they won't be able to accommodate. Well they insisted that I start my service first with the scalp exam while I wait for my friend. The scalp exam lasted less than 1 minute!!! My service lady ended up taking me to the back and started working on my scalp. My friend arrived 10 minutes later and had to wait 20 minutes for someone else to free up to start on her. Supposedly people were late to their appointment which caused a delay. The scalp massage, facial, hair treatment were great, I fell asleep. Just really disappointed in how they handle appointments. If the rule is a 10 minute grace period for appointments, please honor it. This is a luxury service and needs to be treated as such. I visited CXG Spa after receiving a gift card and decided to upgrade to the full facial and neck massage along with the scalp treatment--and I am so glad I did. It's a hidden gem, a mom and pop shop. I walked in carrying a lot of stress from some recent news, but the atmosphere and care here allowed me to completely let go. The experience was so soothing that I actually fell asleep during the head fountain and red light therapy! They used a tea tree treatment that felt amazing, and they even showed me 'before and after' photos of my scalp to show the improvement. The facial, neck massage, and red light therapy on my face were the perfect additions. To top it off, they provided lovely tea before and after the session and even blow-dried my hair. My mom, sister and I had an amazing experience! We did the 90 minute Royal treatment without the facial, and more massage time. 1st part of the treatment was a scalp analysis where they showed us how dry and flaky our scalps were. Next, they took us into a curtained off area that had our beds for the our treatment and asked us to change into a button wrap around towel. During our foot soak, they covered us in warm blankets and put on a warm eye mask and began using different brushes to gently scrape our scalps. Then the best part - shampooing and conditioning our hair with the most invigorating scalp massage. One of the best I've ever had! They also massaged our necks, and ended our treatment with a nice blow dry. They were very accommodating as well. I requested via text in the morning asking if the 3 of us could sit next to each other, and they made it happen, so if you want to sit next to someone you're going with, know you can ask. I recommend getting there 15 minutes ahead of your appointment to allow time for parking, walk up to the 2nd floor, use the restroom, and change into your towel wrap! Wow what an amazing experience! My boyfriend and I decided to do a date at this head spa and we both loved it. I called to ask if we could have our head spas in the same room a day in advance and the lady on the phone was so friendly and scheduled us accordingly. Each of us had amazing ladies who gave us an amazing head spa and massage. We also got facials and head and neck massages which were great. Of course before and after they showed us our scalps with a little camera and the shock of how bad our scalps were before we started vs after the spa were crazy. My head felt amazing days after too. Came and got the 90 minute hair treatment without facial and walked out feeling refreshed with very clean smooth hair. I made an appointment online and put in my deposit. Upon entering the establishment, they will have you take a seat amongst some cool traditional Chinese instrument and furniture to wait your turn. They first analyzed my scalp with a fancy machine where they will show you build up, dandruff, health of your scalp. Who knew your scalp can look dry because you don't sleep enough. Next I was led to a private room to change into a towel wrap. The technician had me lie down and put my feet in a warm tub of water which felt great. The head massage and neck massage was wonderful. I could tell she's trying to work on my knots and I have a lot of knots along my neck and shoulders. The multiple hair wash with the head massages were also wonderful. The pressure my technician used was just right. Hard enough to do good but not enough to be painful. After awhile, they take your feet out of the warm water, wrap in a towel and cover that spot with a cushion. There is a blanket over you so you don't get cold. The eye mask that is heated made me so relaxed. After the hair washing and massages, the have me a robe, grabbed my bag with all my stuff and we headed to another room to blow dry my hair. Then there was a recheck to show my scalp all happy and rejuvenated. I opted not to have my hair styled since I was just going to go home after. Got another round of shoulder and neck massage. Overall clean and great experience. Will this make my hair grow more? I dunno but my hair felt so soft and was so smooth after for a few days. Ive done the standard, royal treatment, and the royal deluxe and the royal deluxe is 100% worth every penny. I usually have a very dry scalp that easily becomes oily due to the dehydration. Every time I come here, my dehydrated scalp is no longer dehydrated or oily. I've tried other scalp spas and always come back to here! I had the option of selecting which masseuse I wanted to go with so I went with someone whose name was dropped in the reviews often. Upon arriving, the lady at the front desk had assigned someone named Amy to me instead. The entire experience was below average. Everything felt rushed during the hair wash and when it came time to blow drying, my hair was not fully dried and Amy kept putting tools and product onto my hair without an explanation of what it's for and it seemed like she just had to have the items touch my hair for the service to be completed. This was my first time experiencing a scalp massage / treatment so I wasn't too sure what to expect. All I know is that the people in the tik tok videos looked super relaxed, and I wanted to be like them! I did a lot of research before I landed here. My full experience from making an appointment to the end of my service was very pleasant! I was celebrating my birthday here, and the lady on the phone (who spoke good English) was so kind and said she was looking forward to having me come in on my birthday. I had to provide a $20 deposit to secure my appointment, and it was deducted from my total at the end. The place is located on the second floor of a strip mall, in a very Asian-populated area. When I arrived, the nice lady checked me in, and I was introduced to the person providing the treatment. He didn't speak any English, so I had a bit of trouble understanding what I'm looking at during the initial hair analysis, when they took a hand-held wand/camera to show me details of my scalp. All I knew was that it was dirty and it needed to be cleaned! Then I was brought in to the service area, which isn't technically a room but rather a curtain-enclosed area. It didn't feel awkward as it was nicely sectioned off. I opted in to have my treatment done while lying down on the full-body massage chair/bed, which was absolutely glorious! The whole treatment was so soothing and relaxing, that I fell asleep and vaguely remember getting my face mask done! After a glorious 75 or so minutes, I was brought back to the salon area where they dried and lightly styled my hair. Then, he took out the hand wand again to show me my scalp, and lo and behold, it was very clean! My hair also felt thicker in my hands, and very smooth. At the end of the service, the nice lady gave me a small farewell / thank you gift and waved goodbye. This was SUCH a nice experience. Head wash: speaking only about the signature package, the 60 min experience was relaxing and I left feeling like my hair was softer and my scalp was cleaner. However, the head wash/massage was only about ~30 minutes, while the drying/styling/misc. took up the remaining time. Although it was an amazing experience for me, I will say that I expected more from the head massage portion as the package felt more like rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat (which I can definitely do myself). I got the scalp spa Royal Deluxe (this is the one without facial so more massage time) and the whole experience felt fantastic. They provided a "gown" to change into and then layered soft blankets on your body to keep you warm. I got a warm foot soak, heated eye mask, and they started scalp spa. I loved the different scents throughout the scalp cleansing and especially liked the last one that was cooling. Towards the end was the "waterfall" wash accompanied by herbal aromas.
