I've been going to La Spa in San Gabriel for facials and I really love this place. It's one of those rare spots that is both very affordable and very good at what they do. The estheticians are kind, professional, and consistent. My skin always feels clean, refreshed, and well cared for after every visit. They take their time and the whole experience feels relaxing without being overly fancy or expensive. I also appreciate that it's a place I feel comfortable bringing my 15-year-old son. He comes for facials too, and it's been great for helping him take care of his skin as a teenager. The environment is clean, calm, and welcoming. It's not easy to find a place that offers quality facials at such reasonable prices, but La Spa really does. Visited for a facial and back massage via Groupon, and it was an interesting experience. Turns out the address is a few doors down, and I was led here instead. They offer a variety of other services, too. The combo package started with a back massage; the amount of pressure was light / average. Overall, it was like being lightly brushed with moderate pressure. I've definitely had better in the past. After the massage, I had the facial which was very relaxing. I love coming here, been coming for two years. It is nice and clean here. My masseuse does not speak English but she knows enough to get me through the session. I get the body massage where they first start you off on your back under a sheet and they massage you through that after that, they massage you with some oil on your upper back. Then she places hot stones on my back while she works on my lower body. Afterwards, she has me flip over and focus on my head, neck, arms, and a bit of my legs. Broadway. Interior design and layout were modest with multiple numbered massage rooms. Their modest Lobby - waiting area - was neat and tidy with sense of tranquility. When you live an active lifestyle, its a priority to relax those muscles with a massage. After careful search for a spa in SGV, I decided to try LA Spa. I did a late afternoon walked-in (although reservation is recommended). They have massage, facial and combo services. I decided to get a full body (1 hr) and foot massage (30 mins) combo service. I was assigned to one of their rooms and met Cindy, a young Asian female masseuse. She did really good; translation she alleviated my tight muscles on every corner of my thicc body particularly my lower back and feet. Moreover, I liked the Hot Stone treatment and body oil that she provided. Even though she's not a loquacious person, she still asked what level of massage pressure that I want. She sensed my tightness and advised me to RELAX - so I acquiesced. Service prices were very reasonable and highly competitive. Free rear parking lot. Assuming there's only one massage place on the block, we entered LA Massage & Skincare to check in for our appointment. My friend and I were super confused because the place did not appear as pictured. Found out that LA Massage & Skincare and LA Spa are under the same owners. Walked down a couple stores and did the 90 minute massages with my girl friend. It was so worth it! Our ladies were so nice and strong. The place looks clean. DO NOT GO HERE!!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! My wife and I came here in a Thursday evening. We walked in and weren't properly greeted. She walked us into a room and was very pushy and rushing us to take off our shirts. Not even 30 seconds into trying to settle out belongings down and relax. We here people knocking staring "ready?" Literally like 5 times asking if we're ready. They're very pushy here. It's very loud there and not even relaxing. Also they have no AC!!!! Massage was a 3/10. Customer service 0.5/10. After paying for our massage we tipped them 20% and they replied back to us "no more?" That was freaking rude. Save your money don't even bother coming here. I hope they get shut down for good. I came back a few more times after my impressive first visit to try some other services, with mixed results. -30 min body massage: 5 star and I really recommend it. I've visited both LA Spa and Lulu Spa next door. This place offers a much better body massage, with oil massage and hot stone included. I'd like to return for full hour appointments. -30 min foot massage: 2 star and I'd rather go to Lulu's if I want some foot care. The main problem is the noise. The foot massage beds are in the back half of the building, while the private rooms (for body massages) are in the front half and have doors. The problem is, the foot massage area has only curtain, and it's only feet away from the sink where they fill/pour out buckets of water, so the noise level is unbelievably loud. It was the noisiest, most chaotic spa visit I've ever experienced. Not only are buckets of water being (loudly) filled or dumped out every ten minutes, but like 5-6 people congregated just outside the curtains to loudly chat/laugh. It was terrible. When I left, I saw that ALL the body massage rooms were empty. Why not just do foot massage in those rooms like at Lulu's, where they'll just put the bucket on the bed and let your feet soak there? I suggest that foot massages be done in those rooms as well, unless there's a lot of body massage appointments, then the foot massages can be moved to the back as a backup. Anyway, overall this is still a solid place, I'd love to return for their 90min facials and body massages, but never foot massages again. This facial place is amazing and gets straight to the point. The ambience of the place is very soothing and even Fola's voice was soothing. They provide a wrap to change into and even a heated blanket on the bed you lay on! The beginning and the end of the facial is very calming. But the middle portion of the facial gets quite strenuous. Fola makes sure to get every piece of gunk, dirt, blackhead, etc out of your face and she is very aware of what you're going through.. Fortunately, during the extractions she ensures you that you're doing great which is very reassuring. She also offers to clean your eyebrows and upper lip afterwards! Don't worry about how your face may look after your facial because one day later your face will already look so clean and smooth. Highly recommend this place! read more

I got my eyelash extension here the first time. Vivi was my eyelash tech, her work absolutely surprised me. I wanted my eyelash to look natural. She didn't try to push me to get the super expensive kind like most places, but she really took her time and gave me the most natural looking style. I've been getting classic lashes all my life (since 2020), this time is the most natural. I will not go anywhere else from now on. Vivi was super sweet and polite, also gave good recommendation. I wanted less curl as I aim for most natural, but she told me that it will not be visible. I went with the curl that she recommended, it turned out perfect. I'm so glad that I didn't go with what I asked for. She's very careful handling my lashes, I fell asleep the whole time. Came here for a massage because I felt very tense. I arrived at 8:05, and the massage started at a 8:10. The masseuse felt like she was in a hurry or something. Everything felt so rushed, like it raised my heart rate. The customer service was 0/5. I asked her what other massage services do you guys offer here?? She said to call the number and somebody will answer you. It is street parking and it's located next to two other massage place so parking can get tricky. It was my first time coming here for a facial. I've been browsing on yelp trying to find one where it looked comfortable and relaxing. I definitely decided to give this place a try because it's new and the reviews seemed overall very positive. I did a 60 minute facial deep cleanse to try out. It is what you expect with a facial, they clean and remove any gunks you have on your skin and then mask and moisturize. I had a really good experience, it was extremely relaxing and fell asleep many times. Only painful part was removing the blackheads but that's normal. One of the best thing is that they have appointments that go to pretty late which is great, I can still go after work. The pricing is so good for the service you receive.
