I don't live in CA anymore so when I get a chance to visit I always make it a priority to go get a head spa service each time. I've had my fair share of head spas but this one hit it out of the park!! JUDY was absolutely amazing, she gave me the best experience to date! This place is sooo clean, everyone here is sooo nice!! You have your own little room, you get to lay on a zero gravity massage chair; I literally felt like a Queen! I typically stay in OC but wouldn't mind the drive just to see Judy & experience this again! They even give you a fancy tea drink at the end! I did a lot of homework since I'm not familiar with the area, this place was the most budget friendly as of this moment. I'm so glad I gave it a try & you totally should too!! My sister in law came with me & she had Hannah, she said was amazing too! I will definitely be back! I'd make the drive every month if I still lived in OC, which says a lot because this girl hates to drive. read more

Came here this past Saturday, party of 2, for their 1 hour head spa service. We got groupons that had discounts so for us it was only $45 per person, which is totally a steal compared to locations that do similar services in NorCal. We also ended up tipping $10 per person. We booked online originally for 1pm, but they ended up cancelling our appointments and asking if we were free at 11:30am instead, which we were. My friend and I had separate treatment rooms. Pros: - the one hour was extremely relaxing, and they do the whole typical camera thing where they show you your roots and how oily they are. They also told me I probably love eating spicy food since I had some red spots hehe - Clean interior, and they're really respectful about privacy when you're changing out of your clothes - There was a body massage chair that is massaging your back the whole time, which is unique compared to other places - I loved the scalp, neck, and shoulder massage parts - it's literally the best. Even though I'm kind of sore the day after I feel much looser - They gave us free water/tea after when we left - Surprisingly not busy or difficult to find parking when we went on the weekend. - Very Chinese-friendly if you don't speak English. Perfect chance to practice using Mandarin. - Has clean bathroom and waiting area - To reschedule our appointment, they did email, text, and call, to make sure we didn't miss any communication. - Overall very professional and a positive experience Cons: - We were thankfully free to reschedule, but I can see that it could be annoying having your appointment cancelled if that was the only time you were free. read more

-Who I recommend here -Walk through of experience -Neck comfort -Parking Joyee is amazing! Ask for her :) Soooo I've been to my fair share of scalp spas and this has been the best. So clean and professional. I came alone and was serviced in a private room. First, got to see my scalp, changed into a robe and laid on the massage chair. The whole experience was amazing and relaxing. One thing I noticed that mattered to me is that at all scalp places my neck starts to ache after laying there for so long but here my neck was so comfortable. I also have A LOT of hair and Joyee was very accommodating to me. My scalp is clean and so fresh. Definitely checking them out. Also, was given a lovely little bottle of tea to go. I parked out front, it's free 2 hour street parking. Not sure where you'd park is the street is full, maybe they have a back parking lot? read more

This was my first time trying a head spa and it was a wonderful experience! The place is really clean! I booked the 60 minute service. They start off by doing an analysis of your hair with a tool that zooms in on your hair. Then they start off the service with a head/face massage, wash, steam and a thorough blow dry. I also liked the full body massage chair that you get to lay on during the treatment. The free tea after the service was nice and refreshing! They have wonderful packages and pricing! Super affordable and easy parking in the back lot. read more

This was my third time going to a headspa and I have only tried the ones in OC. When I came to this location, the interior looked nice and clean. I checked in and they walked me into a room with a body massage machine. I got a cell vitality scalp care massage. The first thing the masseuse did was check my scalp and she said it was dry and I had dandruff. Then she had me lay down on the massage machine and she turned it on. The machine was massaging my back the entire time. The masseuse was massaging my shoulders and that felt good but a little short. Then she moved on to massaging my head, lathered it and washed it. She put treatment on my head and wrapped it around for a few minutes. After she rinsed it off and we went to dry my hair. The last part was using these tools from a machine to help hair growth. They seemed like laser tools. Overall, I liked the shoulder and head massage. I didn't really care for the massage machine massaging my back because some parts actually hurt. It was an ok experience compared to other places I had been to. read more

We first did a scalp analysis, then they wash my hair with several hair treatments, exfoliate, and steam hair mask which helps penetrates deeper into the scalp. All this with massage on my head and shoulder ‍ At the end, they showed the before and after pics of my scalp. They also included a red light comb thing on my hair to kill bacteria and stimulate hair growth and put some serum. My scalp definitely feel lighter and my hair softer and shinier. Also love that the chair is a massaging chair! The 2 ladies were very friendly and explained to me what each step they are doing is for. Place is very clean with a soft instrumental music. read more

I had such a wonderful experience with Joyee and Jessica! They were both incredibly kind, professional, and attentive throughout the entire treatment. Emily, Joyee, and the korean lady was absolutely amazing! This was genuinely one of the best hair-washing experiences I've ever had. She was incredibly gentle, thorough, and attentive, and the scalp massage was really relaxing. You can tell she really takes her time and cares about making the experience special. My hair felt unbelievably clean, soft, and refreshed afterward. Emily was also so sweet and welcoming and made me feel completely comfortable. I left feeling relaxed and pampered. Nice read more

I've been to Silk Pro Head Spa twice now both times with my mom and sister and each visit has been amazing! The 1-hour head massage is incredibly relaxing and such a great way to unwind. Our most recent visit was for Mother's Day, and I had Tammy she was so friendly, welcoming, and made the experience even more enjoyable. You can really feel the care and attention they put into every detail. The space is calm and clean, and the staff make you feel right at home. A co worker recommended this place to me. I decided to give this a try because my head was hurting for days from stress and too much tension. I made an appointment and got there a bit early. They took me right away. The place was clean and made me feel comfortable right away. The private room was fancy. I got a robe to cover myself and relax. The session started with a scalp exam and you could see the condition of it on your screen. To be honest, I couldn't see the difference with before and after LOL. Anyway, the head massage felt SO good. The scalp and hair treatment felt nice. I wish there was more neck and shoulder massage though. Towards the end, the staff dried my hair and applied more treatment which I appreciated since I have dry hair. Overall, I enjoyed the experience. Not sure if it helped my scalp but at least my headache went away. I was sent off with a brush and slippers. read more

Was looking for scalp treatments in 626 area and planned to go with my friend. She had recommended Silk Pro so decided to give it a try. They have this ongoing deal for 3 treatments/ $199 and it came with a complimentary product. We got the Forrest argan oil and it has been very useful to the scalp. My friend and I decided to try the cell vitality treatment which was 90 minutes long. The person that took care of my treatment was Joyee and she was quite thorough. She first showed me a picture of my scalp before a the treatment and had mentioned that I have a lot of dry and dead dandruff. She then led me to another room and I was laid down on a massage chair that massaged my entire body the duration of the time. The first 30 minutes was her massaging my neck shoulders. Fair warning the towel was quite hot so if you're sensitive to heat like me, it was a bit overwhelming. Additionally, you need to change into a wardrobe with only your bra but the wardrobe wasnt tight enough so it kept falling, which was a bit annoying. After the 30 minutes, then came the scalp treatment. It was a mix of essential oils, scalp oxygenation, ultrasound, and light therapy. This was SUPER relaxing and I essentially fell asleep the entire time. After the treatment all ended, we were greeted with some complimentary jasmine tea. Overall, I had a really great experience and for the price paid, it was definitely worth it. The only thing I would have wanted more is while they do have a machine to analyze the scalp before and after, would have been nice if they also explained how to treat the dead skin scalp and prevent that (ex: what products to use/recommend). read more

Loved my 90 minute, Cell Vitality Scalp care, with Xia. She not only washes your and scalp with care, she gives a lovely hard massage in your neck, upper back and shoulder. She didn't speak English, but I felt like she took care of me like a daughter. I've been here a couple times, but she is my favorite. Everyone generally has been great. You get a room to yourself and they put on a star/moon light on the ceiling in a low lit room. They give you sandals and have you change your top with a wrap to prevent you getting your top wet. They show you your hair and scalp, which I always don't wash my hair for a couple days before I come in. Then you lay in massage bed and they proceed with the hair washes, steam, acupressure massages for scalp & upper body. You end with your being dried with some different instruments to have healthier hair. Then you walk out with smooth silky hair with a comb or brush and complimentary drink. Great place for a wonderful pamper! Parking easier in the back. They have one curtain room, not a fan, but I think it is meant for couples. read more

Came to try Silk Pro Head Spa after finding it on Yelp. After reading their reviews, I texted the phone number like someone wrote about, but there was no reply. I ended up calling the day before and they had appointments available for 2 people for Cell Vitality Scalp treatments. My sister and I parked in the back parking lot (it's free) and walked in through the back door. There's a small waiting area with free chips and candies. We were lead into separate rooms - for some reason I shared a double room with a stranger instead of my sister? And I got changed into the little towel top thing + slippers. They lady that helped me was Judy. She seemed really nice/friendly but didn't say much about my scalp analysis other than that my hair was oily. I feel like other places will go more in depth with the analysis but that's fine. The 90 minute included a double shampoo, hair treatment (steam), and massage. They start by massing your chest / neck area and then move to the double shampoo. They only leave the hair treatment in for not super like - it felt like only 5 minutes. And then they do one more scalp analysis to show your squeaky clean scalp and then they move on to a scalp toner, red light therapy, electric hair brush, and drying / styling your hair. I told her my hair was permed so she didn't have to style it and she added some argan oil at the end which was nice. They gave us a comb (just one for both of us) at the end. I'm trying to understand why the treatment was called Cell Vitality because it felt like a run-of-the-mill scalp treatment. Compared to M Head Spa and YangSiGuan, Silk Pro has the best price and also the best massage machines. I feel like YangSiGuan has a few more extra perks to their treatment - which is probably why it's way more expensive, and the ladies there were more friendly. I'd say Silk Pro is very comparable to M Head Spa, but my favorite in the SGV area is still Hair & Scalp Spa in Temple City. read more

I've been here twice. They have an easy online booking system. The price is very affordable and they offer free drinks in the lobby. I've done the hair growth scalp treatment and it's relaxing. They give you a robe and sandals. You get to lay on their zero gravity massage chair and you get a nice chest and upper back massage from the masseuse. I'm knocking off two stars because my hair smelled burnt after the session. The dyson dryer setting was too high and the way she styled my hair made my head look flat. I had to go home after my session to wash my hair again because the burnt smell was so bad. read more

I called in for a last minute same-day appointment and they were able to squeeze me in! You can also book online easily however calling allowed me to get a sooner time slot because I was trying to come soon. Diana was my head spa therapist, she was a very sweet lady! She didn't speak much English but we both just used our phones to translate! I had some scalp issues that I was unaware of and basically after 60 minutes - the issues were gone! lol. The experience was great - first I checked in, and the waiting room had snacks and drinks. I felt very pampered lol. Then I got a private room. They gave me slippers and a top robe wrap around thing so I began to feel right at home lol. You remove your top so that they can get really in to the neck/shoulder area for massage. Before and after the scalp treatment they show you what's going on with a camera on the screen. Then for the treatment itself they have a nice lie down chair with leg massage. I felt super relaxed and at ease after my service! They have a 50% off promo right now so definitely worth the check out. Finally, they have another parting gift besides the slippers - a hairbrush! It actually feels really nice to use lol almost like the bristles are head scratchers. Go support this business! read more

This was my second time here, the first time I had an amazing experience. My most recent visit did not live up to the expectations. The person that treated me was rough, aggressive, and rushed. I was not relaxed at all during my treatment and additionally my hair is dry because she didn't use any heat protectant before drying. I eventually realized mid way and told her to put it on and she finally did. Additionally I tried to share my experience with the front desk. I told her I wasn't too happy with my experience, she brushed it off and didn't once ask me what was the issue was or apologize or anything. But rather was more concerned about a tip. Also I didn't get a full 60 mins. I wouldn't come here again. Waste of money. read more

This is a greatly relaxing treatment I did today. I think it's highly recommendable. They really cleanse your scalp. It's the best shampoo you'll have of your life. I think I just found my newest guilty pleasure. I discovered Silk Pro Head Spa on Yelp and they were having a soft opening promotion until June 30, 2024 where their services are 50% off. Such a generous deal! I reserved an appointment through their website and it was easy to navigate. I opted for the Cell Vitality Scalp Care ($148 value, promo for $74) which is a 90 minute service. Prior to the appointment, the business called me to confirm. They have 2 entrances, I prefer the back entrance that is connected to a private lot that felt safer for my car than the busy front side that had some street parking available. When I entered the spa I was immediately greeted by Ping. She was so sweet. She welcomed me into the treatment room to change my top into a spa gown, the same one you change into when you get facials so they have access to massaging your shoulders and also so that your clothes don't get wet during treatment. We started the journey with a scalp analysis. My scalp was healthy for the most part with mild oiliness. Based on your diagnosis, they will decide on which product would be best for your scalp health throughout the treatment. Then I went over to lay on this massage bed machine that massaged my back, arms, and legs in parallel with Ping's treatment. Ping started off massaging my shoulders, neck and head with essential oils. She was AMAZING! She just knew all the right spots to work, and she had the perfect pressure. She also encouraged me to let her know if I prefer more or less pressure throughout the treatment. After that was the scalp cleansing, deep cleansing, and head massage. These were different steps but along the way it all felt like an enjoyable massage. The way she would evenly spread the shampoo and apply it in a therapeutic massage hand motion. It was soooo relaxing. I could feel myself nodding on and off from the utter relaxation. Then there was the nano hair mask steaming to deeply moisturize the hair. I could see noticeable improvement after the treatment. I thought we were done with the treatment after that step but Ping helped me up and gave me a quick neck and back massage, before welcoming me to the chair. She applied Moroccan oil and blow dried my hair. Looking good! Not done yet. There was this silk pro machine with different tools where she did a meridian massage. Followed by a serum infusion with their oxygen injection gun, and then a high frequency detox to kill all bacteria, then an ultrasonic induction with color changing properties for different benefits, and lastly we finished off with the head vitality comb. Oh and I just want to add, their attention to detail here is on point. Even the spa slippers were sooooo comfy. I feel like that's what sets apart a service from a true SPA experience like this one. Very upscale and high end quality, while being good value. Swoon!!!!! I'm so hooked on Silk Pro Head Spa. I'm thinking about going back and getting a package deal while they still have the soft opening promotions. Highly recommended. read more

Finally you can sleep , relax while they shampoo your hair. I like the chair you sit on is also a massage chair. It's 1 hour massage /shampoo and 30 minutes of drying hair and doing finishing treatment and inspection of your scalp. I booked my appointment in 2 Weeks. They massage also your neck /shoulder area . I also appreciate Carmen who never complained about how thick my hair is . I usually get that a lot from new hairdressers who shampoo and blowdry my hair . They also gave me free slippers and a comb. We had a great experience getting the 90 min head spa experience which started with a scalp, neck and shoulder massage, followed by 2 washes, a scalp steam and finally they dry your hair and apply a couple of other treatments which promote hair growth. The entire experience was fantastic and my scalp felt super clean after. The only negative was that after a couple of days my scalp started to feel really itchy with small bumps on my head. My boyfriend who got the same treatment didn't experience anything like this so I may have simply been sensitive to the treatments. Just a warning that you may get something similar depending on your scalp's reaction to the products. read more

I had never done a scalp treatment before, so I wasn't sure what to expect--but it turned out to be such a relaxing and refreshing experience. It started with a scalp analysis using a microscope, which revealed my scalp was very dry. After changing into a towel and slippers, I relaxed in a massage chair while the technician thoroughly cleansed my scalp and hair, applied various serums, and gave an amazing head, neck, and shoulder massage. At the end, they showed me the improvement in my scalp, and it looked noticeably healthier. The service was friendly and thoughtful--they even sent me off with a drink, a comb, and the slippers. I'd definitely come back! read more

I had my first scalp spa experience here because they had a sale going on. The specialist was really nice and did everything to make my experience as pleasant and comfortable as possible even if I didn't fully understand what was being done to me most of the time. As this was my first time, i don't have anywhere else to compare it to so please consider this review more of a general sharing of how I felt. The full body massage bed was super interesting. It was rolling and kneading my back repetitively for 90 minutes, squeezing my arms and legs (there are slots for your arms and legs) while my hair was washed and my scalp scrubbed. The thing about massage beds is that they just do their thing mechanically. They have zero intuition about which parts of your body need more work, and for how long. I decided after this experience that I never want to be in another massage bed. I know many people would find a scalp spa relaxing enough to sleep to but to be honest, it was weird to me and I couldn't relax for a very long time. Maybe it was the novelty of the experience. Or maybe I just don't like having my hair washed for 90 minutes... it felt like it was too much. I've had my hair washed before. Yes, it's a nice experience but this doesn't usually last for more than a few minutes! ( I can fall asleep to 90 minute foot massages though!) I also couldn't really see the difference between the Before and After close-up videos of my scalp. The specialist was lovely, but English was their second language so there wasn't much in the way of explanations and I didn't know what I was supposed to be looking at on the screen. After the long massage-bed-scalp-wash procedure, some odd devices were used on my scalp including one that generated static electricity. The names of these devices were shown to me, written down on a small sheet of paper. Then my hair was quickly blow-dried. At the end of the procedure, my hair certainly felt phenomenally CLEAN and SOFT, and I was glad to be free again out in the sunlight and fresh air. The next day I felt like I was getting sick (sore throat) and I was reminded of that myth about getting sick if you have your hair wet for too long. Well, I did NOT get sick, but to quote a friend, "Maybe the scalp massage released toxins from your system and made you feel like you were getting sick..." Maybe. Will I return in a month as recommended? Probably not. (4-star review because I can't really judge this experience objectively) read more

Silk Pro Head Spa provides the new trendy scalp cleaning, analysis, and massage. First you remove any clothing on the upper portion of your body and don the provided robe and slippers. Then you will sit on a stool for an indepth scalp analysis. It is probably a magnification of 1000x? Anyhow, you'll see you hair follicles, the scalp, and much more. Consider this the "before" picture. Next lay down and relax in the full body massage bed/chair. This is really wonderful as the calf compressions combined with the shiatsu spine massage really will de-stress your muscles. At the same time, the technician will start a facial accupressure massage and cover the hands, arms, shoulder, neck, and face. Then they will progress to a deep clean of your hair and scalp combined with massage. The scalp cleaning progresses through various stages all the while the bed/chair continues to decompress your spine. I did only booked the 60 min package so more services are offered with the 90 min service. After the 60 min, you will get another scalp analysis for the "after" picture. WOW, what a difference you will see in a glowing, clean, refreshed scalp. My technician was Ling and she is wonderful. I already booked my return visit. read more

Very clean place and easy to make an appointment. However this was basically a glorified hair wash. I have been to many head spas in the SGV and decided to get their hair restoration treatment because it sounded different than an average experience and cost more. Unfortunately I have to say that it was not worth it as all she did was wash and conditioner my hair plus some massage here and there. I was also very unimpressed by the aggressive head scratching which was way too long and became painful at one point. The water felt really hot and I think it was due to the fact that my scalp was sensitive from all that scratching. The hair drying part was not done completely and my hair was still wet. I also wish they would smooth my hair a bit or at least put a product in the ends so I don't end up leaving with frizzy hair. Lastly I have to say that I hate this type of a massage table. My legs were hanging off the edge the entire time and I was uncomfortable. Nice people and easy parking but there are better options in this area. read more

Fantastic experience! This is my first time trying a deep scalp cleansing spa and I tried their 90 minute service. My technician, Fang Fang, was exceptional. Super friendly, proactively asks me throughout the service on what I like to adjust, and her head/neck/shoulder massage was divine. I walked in with eczema prone flaky scalp and walked out with a refreshed and thoroughly cleansed scalp that would glisten under the sun. She also applied a hair deep conditioner where my hair was silky soft after she blow dried my hair. She also served me tea afterwards and offered snacks as well. The spa also gave me a free comb afterwards and let me keep the slippers and earplugs during the service. They are still running their new opening promo at $74 for 90 minutes. It is so worth it and I highly recommend to anyone wanting some pampering sessions! The spa is clean, the staff are friendly, plenty of parking in the back. Wonderful experience! read more

I am so glad I came across Van D.'s review, which put Silk Pro Head Spa on my radar and allowed me to take advantage of their soft opening promotion. They have an online website where you can sign up for a time slot; however, I recommend giving them a call because it seems like the times available online didn't match the options that they gave me over the phone. Ended up booking an appointment with my sister on a weekday afternoon. Silk Pro Head Spa is located in the former 99 Cents Store plaza - good amount of parking inside the plaza, but you can always opt for street parking if you want. There's maybe about 3-4 rooms for customers as well as a large waiting area where they had some snacks and drinks. We were quickly escorted into a room and asked to change into a gown. From there, I was given a scalp analysis then ushered to their massage chair where I got a lengthy massage while I received a massage before getting my hair cleaned several times. I wasn't too sure what they were doing - I might have dozed off because it was so comfortable. I know they also did a hair treatment where my hair became super soft after the whole procedure was done. After getting the treatment and wash, I was ushered back into a chair in front of the mirror where I was given extra hair treatment, blow out using a Dyson hair dryer, and some high frequency zapping to my scalp and some other oxygen puffing machine. Everything just felt super good and I definitely saw improvement in my hair and scalp immediately after. My sister and I both have hair that's been colored, so to feel how soft it can be - and the scent of the products in our hair smelled amazing. I can see myself coming back here every so often to do a treatment, just to maintain my scalp health. They do have packages as well if you want to take advantage. Everybody was super nice and friendly. Glad I got to experience this and take advantage of the soft opening promotion. And thanks Van D for putting it on my radar! read more

After reading Van D's comprehensive review, I booked a treatment right away. Thanks to her high commendations, I didn't have to think and booked the cell vitality scalp care. Normally it's about $150, but with the soft opening promotion going on, it was only half price so $75, with tip, closer to $100. I have to say, it's well worth your money, because from start to finish, the scalp massage and hair care was pure bliss. My hair felt silky smooth afterwards and I felt as though I could come every day if I could. You have a whole room to yourself which is nice because if you enjoy it like I did, you'd fall asleep right away. The head, neck, and shoulder massage was just the right pressure for me, and the hair treatment was just as good, if not better than what I would receive at my hair salon. Highly recommend! The only thing I'd note is that the parking situation is a tad inconvenient because there's only street parking available. Other than that, it's a 10. Thanks, Van D ;) read more
