Instead of focusing on the repair I was asking about, Dusty quickly began trying to sell us on what was presented as roughly a $20,000 whole-home electrical project. That was an enormous escalation from the issue we actually needed addressed. What concerned me most was how quickly the conversation went from "How do we fix this specific problem?" to a massive and extremely expensive electrical overhaul. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that anyone dealing with Plugz Electric get a second or even third opinion before agreeing to any major work they recommend. We ultimately had another electrician evaluate the situation, and the experience was night and day. When someone is dealing with an electrical issue especially when their power is off they are already in an incredibly vulnerable and stressful position. That is exactly when you need an electrician you feel you can trust to clearly explain what is actually necessary, what is optional, and why. I did not feel that way whatsoever with Plugz Electric. I would not hire this company again, and I would not recommend them to friends or family. Get another opinion before spending thousands of dollars based on their recommendation.
