I like that CVS is within walking distance from my office downtown, a hop skip, and a jump for all my essentials, be it a snack, birthday card, or prescription. Another bonus is the weekly coupons that are available for the taking. The store is small compared to other locations but the right size for the downtown area. However, BIG when it comes to staff and delivering great customer service, whether greeting customers upon entry or asking if any help is needed while shopping throughout the store and at checkout. The food selection is of a good variety no matter the need, whether drinks, snacks, frozen food, OTC medicines, and much much more. read more

The manager Rob was awesome!!!!!!!!! I had called the store looking to see if a specific oral care product was in stock. Not only did he confirm the item's availability, he even offered to have the product ready for me up at the registers since I mentioned being in a rush! The staff at the downtown CVS was excellent! I was in search for a seasonal item that is very much in demand. After visiting 3 of my local South Tampa CVS locations & even trying to place an in store pickup but was denied, I called the downtown CVS. Rob so kindly pickup the phone promptly which is a first. He said there was only one left of the speciality item left. He said he couldn't hold it for me but thought if I can asap, there was a high probability it would be there. Luckily it was. Rosa rang me up effortlessly. Both associates were kind & helpful to me & all the guests before me. The service at most convenience store are either lack luster or down right rude. Smaller CVS because it's urban, they have most of the usual stuff that CVS tends to have including over-the-counter medicines, personal care items and snacks/drinks. Plus a bunch of the things you'll need for a day at the beach including floppy hats, sunscreen and beach towels. Because even though you're deep in downtown Tampa, you might be staying at one of the nearby hotels and headed to the sand! read more

(8.21.21 @ 9:15 pm) I was visiting from out of town and needed a few essentials. While I was in the store the cashiers (2 Caucasian ladies) were watching stand up comedy very loudly with a tonne of profanity which I thought was totally inappropriate. As I approached the register one of the ladies blocked a patron from entering the store while accusing her of "trespassing" even though she insisted she was only trying to buy something. It was extremely distasteful the way she dealt with the patron, she was discriminating against this African American lady and even laughed after she scurried her out. Need less to say I left my cart and proceeded to Walgreens, the store was messy and half empty anyways. read more

This CVS location is TINY - like 1/3 the size of what I'm used to CVS being. That said, it's a convenient thing to have nearby if you work or are staying downtown. Despite the small size, they appear to have the essentials. There's definitely not huge selections of items and the overall store is cramped and kind of dingy. Still, when your hotel wants to charge you like $6 for a 12-oz bottle of water, CVS will fix you up with 2 giant bottles of Evian for less than $4. read more

It's a typical CVS except that they have liquor. Even though they have signs posted that they don't give cash back with debit sales, they still gave me cash back. The workers are friendly, it's a little smaller and tighter than CVSs that are farther out from the central business district. It's really the only game in town right around the downtown hotels for snacks, beverages, cheap umbrellas and the sorts of liquids you can't take on an airplane anymore. Agree with all the negative reviews for this store. Just bought Christmas cards (from their photo shop) which remains unmanned. No envelops. Was told to go buy some. Who offers Christmas cards without envelops. Staff was unhelpful, just hanging out in the front appearing not wanting be bothered. read more

This CVS Pharmacy has no pharmacy, as in they cannot fill prescriptions. It's basically a convenience store with rude cashiers and overpriced soft drinks. read more

A special thank you to pharmacy manager Kaliope Tsirogiannis for helping us manage a problem with a prescription. We are from out of town and my spouse got pretty sick. A trip to Urgent Care resulted in an Rx for something that was not readily available at any surrounding pharmacy. Today I went to CVS to purchase gift wrapping items and a case of beer. First, the store smelled strongly of body odor and mildew. Second, upon checking out the cashier Amanda, was very rude and disrespectful when asking for identification. When price was asked about because it was on sale we were not prompted for our CVS reward information but instead with the cashier rolling her eyes and angrily canceling the transaction and agitatedly waiting for us to enter phone numbers. As a local resident and someone who frequents this location I can sincerely say that I will no longer be a patron if this is the customer service I receive. We were not rude or impatient so I'm unsure of what prompted the cashiers behavior. read more

We stopped in to purchase a couple of items 2 days ago. My wife asked the cashier to explain how an advertised $5 discount on hand cream would be applied to our purchase. The cashier was very patronizing and unprofessional. We strongly suspect this person is bigoted toward Asian Americans. We will never return to this store again. read more

For anyone who gives this place a bad rating, remember this: It is the only NORMAL retail store in the whole downtown area. Their prices fall right in line with all other CVS's which is a great thing. I'll ask you this: Where else are going to get intermediate supplies in downtown Tampa? Where else can you get a soda for less than a buck/buck and a half? Exactly. CVS is the only reliable thing that the dumphole known as Downtown Tampa has. They get 5 stars all day from me. This was more than sufficient! I was able to find healthy snacks (raw almonds, dried fruit, water, etc.), travel personal items, and there was a LOT to choose from. Clean store, safe area, and normal CVS prices. Only 4/5 stars bc the checkout lady was talking nonstop to her boyfriend while ringing up the entire line of people lol. We live in the area, and every time we have tried to come to this location it is always closed. Today is Black Friday at 4:30 in the afternoon. . . And closed. We love CVS but the inconsistencies of this store definitely tarnish the brand! read more

This CVS is very randomly placed in downtown Tampa area but we were happy to find it. Because of the building that it's in, the store has lowish ceilings and semi-cramped space inside. It's not as neat and tidy as other CVS's I'm used to and the aisles are tougher to navigate. Luckily, we found what we were looking for, although my friend had to ask for assistance with locating their beach towels. One would think they'd be in the Seasonal Items area with all the coolers/cover-ups/floaties/bathing suits & such...nope. read more
