Let me let y'all in on a little secret. This CVS has THE BEST greetings cards in spanish. Like, anytime a relative gets a card from me that comes from this CVS, they are so touched they are in tears. They really have beautiful cards en espanol for all occasions: birthdays, Mother's Day, Christmas... I've shopped around other stores, but this card section in Spanish is the best I've found in Houston. So para mi gente que están buscando cartas for that hard-to-please comadre, suegra, etc., go to this CVS y Mas. (Yes, that's Spanglish) You're welcome! P.S. They also have some good Mexican snacks, candies, prayer candles, lotions, etc. Stuff you can't really find at Wal-Mart. Well, unless you go to the Wally on Wayside. Worst pharmacy employees. Rude all the time, like they don't like their job, rolling their eyes, sighing, annoyed if you ask questions. And forget about them greeting you or cracking a smile. I stopped going to this CVS. I'd rather drive over to Walgreens or miles away to another pharmacy. This location never opens on time. I'm sitting in the parking lot right now and there are 3 other cars waiting. It's 7:11 and the store hours are 7am to midnight. Every other time I've been here at 7 am (at least five other times) it has opened at least a few minutes late as well. read more

This is a newer CVS that was built a few years ago. Generally they only have one cashier running the front register. At times this can result in a 5 - 10 minute wait to check out. I go in expecting this and I am rarely disappointed. The pharmacy closes before the main store closes. The pharmacy closes at 10:00 PM on weekdays, and 6:00 PM on weekends They recently added a Red Box DVD rental kiosk. They have a ExtraCare membership program that gives rewards and discounts. Membership is free. If you forget your membership card, ask the cashier to enter your phone number in place of swiping your card. If you don't ask them to enter it, they generally don't take the extra effort to ask you for phone number. read more

On MLK 2018 holiday, I visited this CVS location to drop off three VHS tapes to be transferred to DVD. This is a service CVS claims they do within 3 weeks per their website. I spoke with Maggie and Josh at this location and placed my $61.97 order. On February 16 I returned asking for the status. Ashley and Mauricio could not provide me with a status. I then phoned the 3rd party "Kodak" and they could not find my order. I then returned and asked Mauricio for the UPS tracking number. He could not find it, and realized my order had been sitting on their cluttered countertop for over a month. Thanks to Josh and Maggie, my order had collected dust just by sitting there for over a month. This is unacceptable. I then asked Mauricio for the store manager to phone me. After waiting three days and no phone call, I phoned Jaime who never received my message and did not know about this situation. It appears this store's communication is broken. I then asked if my tapes were shipped and he was finally able to offer me a UPS tracking number. I am awaiting a phone call from their District Manager as this needs to be addressed. Make sure to get names of the CVS staff at this location if you are conducting business. Let's see if their District Manager phones me back because if they do not, CVS will lose a long time customer. read more

I was sold expired and rancid Nexxus conditioner. It had a terrible smell to it and a texture that made my hair feel sticky, but by the time I used it I had already thrown out my receipt. I called the store beforehand to let them know what happened and the man on the phone told me they would be able to issue me a refund since I had the card I bought it with. Even tho this was a far drive from home, I made it because Nexxus conditioner is pricey. I get there to return it and the man at the register said they could offer me a refund in the form of a gift card (that can only be used on certain items). When I told him that the man on the phone gave me different information, he didn't offer an apology. I didn't get an apology period. So considering I don't trust CVS, i'd rather not get a "gift card" so I went to check out the other Nexxus conditioners to see if I could exchange but they all smelled rancid as well. read more

Oh gosh, what do you say about a CVS? They're all kind of the same, aren't they? I personally prefer Walgreen's, but I mostly visit drugstores out of convenience and not due to company loyalty. This particular CVS did not have what I was looking for (a confirmation card). But they did have old Reese's cups (I discovered they were old once I got them home) and a man asking for money at the door. All in all, I won't be going out of my way to return to this CVS. read more

This pharmacy has attempted to STEAL $200 dollars from me... and that's just what I've caught. They have refused to run my insurance that had covered my prescriptions at 100%. I paid $100 dollars that they had to refund when I asked my insurance for an explanation of benefits. Today, they tried to steal another $100 the same way. On Thursday they refused to fill my medication the same day (despite saying it would be done within an hour, several times). That sent me to the emergency room with a nearly deadly medical emergency. This comes a year after they put my life and my unborn child's life in danger. They would only fill half of my pain medication that was prescribed after I severed my leg while pregnant. The insurance company and my surgeon both contacted them directly. While waiting, my unborn child's heart rate dropped due to my severe pain. I was hospitalized and put on bed rest due to it. This pharmacy is playing with peoples lives. Don't let you or your family be the victim. read more

I really love this Cvs. It's located near the metro rail which makes it very easy to access. Not only that but it's close to downtown and in the heart of Second Ward. I'm so glad that I chose this location as my pharmacy because the staff is friendly and they are always helpful when it comes to educating me about my medications and informing me of different methods to improve my overall satisfaction. read more

The store is fine but the pharmacy is a nightmare!! Takes 3-5 hrs to get your prescription filled! When you ask questions they get an attitude & become rude. Unfortunately this is the only pharmacy in the area. This is not the first time this has happened so If you have a car then drive to the next neighborhood and drop it off there!! read more
