I had called the pharmacy first and they stuck by the price and said I had a price increase. I called the insurance company and the one med still had a zero cost and the other was overcharged by $4.03. It's not a lot of money, but when you add up $9.93 or more here and there, from many people, it can add up to a lot of extra money for Wegmans. This isn't the first time that this has happened to my husband and me. Many seniors don't question their bill amount and they just pay it. I'm not trying to put Wegmans down, I just want to make people aware, not only seniors to ask if the pricing doesn't seem right. Call your insurance company if you have already paid for the meds, to get a refund of the difference. Don't be afraid to speak up. It's your money that you're saving.

It was a Saturday and the pharmacy was the only place that could do it for me. They charged me 5 dollars for 5 copies, I vowed that I would never go there again. Fast forward 6 years later honeybrook pharmacy closed and Ben the pharmacist is working there I was told so I would go there as Ben was exceptionally good at his job.after my wife and I went to our doctors we had all our scripts sent there.we called on Tuesday afternoon and spoke to someone who sounded like they were halfdead.waited forever on hold and finally found our scripts. I asked them to order the meds and I would be in the following day to pick them up. But they wouldn't order them until I gave them all my insurance info. Unfortunately I couldn't find it right then but didn't want another day to pass without ordering the meds, Between my wife and myself we spend around 5 thousand dollars on meds yearly and that doesn't count what my insurance pays. Needless to say one phone call to the pharmacy we are currently using and the meds were ordered and I had them the next day. I also found out that Ben doesn't work there anymore. My point is I tried to keep my business local and instead of just ordering the meds and worrying about insurance info later they refused to do anything. Acme Sav-on has been on our list of preferred providers for local pharmacies every time (along with other local pharmacies). We have opted to stay with them each time we have changed. They are so helpful, cooperative, and respond in a timely fashion. It's like the old hometown pharmacy but at the grocery store. Five stars all the way.
