They can do passport photos here, but check for days and times. Staff are polite and helpful. During the recent Covid surge, they ran out of Covid tests completely, but pharmacy staff were able to say exactly when they would be restocked (next day!), and the next day I returned to find plentiful BinaxNOW tests--exactly what I wanted. I have had no bad experiences in this store. Parking is easy, location convenient. NOTE: my brother had cold symptoms for a full week in August 2024 before his Covid test turned positive. He tested on days #1 and #5, negative. Then on days #7 and #10 of symptoms he finally turned positive! He used another brand of test, not BinaxNOW. If you have cold symptoms during a surge, probably best to assume you have Covid! read more

Sadly, this CVS is awful. Mess in each aisle. Can't find any staff to help, and if you do, they don't know anything. The photo station is a joke. Real crap, but that is almost to be expected (although I would argue if you can't do it right, don't offer it at all). But the worst is the Pharmacy. You can stand at the pickup station for 10 minutes before anyone even looks up and acknowledges you. To be fair, they tend to be distracted by training new staff. The turnover is crazy. Never the same staff twice. You get texts saying your prescription is ready and the staff do not know how to find it. I have had better service at a cvs in an impoverished neighborhood, which this one is not. I need to keep using cvs as I live on both west and east coast. Otherwise, I would give all my prescriptions to Osco down the street. They have had the same awesome staff for years, with average turnover rate. Avoid this CvS store. In fact, just close it. read more

The pharmasist was realy helpful. I came in for a consultation on a medication and he came out from behind the counter and found a over-the -counter medication for me where I did not have to deal with a perscrption. He knew exactly what he was looking for and made a comment that he knew what he was looking for was in the store. It was just a matter of finding it for me. read more

They've installed self-checkout now, but it is weirdly glitchy and sometimes just won't work at all.

This CVS just opened in East Watertown at the intersection of Arlington Street and Route 16, as the third full CVS store in Watertown. While there are two other CVS locations in Watertown, this is the only actual decent store in my opinion. While the location in the center of town is fine and 24 hours, it's old and not nearly as spacious as this one, and the one on Watertown Street is always out of anything I'm actually looking for (and then I have to decide to suffice for a different brand of something or something else, or just decide to go somewhere else, which is always egregious either way). So, this one is the pharmacy to use for Watertown residents... it's huge, spacious and extremely organized. Lots of staff working, and between the front and back sets of registers there is enough staff to accompany any line. Busy customer base here (surprising for such a new store), and the selection is wide in general. I was finally able to get everything I was looking for, and more. The coupon machine is brand new and more technologically advanced than every other CVS I've been too (and I've been to a lot). It's so easy to use and the coupons print fast and scan correctly to (if you frequently go to other CVS stores you know what I'm talking about, those old redbox machines are so annoying!). Store is spacious, bright, open, and setup well. Good for snacks, health and beauty items, pharmacy items, seasonal items and more. Staff are friendly and parking is plentiful in the back of the store. One suggestion, bring your own plastic bags. The Town of Watertown banned them (so annoying!), so bring some extras so you don't have to bother with those annoying paper ones (save the plastic, just to waste more trees on paper bags, literally no point). 5 stars for this new CVS. The best of the three in Watertown (open 7-10 daily, by the way). read more

Manager departed last week. No Manager hired. No full time pharmacists. GUY WHO TOOK MY CALL TO TRANSFER ALL MY SCRIPTS FROM AN INCREDIBLY DYSFUNCTIONAL WALGREENS WHERE THEY ALSO HAD NOBODY THERE, ADMITTED " I'M JUST A FLOATER. I DON'T KNOW WHO'S GOING TO WORK HERE." I waited 15 monutes until he answered the call, began giving him all my script information to transfer to their location after speaking with a "tech" last week who told me nothing about their ghost-town" of a pharmacy, and then he placed me on HOLD agin for nearly 45 minutes! The ONLY way I got back through to that FLOATER was to call the "Store Manager"---- BTW, There wasn't one!---- a Supervisor, who said he would get him, on HOLD AGAIN for another 20 minutes. CALLED BACK. Demanded that Supervisor get "Grant". Grant get s ont eh ohone like he did nothing out of the ordinary while i , infuriated, stated " i've been on HOLD NOW FOR OVER AN HOUR ! WHAT were you thinking! I'm trasnferring ALL my scrupts here?" And he said, without any apology " I had 5 people in line and I'm the ONLY ONE HERE.".Then, he , in a coy and smarmy way said " I told you I was a floater" HE HAD NOT!. i asked him " Why didn't you tell me what a mess this pharamacy is from the outset? I asked if you were the pharmacist, and you said "'Yes'". " Well, I AM a pharmacist; I'm just not regular staff here.They'll probably hire a temporary pharmacy manager at some point." Me:"How long have you been there?How many days?" Floater" I don't know." Me: "You don't know how many days you've been 'Floating' there? How were you going to get all my scripts transferred & the one med for my disability ordered in time?" Floater: "Well, I was gonna try to do it today, and if I couldn't then I wouldn't". Me : "Today is July 5th, a holiday.Why didn't you tell me there's no pharmacy manager at all and no regular fulltime staff there!" Floater " YOU DIDN'T ASK!" Me: " How would i know to ask! I'm not PSYCHIC." Floater:" I told you: You didn't ASK. Have a NICE DAY!" THEN HE PLACED ME ON THAT CRAZY MAKING HOLD MUSIC AGAIN. Now, if you want a Floater like that in charge f your essential scripts and a pharmacy with no Manager and NO FULLTIME STAFF; and you;re PSYCHIC enough to ASK " DOES ANYONE QUALIFIED ACTUALLY WORK THERTE FULLTIME?" then you're a better man than I , GUNGA DIN. Have had several very bad experiences with the pharmacy, especially with regards to the Covid vaccine.

I use this cvs for my pharmacy and they are WONDERFUL. They're all so helpful and so kind. The pharmacist Bich was so happy for me when I had a coupon that brought my prescription from $150 to $0!! In the past they've also applied coupons I didn't even ask for to help with my costs. My past experiences at other pharmacies weren't the best so I'm happy to know when I need to refill my prescriptions every month I'll be taken care of. read more

Let me preface this by saying that I love the pharmacy at this CVS! The store is nice, new, and organized. However, the staff not associated with the pharmacy leaves a lot to be desired. Twice I have ordered pictures for next day pick up. Because there is no associate manning the photo counter, I had to ask at the front registers for help. The first time (a few months ago), the woman flat out said she was busy and couldn't get them for me. She did not offer any help in any way. Luckily, there was another associate right next to her, that kind of rolled his eyes at her, and was nice enough to drop what he was doing to help me. Yesterday I ordered another set of pictures. I hesitated ordering them to this pharmacy because of my last experience, but I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt. I went this morning to pick up my pictures, there was no one standing in line. It was 7:30am, so there was really no one in the store. I notified the man at the front checkout that I was there to pick up some pictures I ordered. He said he couldn't help me because his manager was busy receiving deliveries. He could have offered to grab the manager away from deliveries for the two minutes it would take him to walk over to the photo area and hand me my pictures. Instead, he repeatedly said there was nothing he could do right now and he didn't know how long his manager would be busy with deliveries. This was the last straw. I will not use this store for anything other than the pharmacy in the future. The employees are rude and unhelpful. Go to the Belmont CVS instead - the store is better and the employees are much nicer! read more
