The pharmacy here is horrible. The pharmacists are always extremely rude. I have encountered maybe three nice pharmacists here over the many years I have been going here. I went here today with a coupon that made my single use prescription $30.00 instead of $70.00. I gave the woman the coupon and she put in all the information through the system (which took a while) and then came back to tell me that I could not use the coupon because it wasn't the same prescription. Well, she didn't think to look at the name of the prescription on the coupon to match it to the one I was picking up before entering in all the information, because if she did she would have realized to use the coupon on the opposite side (there was a coupon on each side.) When I told her that it was on the other side she rolled her eyes, gave me a horrible look and stormed off to another male pharmacist working and asked him to do it... since she was "soooo" bothered. I eventually got my prescription for the price of $30.00 after having the situation handled so horribly by the pharmacists. I use Express Scripts and have my prescriptions mailed to my house, so I very rarely pick them up. I will definitely have my doctor send them to another pharmacy after this incident. I have had many horrible experiences here and this was the final straw. They will definitely be losing my business. read more

I've never been impressed with this CVS, but have gone to it because it's close to my house (glutton for punishment?). There is no space at the front of the store for cashier line(s) - they typically form down the candy aisles, and people awkwardly negotiate who will be next at whatever register. There have been times when prescriptions are ready in 10 minutes, but the line to retrieve them can take an extra 30 minutes. This location has always been this way. read more

The Pharmacy is absolutely the worst. Go to the Walgreens or Rite-Aid down the street...even Safeway is better. There is always a line and it's the same people re-queuing in line because the 7 people working back there can't fill the prescription for the 6 people waiting 1+ hours in the store. There are clearly people in pain or invalid waiting around and they have no consideration to fill their orders in the time that they set. One of them can't even speak English, can't spell well enough to type in drop-off orders. Avoid avoid avoid!!!! Save yourself some time and drive a little further...it will save you some time in the end. They clearly have NOOO customer service skills...how they have repeat customers is beyond me. read more

30 years ago, this pharmacy was wonderful. Today, horrendous. The staff are incredibly rude and almost angry.

This five stars is for the Minute Clinic! I have been here a couple of times and love it. It is a great place to go if you have a minor problem, medical questions, or need to get a shot. I guess I went during there slow time because I have only had to wait for five minutes. And if they think you need anything from CVS they will come out into the store and help you find it. It is great! Bye bye doctor office waiting rooms. But be aware of the rude pharmacists.... read more

Did everyone take their happy pills today? On my lunch break I decided I needed to go to CVS to pick up some icy hot, tiger balm-ish muscle pain reliever thingys. I pulled a muscle in my lower back and so I came this CVS location to get what I needed and get out. Bummer, everyone else in Vienna was there on their break too. I saw the line dwindle far into an aisle and sighed thinking to myself I should have picked a better time with less people traffic to get what I need. But before I could finish that thought I was at the register. Really? Anyways I get up there and have my CVS bucks so my tiger balm patches were free! Hooray. That wasn't the best part of my experience here.... the kind cashier asks me if the patches were for me and I told him yes. When he was finished ringing me up he told me to wait and he would give me something that worked better. So I stood to the side for about 5 seconds and he comes back out from the back and gives me one of his personal patches from Vietnam. This gesture was just too kind considering he was using them too for his neck and shoulders AND it was his last one. Interaction with people like this makes me happy. Not scripted, not on a customer here to service you basis, but just plain and simple, conversation and kindness. It did help that everyone there was competent and very fast. I was in and out in no time, stopped to pick up lunch and back at the office in a little less pain and before in under 20 mins. Awesome CVS location with a great staff. read more

Stay away from this place unless you want to wait for hours or days to et your prescription filled. Totally understaffed and disorganized - you wait for 30 minutes in line only to be told it isn't ready. I have never seen such poor execution in a pharmacy. read more

Like all the other reviews of this CVS, don't go here. It's amateur at best. If you have your doctor fill a prescription here in my experience there's a 50/50 chance you'll ever see it. The place is a disorganized chaotic mess behind the counter. The pharmacists and technicians are unhelpful and unwilling to go the extra mile to even research any problems. There are a zillion better run pharmacies in the area, even other CVS's. This one is more frustrating than its worth. read more

Like Christine R. says in her review, I come here for my happy pills! I get any prescriptions I need here as well as any medical stuff, allergy medicine for the gf, and the occasional card for an event. I've never had a problem with anything. The employees are friendly enough, the lines are never too long, and the pharmacy does a great job of filling your prescriptions quickly. Plus, they'll automatically txt you on your phone when it's ready for pickup. Very convenient. Oh yeah, and if you need to wait 15-20 min for your prescription, the Giant next door (http://www.yelp.com/biz/giant-food-vienna-2) is a great place to pick up some groceries while you wait. read more

AVOID this pharmacy at all costs! This is the absolute worst operated pharmacy that I have ever experienced and it appears to be getting worse. For the past several months, they have been calling me to tell me my prescriptions had expired. When I called my physicians to ask for renewals, they explained that I had at least 9 to 12 months remaining on both prescriptions. When I called the pharmacy back, they acknowledged that they made mistakes. Today, for the third time, I tried to pick up a prescription which they have been holding now for 10 days. I have the same insurance company but a new card. First time, I was in the wrong line. Second time, they took down my information but asked me to wait for another 15 minutes. Third time - I gave up and told them I would NEVER be in this pharmacy again. I immediately called the Tyson's Corner pharmacy and they said - "let us take care of this for you". The Vienna store isn't trained to solve problems but to simply place you in a holding pen, hoping someone else has to deal with you. When I took my complaints to management, the Assistant Manager was a simpleton. She didn't offer to look into the complaint or to try to address the pharmacy's incompetence. The nurse practitioners in the Minute Clinic were absolutely amazing! They were more knowledgeable and both had a better bedside manner than any doctor I've ever come across. They were both incredibly helpful and a complete delight. Their concern and caliber of care is unrivaled by even my long-time physician. It's often the case that the nurses in hospitals and doctors' offices do most of the work and get very little recognition... these two FNPs went even above and beyong that! read more

Cvs minute clinic is run by a bunch of ding-dongs. This place is terrible. (Specifically the minute clinic.). After dealing for hours with a location in DC where I waited 90 minutes past my pre-reserved time, I tried again at this location near my house. Because of a glitch on their end, where a confirmation email was not sent, but I was also unable to hold another place in line because of an existing active hold, I was told to wait an additional hour past my reserved time. For the second time in a single day. Bringing my total waiting time to 6 hours between the 2 locations As expected, customer service was less than helpful and the practitioner/ nurse was unsympathetic, unprofessional and rude, insisting that I must have made a mistake. I don't know why I was surprised by any of this. Bottom line, just go to a regular practice or urgent care because this place can't even get organized for a strep test. read more

Went in tonight to pick up my prescription, which is on auto refill. I had been alerted to it a week ago, but was busy and had enough for a week. The pharmacy had "returned my prescription to stock," and it wouldn't be able to provide it again for four days. In the meantime, I'm out and the pharmacist not only didn't offer to advance me 4 pills 'til Monday (they have none in stock?), but he suggested that I go to Oakton or McLean to get the prescription filled sooner. He didn't offer to call them to find out whether they had what I needed in stock. The only reason I go to this CVS is because my prescription coverage provides the greatest discount here, and I'll tell you, you get what you pay for. I really dislike this store and its pharmacy. For all other pharmacy needs, I go to Walgreens or Vienna Rexall. Nice stores, nice people, and I love the Rexall pharmacy especially. read more

I see where a prior reviewer said "Do not expect service here. Well said. This is the WORST pharmacy I've ever had to deal with anywhere, and in my military career I lived in a lot of places. I needed to speak to a pharmacist yesterday and was on hold for 20 minutes. I hung up, called back, and got an apology and was only on hold for 3 minutes. There is NO visible supervision, apparently no training, and no apparent concern for customer satisfaction. it amazes me that they survive in a neighborhood that is nicer than many. I will be transferring ALL my pharmacy business to Rite Aid or another CVS, even if it is a longer drive. These guys deserve a ZERO rating! read more

Every time I get there, I run into a problem receiving my medicine. The faxes sent in my presence from the doctors office do not come to this pharmacy. Some kind of black hole for messages and faxes. There's no communication between the shifts. My doctor called them on Friday to approve my medicine while I had my appointment with him, the next day I went to get my medicine and the pharmacist tells me that no one called. Every time I try to get my medicine, I have to call my doctor because "no one called" or "we did not get the fax". read more

This pharmacy is the absolute worst. Each time I go in to get a prescription, there is an 'issue' - either they have lost it, say they have not received it from the doctor's office (later confirmed that they had) or tried to give me the wrong medication. There is never any inkling of an apology when they are in the wrong and the waits at the counter which is consistently under-staffed are lengthy. As the other poster stated, with a new Walgreens in Vienna, I have switched all of my prescriptions over there. There is no reason to accept poor service with another pharmacy less than a block away. read more

Wow, I did not think that there would be so many Yelpers agreeing that this is by far the worst pharmacy in the world. My experience was pretty bad though so I might as well share. My insurance covers the cost of my prescriptions at CVS but they only allow me a refill every 90 days, and I have to be almost out before they will refill the prescription. So last week I had my hypertension meds refilled, I took them home and counted them as usual (because the people who work at CVS just seem incompetent). I counted out 77 pills and 1 of them was completely crushed. I took the meds back the following day and explained to the pharmacist what happened. I waited about 20 minutes before I get the meds back, completely filled. The problem then was that they offered no explanation, no apology, nothing. I don't expect much, but in this case, common courtesy was due because I was not rude or demanding, I just wanted my meds made right and I had to drive there an back twice which took at least 90 minutes out of my otherwise busy day. A little "sorry for the inconvenience, Mam" would have been fine , but no, I got nothing but a smug look. read more

Pharmacy is an absolute shit hole the wait here is always outrageous. they told me the wait time was 10 minutes ended up being 45 and they ended up screwing on five out of seven medications. They gave me someone else's. The pills that they sent me home with could have killed me. I went back to the correct this mistake the pharmacist would not even come to the counter they just gave me the correct meds. I use Walmart now. Check all your prescriptions! read more

I don't really write reviews often but I must write one for this one. I am just sad that I don't know the NP's name but she has short blonde hair. She is just incredible. I visited this place for the first time in April when I had an urgent condition and somebody recommended that I go here. After my first visit, I was so excited to find a place where I could get a prescription on the same day in no time. The NP that I saw in April and also today is just awesome. She listens well, jokes with me and explains fully. When I went there, I was able to see her within 10 minutes. Thank goodness for minute clinic. Otherwise I would've had to wait another two days to see my primary physician. They also accept my insurance so I only pay $35 co-pay. You can also pay with credit card inside of the NP's office. read more

Got my prescription from the minute clinic which was fine, when i got to the pharmacy it was 1130 am they told me to leave me prescription sheet with them because their computer was down and to come back later in the afternoon or in the evening. I came back the next day at 5pm. Now they can't find my prescription or my my sheet. How incompetent are these people? read more

We have a love hate relationship with this store- ok, mostly hate. It is the closest CVS to us with a minute clinic. Thanks to other pharmacies nearby, we can now escape the torture of the incompetent pharmacy staff for our medicines. The store staff is just as bad and have lead us astray many many times in respect to the ONLY reason we go here- the minute clinic. The minute clinic staff is the only reason it gets an additional star but the bumbling staff, disorganized mess and general chaos is a reason to just avoid this place. We had our last incompetent run in today and will be driving a wee bit more to another minute clinic since the MC staff cannot overcome the rest. read more

I've stuck it out at this one so far because of the location and the discount from my health insurance, but I'm done with them. Last night pharmacist tried blaming other CVS pharmacy that was out of the needed medication and then me for them not having the information about my prescription and showed no willingness to do anything other than play the blame game. Always a bad a idea to blame the customer and other people in your company. And of course didn't get what I needed. Not sure if I'm done with CVS generally or just the Vienna one.
