I've been staying and looking after my elderly parents for the past 3 months due to the COViD-19 Pandemic, and thus have been frequenting their local CVS several times a month for their prescription refills etc. The store itself is the standard box retail pharmacy/store... and honestly most things are overpriced... unless you stack up the CVS bucks/care coupons. My experience with the staff in the pharmacy has been nothing short of wonderful. They have been very helpful and polite every time I've gone in. Several of them have asked how my parents are doing, as they are regulars in there, which shows me hat there is a level of community and concern from the staff. They have also been proactive about reaching out to get refills approved from the doctors office for the ongoing prescriptions. On my last visit the staff at the front check out ensured I didn't miss out on free offer item after picking up refills for their first aid kit, and she actually went the aisle herself to find me the offer item. read more

Came here to buy Sudafed because having severe allergy issues. It's 1:37 pm. Can't buy it because the register can't sell it. Apparently you have to purchase at the pharmacy because of their policy. However, the pharmacist decided to close and take their lunch so they are closed until 2 pm. What a joke! What kind of a pharmacy closes mid-day to have lunch???? CVS sucks big time. read more

Only went here because I had to fill a prescription that was supposed to be filled at another location but was out of stock. Pharmacy staff seemed very unhappy to be there. No greeting when I got to pick-up counter. Pharmacist was having a conversation about her sick time with another employee...Not paying attention to handing me medication, in which she did not ask me if I had any questions about. Since our local Rite Aid closed recently, they recommended the CVS off of Plano Trabuco in RSM. There's no drive through (which I prefer), since Ive been to the one off of Antonio and this store has much better service, friendly staff, and merchandise choices. The one off Antonio was always so busy and had to wait a long time on hold for Pharmists. I'm very happy with their individual care and consultations. I hope this one stays open! read more

If you don't want to get discriminated and profiled and not white don't go to that store. Employees follow you around watch you like a hawk instead of doing their jobs. This CVS and the one on Santa Margarita Pkwy/Margarite are the only CVS's that discriminate and racially profile their customers. They do it in your face with fake customer service, following you around the store, and when you're already in front of the self checkout they yell across the store and offer to check out on their register. I think I just might bring a hidden camera and share the video to the world so everyone can see how they racially profile and discriminate people. read more

This was by far my favorite pharmacy but now I've been screamed at and cursed by staff there just because my medication for my back pain is schedule II. AWFUL SERVICE!! NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN!! I would give 0 stars if i could!!! Me and my boyfriend were looking at makeup as presents for christmas and a worker with black glasses, brown hair looking about 35-40 approaches me already asking aggressively "do you need help finding anything?" I said no thank u and kept looking at makeup until i found a lipgloss that was A $1.50!!!! My boyfriend holds it in his hand and walks away from me trying to hide it from me so it's a surprise and this god awful stock boy said "Put it back!" at least 7 times before my boyfriend said "Dude i'm going to buy this calm down, why couldn't u have just said it after she was gone?" Mind u my bf was STARING AT THE GUY MAKING A HUSH FACE!! The worker then goes and says "i get a notification from the cameras telling me when it cannot see an item!" and says that many times and we keep saying we weren't even stealing! I personally was very upset and loudly told him "You have 3 cameras and TWO EYES and u STILL couldn't see we weren't stealing." And he goes on fighting us creating a scene. My bf and i had enough and he said to the worker "thanks you just ruined the surprise, now i cant even buy it anymore." We walked out infuriated about the disrespect and he did not even APOLOGIZE TO US FOR THE ACCUSATION!! CVS even has a no confront and no chase policy for people who were ACTUALLY STEALING REGARDLESS, so he broke so many policies trying to probe he was right! Went in after getting a toe infection from the nearby "Polish nail salon" in the same strip mall. I was really upset because my big toe was painfully infected and injured from that horrible dirty pedicure and they refused to even refund the botched pedicure and told me to take them to court. I had purchased bandages and Neosporn and left them behind in the CVS from being so upset. Anyhow, went back for the stuff i had left behind and I was really reassured by both the manager and the checker that they understood my pain, the manger replaced my forgotten items and even recommended soaking in Epson salt, she was very kind and so was the young male checker, much more EMPATHY then the nail salon who injured my toe!!!!!!!!!! read more

I get a feeling there's a very toxic working environment, perhaps bad management. It also seems like they are busy with administrative tasks and when a customer comes in they feel burdened and interrupted. Some of them are condescending and some are just short. If you go in and conduct your business without paying attention to their attitudes you are in and out without issues, you just have to have thick skin and remember that you are there temporarily while they are there all day. read more

Anthony, the store director, called me on Monday. I truly believe he took my complaint serious. I believe that he understood my concerns and addressed them with Charlene, the pharmacist. The bottom line...Charlene, the pharmacist, should have treated me the same way she would want her parents, husband, or child treated. I believe that she would been just as upset if a pharmacist treated her family member the way she treated me. I came into the pharmacy on Monday, March 29th to pick up a prescription. Charlene, the pharmacist, was there and made eye contact with me. This was a golden opportunity for her to apologize for her lack of empathy and customer service. I would have been very impressed if she did this, and I would have removed my previous post. She completely ignored me. I thought, "Oh well, it is impossible to teach people to care about others and to do the right thing." I will continue to shop and obtain my prescriptions at CVS. Why should my family leave after 28 years because of the actions of one person (Charlene)? Danielle the manager oppressed my sister and I at CVS on Plano Trabuco in Trabuco Canyon (a.k.a: Rancho Santa Margarita) on March 6, 2024 at 9:15pm. Danielle the manager implied through her actions that my sister and I were stealing when in actuality we were roaming the store for essential products and shopping. As we were nearing the end of our shopping Danielle the manager tried taking our hand held basket full of items from us to be held in the front. We wanted to look around a little more and we declined her offer of bring our basket to the front because we felt more comfortable carrying our basket ourselves. Danielle the manager persisted that she take the basket to be held in the front and we verbally told Danielle the manager several times that we can carry our basket on our own. Danielle the manager ignored our verbal and reasonable response and took the basket out of my sisters hands after we repeatedly told her no. After, we went to the front and asked Danielle the manager for our basket back that she held behind the counter. She then proceeded to not let us purchase our items at self checkout on our own without her assistance. She said that self checkout actually means assisted checkout and she would conduct the transaction for us. We were not comfortable with her offer of helping us with self checkout since we are adults that can do it ourselves. Although this did not stop her as she forced us to have her process our transaction even though we declined her service. We as customers have done nothing wrong. We walked in to this store to shop and get essential items at this location. There was no right for her to heavily watch us as we shopped. Due to how we looked she intentionally followed us around the store and caused us emotional harm and distress through her horrible and unprofessional interaction with us. Danielle the manager threatened to call the police on us because we stood up for ourselves for the prejudice we experienced by her. We have grown up going to this CVS location and have been loyal customer throughout many years. I have never experienced such disrespect from a manger ever. Danielle the manager at this store is ill-mannered and oppressive of peoples images. I would watch out for this woman and how she treats others. read more

Everyone who doesn't work in the pharmacy is awesome! However, everyone that works in the pharmacy looks so miserable and majority of the time are rude. it's amazing. I'm shocked to see the same people working in the pharmacy every time I go in. The red head, her name escapes me, has to be the rudest of them all, even when I've greeted her countless times with a smile. Although I would love to thank the manager who helped me. CVS at 21572 Plano Trabuco Road Trabuco Canyon, CA I us ed this pharmacy to print pictures for the first time. They charge $0.25 per 4x6 print instead of Costco's $0.11 per 4x6 print. It gets expensive especially when I have hundreds to print. Cost aside, the 1st two front checkout ladies were wonderful. Then on the third day, I returned to print more. The manager (Kevin) at the checkout tried to get me to buy the CVS CARE card which I already have. I told him I have been going to CVS for my prescriptions and other items. He insisted that I do not have it and does not show on the computer. Next time I went to another CVS store at RSM. When I was paying for my purchases, I asked if it shows that I have the CVS CARE card. Positive! The manager at Plano Trabuco was disgusting! He trying to get a CVS CARE card sale on me. PS. The manager has his mask below his mouth (not covering his nose and mouth, talking to his staff at the counter. He walks around and was coughing. read more

So my friend and I wanted to print some pictures for my other friends birthday, so when we Enter the store everything was good until this lady that works there gave us a really really weird vibe so we ignored it so we walk around to the makeup then she ask us if we need any help. We politely said no then she gave us a face like okay then walk away,she kept on following us and I told my friend let's just print out the pictures so we go and she kept on following until one the customers needed help so yeah that's my story what's yours. Open daily from 7am to 10pm, which is odd for a CVS. Not sure why it isn't 24/7 like most other ones, but I just go to Rite-Aid a little more down the street. Yep, the one with three security guards armed to the teeth, ready for the great beer run of the century, or for Winona Ryder to walk in after an Oxy binge. A few pluses for me. Chase ATM right as you walk in, so I don't have to play the "cash back" game by buying a pack of gum in exchange for $5.00, and there is a Lotto machine right next to the ATM so as to show you that your money can truly go full-circle, within a matter of seconds. It's like "Trials of Life" but my bank account is the little seal that is getting tossed in the air by the orca. read more

It is a big drugstore that's kind of dreary, although the fluorescent lights are always at full burn. I tend pick up random items here whenever I'm in the complex and always find something worthwhile; Tide Ultra Stain Release for 50% off with my ExtraCare card this time around. Perhaps some batteries or maybe Vitamin C on my next visit... Spacious, organized, clean, and a very helpful manager who stopped in his tracks to ring up laundry detergent and a few energy drinks. Three stars though, and only because there happened to be prohibited and uncouth acts happening outside in the parking lot mixed with a real lack of muzak inside the store. read more

I use CVS pharmacy as required by my insurance. Otherwise I use mail order for my prescriptions. I am a pharmacist, but have not worked retail pharmacy for ages. Believe me when I say that working retail pharmacy is the hardest pharmacy gig on the planet. I do not have any ties to CVS, in fact if I could choose, I would take my business to an independent pharmacy. Anyhow, I think CVS did themselves a favor when the older Asian pharmacist left, he could barely speak or understand English!!! I specifically asked him if the pediatrician had overdosed my child on Augmentin - he checked the dose and told me "NO". I went home, checked the dose myself, and guess what??? It was double the correct dose!!! That double dose of an antibiotic would have caused a disastrous diaper. This incident happened years ago, but I could not believe the blatant error of that one pharmacist, probably due to a lack of English skills. (I also couldn't believe that the pediatrician made that dosing error on something as common as Augmentin!) Brandt (I think that is his name) runs the show. He is an older pharmacy tech with a beard, he usually does the prescription intake. He is very helpful and efficient. After working with many pharmacy techs, I can tell you just by looking at him that he is the right hand man there at CVS, he is their 'anchor' tech. He has caught a couple errors that the pediatrician has phoned in. A neurologist prescribed Maxalt ODT (orally dissolving tablet) for my son's migraines. My son vomits with his migraines, so we need the ODT. When the pediatrician prescribed it, they prescribed a Maxalt tablet (not ODT) and it was filled. When Brandt was handing it to me he caught the error before I pointed it out, and within a few minutes he had the doctor change it to the right dosage form. If you want something done, and you want something done right, ask him to do it, and stay on his good side! There is a newer Asian woman pharmacist who is very helpful and knowledgeable. The older tech that you pick up your prescription from is also very friendly and efficient. I only go to CVS for prescriptions, otherwise their cashiers up front are a little slow and their prices are high. I am going to give CVS a 4-star based on my recent experiences, I am overlooking the first incident b/c it happened so long ago and that pharmacist no longer works there. Overall, I believe they do a pretty good job pharmacy wise. read more

This has got to be one of the worst pharmacies to get a prescription filled! This place is close to home so it's convenient but there can be 3 people waiting in line to pick up a prescription and it literally can take an hour! This afternoon I dropped a prescription off at 4:30 and they said it would be 20 minute wait. I said I would be back in a couple hours. Came back at 6:45 and now they say it's a 15 minute wait. Best pharmacy I've ever used. Never any issues. They are always fast, never having any issue having an Rx ready while you wait (15-20 mins max). They have been extremely helpful when mixing meds for my son to try to make them more palatable. Very compassionate and caring. I would like to chalk it up to Trabuco Canyon having that small town feel, but I think it's just a caring, comptetent bunch who work here. The rest of the store is well-operated and has great employees as well. And bravo to CVS for not selling cigarettes anymore! read more

Don't get your photos developed here. I brought 4 disposable cameras to get developed here all at once and when I came 3 weeks later to get an update because I never got a call, they told me they seemed to have lost it in the mail. This is the pharmacy local to me that I have been using and have filled numerous prescriptions. Last night I had a serious trip to urgent care and needed medication asap. They sent the script here after looking at the website stating the pharmacy was open till 10pm. WRONG...they close at 8pm. So I deal without my medication till returning the next morning at 8am cuz again that's what the website indicates, and WRONG AGAIN..... they don't open till 9am and the clerks excuse was "it's not my job to update the website" unhappy customer, time to seek out other options. read more

I have been using the CVS on Plano Trabuco for some time now. My daughter as ADHD and is on Vyvanse. I literally go here pretty much every month with a physical Prescription ( since this is a stimulate and can not be called in). On Friday- my daughter had ran out of medicine. I had to drive to my doctors office on Saturday( last minute!)- pick up a prescription . So today, Sunday- I go to CVS ( I have the SAME Pharmacist help me- I forget her name, but shes Asian and fairly young). I GO here ALL the time! She says.. because the date, looks like it was written by the nurse and NOT the doctor - she couldn't fill it!!!!! I say , but the doctor signed it- she even agrees , yes the doctor signed BUT the date - seemed to be written by nurse... and doctor must sign and fill in the date!( mind you date said 8-4-18). She says I gotta go back to Mission Viejo and get another prescription- where doc writes the date! How inconvenient! She had no customer service- when she sees me all the darn time- she could have filled it! My doctor has gone 2 days without her medicine! I go down the street to RITE AID in RSM, fill it and was ready in 15 minutes!! Thanks to RITE AID my daughter got her medicine. read more

When I got to the pharmacy, they weren't really paying attention to me, in fact, the pharmacy tech and the pharmacist were gossiping the whole time. When they looked up the medicine in the system, they said it was sent to another CVS pharmacy on Antonio. I thought that was weird because we never go there. I go to the Antonio CVS pharmacy and they say there's nothing in their system for the medication and that the medication was actually in this first CVS pharmacy. According to the antonio CVS, this isn't the first time this has happened to this pharmacy. Very frustrating. read more

I was supposed to get 100 ml of Antibiotic dose and fell short of 10 ml which is 2 doses . This is ridiculous and unacceptable . Had to request the doctor for a refill due to the shortage on my babies dosage .How could someone make such huge errors in filling prescription medications .+|- 1 ml is still acceptable . Also one of the most pharmacist is in such a rush and just breezes through explanation without even confirming if the other person understood the dosage or not . Not happy with the Pharmacy here . They do need a lot of improvement and based on most reviews high time to pull up your socks . read more
