Does the pharmacy ever answer the phone? Would be nice to ask a question prior to going to pharmacy and have to wait.

My medicine is 99% always ready when it says it's going to be. Only one time it wasn't because they had to order it. They ran out so I had to wait an extra two days. read more

Abysmal service! Phones are rarely answered, or when reached, personnel claim the system was out and not working due to high volume! What kind of garbage is that? Then fix the phones! Even when the phones do work, you can still be bounced from one person to endless irritating music and being cutoff, as opposed to transferred to the pharmacist. The so-called drive-through path was so poorly designed that even a small car is bound to scrape the concrete medians or brick wall area. Nothing is easy in this dangerous store! In fact, when we came to pick up medications once pre-Covid, the pharmacist apparently could not speak a word of English, and relied on a game boy or other device with a language translator! The prescription was resultantly processed at the wrong dosage. Nearly any pharmacy is better than this horrid hell-hole. read more

CVS, Suffern, NY has had a major problem thar has existed for decades. They will not answer their telephone. Down through the years I have contacted the regional and local representatives to discuss this matter. I suggested that they place a recording on their phone that says," we do not answer our phone. " Unfortunately, they have no interest in resolving this matter. I have been physically present in their store and observed the phone ringing and it is ignored by all the staff. read more

I would like to give this CVS the highest recommendation. They fill my usual prescriptions, give me my Covid Vaccine, and Flu Shot with much concern. I've called late at night to fill a prescription or ask a question, and the pharmacist is always in! I would give 0 stars if I could. They had a gentleman outside seemingly monitoring the amount of people inside at one time due to covid-19. I was at the pharmacy when they told me 10-15 minutes. 20 minutes went by and I asked how much longer when he said another 10-15 because he forgot about me. I know he forgot about me because I heard him say my name to the Pharmacist the second time so he clearly didn't the first time. Then while waiting a family of 3 came to the counter for ONE of them to pick up medication. He should have left his wife and child in the car while he went in alone but that's none of my business. Why would the man outside let them in. The man picking up his prescription flat out said he is getting over covid-19 like symptoms and I wouldn't be surprised if he had it. CVS Pharmacy - Drugstores Near Me - Suffern, New York

The service here is the worst! Expect to wait a minimum of 30 to 50 minutes on hold if you call. I waited 32 minutes and was disconnected. I had to drive to the store to get assistance. I then used the drive through and waited for someone to acknowledge me. The pharmacist finally attended to me and was upset that I wasn't patient because he was attending to more important matters. I noticed that the staff is very good at ignoring customers. I have had it at this point. I will transfer all my family's prescriptions to another pharmacy. This place is too stressful. read more

CVS in Suffern has hold times for the pharmacy that are ridiculous! 28 - 50 minutes when you call and still no one picks up. I have literally lost the charge on my landline several times and have to call the store manager to take a message for the pharmacist. Brian always says oh they are busy no matter if you call 8 in the morning or 10 at night. Hire more people if you are that busy. read more

The pharmacist denied me Plan B emergency contraceptive!!!! This is illegal and unethical. At first she didn't know what the drug was...she seriously went to pharmacy school??? Then got aggressive with me, said I needed a prescription for it, that they didn't have it, and asked me for all of my personal information out loud in front of people. I pulled up the state/federal laws on my phone - in New York it is over the counter, no age limitations, pharmacist cannot withhold from me for moral reasons - and she still wouldn't give it to me. Even if you had moral objections, just say it to my face, instead of wasting 30 minutes of my time and energy, so I can go elsewhere. This woman needs to be fired and have her license taken away immediately. How can you be a pharmacist who doesn't know what levonorgestrel is and has broken the law by denying me basic medical care??? Unbelievable. Horrendous CVS. Probably the worst I've ever seen. Big ad in the Sunday paper- lots of "print in store" coupons. I get to the store, and the printer is down. No one knows how to change the paper. So I lose out on deals, and potential other coupons. At checkout I am overcharged $3 for a coffee maker and I do not get my $8 in extra bucks. CVS is a total scam. I called ahead from the hospital to make sure my insurance was covered. I walked through a snow storm to get to the place to find out that it actually wasn't covered. Unfortunately I have few options where I am right now and had to just pay for it. I don't recommend using this place unless absolutely necessary. read more

I walk in to get a flu shot, I am greeted by a smiling woman, who quickly takes my information, process my request. I wait, I get my shot. Done. I have a huge beef with CVS. The staff is always pleasant and nice and being open 24/7 can't be beat. BUT- I have repeatedly asked not to be on the auto refill programs for medications. I initially got off the auto refill as I thought it was too aggressive- automatically doing refills with a fair amount of time to go until I actually needed the refill. Staff was pleasant in taking me off auto refill but that only lasts a month or two and boom- they are doing auto refills again. I have to ask easily 3 or 4 times a year to remove me from the auto refill list. I even took this up to corporate once. Did that help? I was offended by how I was treated by the pharmacist just because I take unusual medication for my lupus and the women made me feel like some sort of criminal. I've been battling lupus for 6 years and instead of being treated with dignity I felt humiliated by the way the pharmacist was talking at me. Never using this pharmacy again. read more

Worst place EVER. The only saving grace is that it's 24 hour so if you need something filled, it's open. They NEVER have it ready when they say they do. The lines are always long and it's just managed horribly. Walgreens is so much better. My poor dog before he died a few months ago was given a prescription from the vet for CVS to fill out. Okay, ready for this, hubby dropped off prescription and when we went to pick it up it wasn't ready. They said they needed to fill out a client profile. WTF, really? If that's not bad enough, weeks after his passing I get a text message from the pharmacy that if I'd like a refill please call to refill. I just don't get this. This pharmacy is horrible! Dropped off an RX at 2:00... they said 45 minutes. After going home and resting after an exhausting hospital visit, I returned at 5:00... only to be told it'd be another 30 minutes. This isn't the first time this has happened. This is the worst pharmacy I've ever been to. Save yourself the trouble and DO NOT use this pharmacy. There are 5 people behind the counter, and the line is always out the door because of how slow they are. On multiple occasions they have over charged me for co pays and were not able to refund me. Many times they've even forgot about my prescriptions, they will have it ready and just never notify me. read more

My doctor prescribed 3 eye drops for my surgery, 2 fr before and 1 for after. when i picked them up on 8/5 i only received 2. now, AFTER my surgery i find out that they never gave me one of the drops that i was suppose to have before surgery. i called tonight and was left on hold by the pharmacy for 17 minutes. i had to hang up and get the store manager to get a pharmacist on the phone. i was told by jennifer that the 3 rd prescription needed a preauthorization. i asked why i was not told that when i picked up the others and she said it would not show to the cashier. she said there was no phone number on file. i asked why the doctor was not called like they had in the past and she had no answer for me. this unacceptable event is standard practice for this pharmacy. i have been texted that prescription were ready only to stand there for 20 minutes because they were "misfiled" and they had to go through bin after bin to find them. they are very polite but very inefficient and a danger read more

This place is a joke! I have had the absolute worst eperiences here. Everytime I fill a prescription they tell me 10 to 15 minutes and then a half hour to an hour later still not filled. I have had my doctors office call ahead and still never ready I aways get "it will be another 10 minutes" how is that possible when it was called in 2 hours before? Tonight was the last time Iwill ever step foot in this pharmacy again. I dropped a prescription off at 2:00 p.m.and aksed when i needed it I told them in n hour. I went back at 6:00 p.m. and i get "not ready it will be another 10 minutes"!! there is always a long line and never ending complaints from custoomers over the same thing, THANK GOD NO ONE WAS WAITING FOR AN ANTIVENON FOR A SNAKE BITE! horrible experience I would give them a negative starr if I could...the pharmacist complain to me three times that I brought too many prescriptions. When I went back to pick up the medications I was told everything was in the bag only to get home and find out there was stuff missing. When I call CVS corporate to complain initially someone was supposed to call me back but no one ever did. Two weeks later I called corporate again and I got a call back from them and all they did was give me the basic run around..they even asked me if I was looking for money which I laughed at because I'm not.. rather than reprimanding their staff they just brush stuff aside. .. if the local Walgreens carry all the prescriptions that I needed I would rather go there...
