I have a Major Complaint with one of your Stations. It is located at 390 Rt 17 N
Mahwah, NJ 07430. The so called "Manager" of this station is Dreadful, a complete liability to your station. We and our family and friends have been using this station for years and spend hundreds of dollars there.
Last night Sept. 6th around 10pm we stopped to get gas, like we do every week. We spent $75.00 dollars worth mind you, and were treated so badly by the attendant who said he was the "manager" that we will never go back and we are telling all our friends and family to do the same.
We have a large RV and pulled up to the diesel pump. The attendant "who identified himself as the manager" starts pumping our gas. Just as we were nearing the end of our pump, another car drove around us and pulled right in front of us to the next pump. The CUSTOMER got out and started pumping his own gas, he must have been a friend of the "manager", to be allowed to pump his own gas. (I have been told that allowing the customer to pump his own gas is ILLEGAL in the state of NJ and the Station could be fined severely for it)
we finished getting gas and paid. We were waiting patiently for the guy in front to finish, when the attendant came over and said "would move up so i can pump the guy behind you" my husband moved the rv up as close to the car in front and shut off the engine. The attendant then came over and said "No! I want you to go around the car in front and pull out" my husband replied, " the guy in front is almost finished pumping, Ill just wait for him to finish". Well that set the attendant off and he started yelling at my husband " I told you to move!" my husband replied "as soon as the guy is finished!". the attendant yelled "I am the manager and I told you to move, so go around!" well it turned into a yelling match between them. The guy in front of us (who I think was the attendants friend and pumping his own gas) got involved. He started yelling at my husband to go around and let the man (the attendant) conduct his business, insulting my husband, saying he must be a lousy driver if he couldnt maneuver around his car, etc. ( meanwhile the his car had finished pumping and was just sitting there).
For the next 10 minutes they yelled at each other back and forth. All that customer had to do is to pay for his gas and move, but he didnt, he and the attendant continued to fight with my husband. well the attendant told the customer to stay where he was and he called the police. when the police got there they were angry at the attendant for calling them over this stupid argument. Needless to say the police told the customer to go on his way and we then moved and left. But it was 1/2 hour before all was finished.
In this economy, What a way to treat a customer! That attendant got his money from us and wanted to scoot us out so he could pump another customer, not caring how rude he was being to us. After all he already had our money! The funny thing was the other side of the diesel pump was empty and the customer he wanted us to move for, could have easily gone around to the other side to be pumped.
I dont know if these stations are independently owned or franchised from you, but this manager is definitely a liability to your organization. I looked online for other reviews/complaints of this station and I am sad to say there are many. I think this is something you definitely need to investigate. Either way your company has lost a loyal customer and after this story spreads to my family and friends that live in the area, many more. read more
