An employee sees both me and an older man in the drug aisle, looking clueless. She is standing right behind me, so of course when she asks "Do you need help?" I think she's speaking to me, but when I turn around to accept, I see she isn't talking to *me*, she's talking ABOVE me to the man in the middle of the aisle. :) Of course, why would she bother to ask *me* if I needed help when I'm right in front of her? Terrible pharmacy there always seem to be an issue with their computer system with refills. Also they are closed at lunch time with no signs. It's very unprofessional. The employees are unprofessional, rude, weird and nasty. Four years ago there were wonderful people working there. Today, they are horrible. The whole staff changed for the worse. I purchased nail polish yesterday and when I asked if I could return, the employee said yes. Today they refused and told me this store doesn't take returns on Cosmetics to go find another cvs to take it back to and that the guy I spoke to was a new hire. It was despicable. The manager refused to get a higher up supervisor for me. He said she would be in a meeting for over an hour. Liars. Even the security guard was awful. Without saying much, he doesn't do his job. I've received several calls about my prescription today from some moron named Tony, I returned the calls only to be placed on hold for 20 minutes at a time. So of course I hung up an hour later Tony calls again, I pick up. I don't know who this tony thinks he is but he's incredibly nasty. He said that they were going to return my prescriptions, I told him I have 8 days to pick them up..what's the rush? He then informs me that unfortunately the CVS in my neighborhood closed. I told him no one informed me of that- he then cuts me off after I ask him if I can have my prescriptions delivered. And told me we can't deliver to Manhattan. I don't live in Manhattan anymore it's an old address. I gave him my new information, and he then tells me I have to pick it up cause "You're outside our delivery area". Ok fine, he then informs me that because I take meds for anxiety I can't have it transferred to their location "You have to call your doctor so we can transfer it. Ok thank you asshole. He has the audacity to call me sexist names, and a pill head. And I'm the one who has to see your face every month for my meds? No thank you bitch. I'm telling my doctor to transfer it to rite aid, I've never ever had an issue with CVS in Manhattan but since we're in a sleepy suburb of Staten Island they must not give a shit. read more

My friend is sick and currently needed something from the pharmacy and I was able to get it. Would recommend this store to anyone;however the prices are a little high, but the convenience makes up for that. read more

This trash accumulation is unacceptable. It's not the first time either. You would think in today's situation of maintaining cleanliness, a manager would make sure this is taken care of. Especially a pharmacy. As I was walking by and saw this mess. I decided to go and ask to speak to the manager (5/16/2020 midday). She didn't seem too helpful nor the least bit sympathetic to my concern and request. She blamed it on the "situation" and that the night crew does it, and that with all the cars it can't be done. That it's busy, no staff and blah blah blah. Sounded like a lot of hog wash to me. With this pandemic CVS lot is not as busy as it use to be, especially the parking lot. It doesn't take much to send someone to clean it. The parking lot for the most part was fairly decent, with the exception of some gloves and other rubbish strewn around. Many houses backyard is adjacent to this lot. Namely this section in particular is my yard behind this fence. This only brings rodents, and any other animals to gather here and gaining access to my yard. Not to mention all the trash flying around, cvs receipts, bags and what have you. Let's not forget the cat lady who comes over at night to bring food for the cats. Don't get me wrong, I love animals and have 2 cats of my own. But when you are contributing to this mess, it's just so wrong on so many levels. You have the men that gather in that corner several times a week in the morning. It's there ritual. The people who come from Alphonso's Bakery to park there. You have the jeweler which is closed now and makes that corner his private parking, where it clearly is blocked off for cars there. But who knows, he's probably the one who maintains that corner, but the business is closed. This may explain the mess. Come on though, this is unacceptable!!! If Costco can run a seamless operation with their carts, cleaninng, and keeping up with maintenance why can't you CVS on Victory Blvd keep your lot clean??? This is an ongoing problem. And tell your managers they should address people's concerns with professionalism and do something, tell corporate, do something. Pretty big pharmacy has everything from nail polish, medications, foods, drinks, cards for special occasions or just because and lots more. Express self checkouts which I enjoy. But doesn't work on overnights. You can print out your own coupons by just giving your cvs phone number you have it under. Santander ATM machine inside. This is a huge CVS with a 24 hour pharmacy. Back in the late 80s/early 90s it used to be a Sav-on or Safeway...and then it got bought by CVS. I'm glad they retained the 24 hr pharmacy though - comes in handy in cases of emergency. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. You can find pretty much anything you could possibly want in a drugstore, convenience store, plus other random things like storage bins, lawn chairs, etc. I love CVS! read more

This is the absolute worst pharmacy on SI. This pharmacy lacks competent staff. Shame on CVS for running lean. They are unorganized and do not follow up with patients. My prescription was taking days and I need it to survive. I chased, called and realized they messed up the refill amount. 4 pills per day were not covered. No one called me, told me. Shame on this place. They billed the wrong insurance. That was a fiasco I had to call and speak to my previous insurer. Go to a mom and pop. I regret ever having gone here. I've had a lot good experiences coming to this CVS over the course of many years... Unfortunately, tonight my experience was not good at all. I was trying to purchase gift cards for Christmas and there was a problem at the register so the gentlemen had to call over a woman named JODY for assistance being that she's a manager. This is when the trouble started. Her behavior was disgusting. She was cold and rude! She just didn't want to be bothered. She looked so annoyed that she even had to be dealing with this situation at all! When she was explaining the store policy on gift cards, I was confused about something she was saying and when I questioned her about it she lost her patience and got so snippy and said "I've already told you and I'm not gonna say it again- I will refuse this gift card from you!". She continued to tell me how I'm going to have to play by the rules as if I was some type of a scammer/criminal. I was really shocked by how abruptly she was speaking to me, it was very unprofessional, especially since I was calm and collected the whole time. Not once did I ever display any hostility to evoke such behavior. Anyway, after treating me like a piece of garbage she went on her merry way totally carefree. She didn't even offer me a bag for the items I did end up purchasing. Every word written in this review is the truth. This individual is bad for business as I had to go to Walgreens to purchase the gift cards I needed afterwards. CVS, you guys can do better then hiring employees like her. Pharmacy here is terrible, always a long wait, they don't call Dr. Or Ins company when there is an issue you just won't get your meds, they are so slow the pharmacy line is always 20 deep, do yourself a favor switch to Forest or Richmond av, even if you live in the parking lot and have to walk to the next CVS it will still be faster!!!! The pharmacy is awful. A RX was put in electronically by the Dr. When I called cvs to find out if it was filled, it said processing. An hour later, cvs still said processing only to find out at 12:30am the medication is on backorder for 3 more days. They can't even transfer the damn Rx to another cvs. The Dr has to put it in again. Instead of calling me or the Dr to say it's on backorder, I had to find out on my own. I agree with most of the reviews that are posted. While the store is big and has a good selection of items, with very decent sales -- the Pharmacy Dept. is the worst! I've had so many issues with them that don't even include the long lines and the long waits for prescriptions to be filled and the rude people who work there. I have actually gone elsewhere for my prescriptions and, subsequently, taken most of my other business away from them too. I've argued with them until I wanted to scream that my doctor DID phone in a prescription (I had the doctor's office on hold) to be told no he did not. But, oh wait, after checking with a manager, and checking some more, guess what -- the prescription WAS phoned in. Did that make them fill it right away? Silly wabbit - of course not. Had to wait and wait and wait. And did that make anyone apologize to me because they were wrong and wasted my time? As if. My brother and I went 1/2 hour after he was released from the hospital to drop off numerous prescriptions. He works for the City. Well there was some issue with his plan (or so they said) and he would have to pay full price for his meds. His HEART meds which he needed ASAP. They wasted 1/2 an hour of our time on this ridiculousness. Then we waited an hour for the prescriptions. Paid a fortune because they said none were in his plan. Guess what????? When he went in to work and spoke to the City's Benefits Dept. ALL the prescriptions were in his plan with minimal co-pays. This is a great store, it's actually really pleasant to shop here! The only problem is that during the day, the parking lot is packed and really hard to navigate. Sometimes people double or even triple park in front of the store or the exit lane and it can be a challenge. Open 24 hours, and there are really friendly employees who are willing to help at any time. The pharmacy can be a little slow with filling prescriptions during the day when it's busy, but normally the wait isn't long and they'll send an automated voice phone call to you to let you know when your medications are ready. This location has everything you need, from house items, toiletries, food, drinks, holiday decorations, cards, school/office supplies, you name it they got it. The self-checkout is really convenient, they've definitely worked out the problems with the machines and there's always an employee there to help in case you need it. read more

I send my digital photos to this Cvs photo at 3 o clock. It told me they would be ready in an hour, but that I would also get notification. Three hours later, without notification, I get there. They tell me, without checking, that my photos are most likely not ready. They keep me waiting, give me some different, weird explanations, but no apology. After 25 minutes I get informed that I made a mistake when sending the photos to them (even they get my name and info up) and that I'll have to go home and retry. Still with no apology. I told them I had a screenshot of the order promise me to be ready in an hour, but they still claimed it was my fault. read more

This is the store that is in my neighborhood and it used to be so much better. Never have meds I need and more than once I placed an online order for meds so I can just pick up only to go several days later to find out that despite the web page saying that the order went through that it did not go through and I then have to stand on line and wait to reorder them and then be told that they wont take waiters after 8 PM. Parking lot is a free for all with people who are NOT handicapped taking handicapped spots especially in bad weather. They will double park illegally as to not have to walk. Often out of things I want like Caffeine Free Diet soda (coke or Pepsi Baby Powder and chocolate. I had a very bad experience that told me so much as to how inefficient and non-caring the CVS Pharmacy Dept is run. I made 10 calls from out of state for a prescription delivery for my mother on Staten Island. This spanned over 4 days as they don't do delivers over the weekend and that was understandable however we desperately needed the prescription delivered on Monday. I woke up 6am PST to assure a Monday delivery in Staten Island, NY for my mother. Every time I got through to the Pharmacy dept, they would hang up on connection and this happened 4 times and after over one hour of trying to get through. With my persistence, I finally spoke to 3 different pharmacists that said my mom's script was out for delivery. My calls went from 9 am EST and 4 calls before the truck left at 2 pm EST and 3 calls afterwards. The night Pharmacist that I spoke to last said it was never out for delivery. I don't like spending a day to no avail and don't like be lied to. I will never give CVS another $$ as they don't deserve my business. read more

I have to say I really don't like this CVS, it's always too busy and backed up with orders. Management doesn't seem to be doing a good job about getting the people in and out. I sometimes order a prescription an hour ahead to give them a chance to get it ready and sure enough they never have the order ready. I know people say to go somewhere else, but I work weird hours and this is the only 24 hour CVS by me. Why not Walgreen? I find that their generic medication is not as good as CVS. The girls at the counter are amazing because they have to deal with people who stand on line for hours who get very iriatated with the wait. My favorite is Jessica, one day I was waiting on line, I get to the cashier, and my order wasn't ready. Well I ended up waiting about an additional 25 minutes, she showed up and gave everyone her personal attention. She resolved everyones issue and made us all feel good by the time we left the store. I have been to a number of CVS outlets on Staten Island, and this one is best-in-class. The employees are professional and energetic, and they deserve credit for the neat and well-organized character of the store. It stocks a wide range of items in every category. Shop in the late evening or the overnight to avoid the crowds and a packed parking lot. I always shop in the late evening and the night, and the staff has always been super. I've shopped here for years for anything and everything from grocery items to apparel to holiday decorations -- you name it, there's a little bit of everything, as well as useful items that you may not have even known about. While there have been too many pharmacy outlets popping up on Staten Island and elsewhere -- which displaces smaller businesses and saturates the market -- this particular store location has been around since before that proliferation became an issue. It is the granddaddy of CVS stores on the North Shore of the borough. As noted by Diana N. above, the building has a long history as a site of 24-hour pharmacy outlet stores and before that as a supermarket. read more
