I don't want to tell too much about my medications so I will just say my doctor prescribe a pill called Substance X. My doctor advised that I would start taking Substance X and stop taking the red pill. When I went to the pharmacy, the pharmacist wanted to talk to me. They had noticed I was taking the green pill and wanted to know if I was going to keep taking it. I was tempted to say blue pill for this third medication but that would have conjured much different image. I told the pharmacist that I was told to start Substance X and stop the red pill but I was told nothing about changes to the green pill. The pharmacist explained that Substance X contained the green pill so I should stop taking bother the red and green pills if I was going to take Substance X. I did contact my doctor just to make sure and they did confirm that I should stop taking the red and green pills. If it wasn't for the pharmacist noticing this issue and taking the time to explain this to me then I might have been doubling my dose of Green Pill.

The more important thing: the staff that work here: they're quick, knowledgeable, diligent, and have been incredibly ideal from the get go. The brains of this operation is Maily Vo, the lead pharmacist. She provides outstanding service and is not about wasting anyone's time. This place fills prescriptions within the same hour / day and they're so good about explaining how to utilize the drugs / devices. Despite crowds forming often here (#2), I'm really only here for a few minutes at a time due to their efficient work. The pharm techs that work here are also fabulous and friendly. Also, it's been a breeze scheduling shots here. I managed to score a flu shot as well as a COVID booster after scheduling everything online. The process went off without a hitch and I would do it again here in a heartbeat. No one likes being sick, but I always look forward to copping some serious drugs from here. I nearly dropped when I heard the $50+ price, but their confidence in the product led me to try it. It's worked miracles for me, and I've told so many others that I've lost count. A few weeks later they solved another problem for me with a special formulation of magnesium prescribed by my doctor in a lower dose than I could find elsewhere (including Whole Foods Market). It was just what the doctor had ordered, and I didn't have to split pills and worry if I should have. And, to think I almost didn't go here because I'd sized them up as an overpriced, small town shop. You can pay less, and you can guess at what you need at the big box stores, but there is a value in knowledge and service. As far as pricing goes, I've actually priced the identical products at a holistic pharmacy chain in Austin and found I would've wasted the dollar or so savings in gas alone. Although I don't have any experience with their pharmacy, I understand they compound prescriptions. Last time I tried doing that with their three letter competitor, I got lost in the shuffle somewhere in San Antonio and wound up waiting 5 days for my medication. (This is a co-owned sister to the B&J Pharmacy in San Marcos, so if you're closer to that location, you can feel confident that you'll find the same products and get the same great service as at Wimberley.)

Went to Walgreens and found them for 9.99 for 3, only found one pack but bought them. Naturally I ran out in 3 days, checked back and still out. I did a few days with pads and ACE type adhesive bandage a pain in the neck. Checked again still out. Went to CVS to see what they had. Well, they had the same thing except it said CVS not Walgreens but had 5 pads for 9.99. 66% more product for the same money. Got home, opened one up and, yep, same product. Only 2/3 more of it for the same money. CVS got a new customer. I wondered why Walgreen was closing over 1000 stores. I have an idea now. Ron
