While I had a very hard time getting through to the pharmacy today I decided to go by in person to give it one last shot to get my wife's prescription transferred. Thankfully I did and was given the opportunity to speak with the pharmacist named Stephanie who was a pleasure to speak with and the WORLDS BIGGEST HELP. She started by saying she was sorry but wanted to find a solution. This is exactly what she did she stopped what she was doing to help me as she could tell I truly need the assistance to get this done. This is what true customer service is and every employee anywhere should take a page from her on how to be there for people when they need it. This review is only about the store, not the pharmacy. This store sells everything you need for a great trip to LBI. Toiletries, snacks, drinks, sunblock, beach chairs, magazines, books. An easy walk from hotels or houses. You don't have to worry about forgetting anything because you can pick it up at this CVS. read more

The pharmacy department at this CVS has the rudest, nastiest and least professional pharmacists that I've ever met in my entire life. CVS should consider firing all of them and just starting from scratch. People's wellness (and often lives) depend upon access to their meds, and the people controlling that access shouldn't be downright mean. These employees might want to rethink the field they've chosen, since it's supposed to be about helping people and keeping them well. read more

This is the worst CVS. They refuse to fill scripts as the physicians prescribes on multiple occasions. It is very frustrating speaking with them. If you have the option of going to a different pharmacy, do it. read more

CVS is great as long as you are not trying to fill any pain medication. My doctor ok'd a prescription because I just had surgery and needed extra but the pharmacist "did not feel comfortable" filling my prescription. Even with a doctor's OK they choose to be the Pharmacy Police. I will be transferring all of my prescriptions elsewhere. I don't know what world they live in where Pharmacists think they know better than doctors. read more

Ugh. For as new and big as this CVS is, I was expecting a great CVS experience. The store was cramped and dirty. Tons of teenagers were hanging out in here for their Saturday night. Given the location of being close to the Causeway and circle, I'm sure that tons of tourists hit this store on their way to and from the island and that the store cannot keep up on cleaning and restocking on a busy summer weekend. Nothing special beyond typical drugstore merchandise. There are cold coolers for milk, ice cream, cold drinks, food items, etc. which is convenient. There is a drive-through pharmacy and a 1-hour photo. They do carry beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers if you forgot them at home. If you are entering from 72 East, the turn into the parking lot is on the left and right before the CVS. Otherwise you're stuck on one-way streets and have to go around in a circle to get in. I'll remember to stop at the other CVS on the other side of the circle in Ship Bottom if I need just a normal item. read more

Always welcomed at the door. Easy RX pick up, even at drive thru. Longer lines in season but to be expected and they handle with a smile.

I have never been to a CVS where the staff has been so friendly and helpful. They were everywhere, knew where everything was, and seemed honestly eager to help. I knocked off a star because in sharp contrast to the rest of the store the pharmacy was terrible. I tried to drop off a prescription and was told they don't have that (not uncommon) medication. I asked if they could order it and I could pick it up in a few days. I was told no. Go to another pharmacy. Not we'll call around, we'll try to help. Just no. I've never experienced a pharmacy so unwilling to work with a patient. They could learn from their colleagues. read more

They really don't understand the meaning of privacy. The people who take and distribute the prescriptions are loud and announce all prescriptions. I now know the names, birthdays and Heath issues of everyone in front of me!!! I am picking up a prescription for maintenance after my cancer and I am not embarrassed of it but I seriously think it is a violation that I need to share this with the world!! read more

I had such a good experience at the CVS today. I had some specific needs for photograph prints (smaller than normal) and one of their employees, Sherry, was very very helpful. She worked with me on the prints, then helped me again when I had more problems. Finally, I was able to do everything myself. I am very grateful for her expertise and patience!! read more

All I can say is wow!!!! What an exceptional experience. The store was well stocked and filled with passionate employees that where there to help around every corner. The store had one on the longest lines I have ever seen and where flying through it at such an unbelievable rate. It is a given that this cvs will be crowded and high volume given the superior location right in the center of the bustling long Beach island but the crew at this location are far more than capable of handling the large crowds. I was helped by a handsome gentleman named Brandon who was stocking the seasonal Isle and personally he walked me to every item I needed I was in and out in no time at all. CVS in Ship Bottom is a wonderful store with some of the nicest employees I have ever met! The staff is always smiling and gives some of the best help I would ever need! The store manager Tomi is clearly above and beyond in training as the entire staff is pleasant and willing to help! Obviously it is very busy in the summer and I've noticed hours may have been cut recently as I noticed the store is less full of employees than usual. However even with this reduction in employees they still do there best to help! Big selection of anything you may need for your summer needs on the beach and more! read more

CVS stores are usually pretty solid because they pretty much carry the same stuff at every store, so you know what you are getting yourself into. Besides the soda specials they had the week I was down in LBI, I wasn't impressed. I usually feel like CVS's are the nicest of the chain drug stores but not this one. I almost felt like it was a little dumpy and slightly dirty/unkept. They still carried everything that other CVS stores will have, but I don't feel like this particular CVS store was up to par with the others. read more

As a physician, I am sensitive to the needs of the patient, including a quality pharmacy experience. This particular CVS is excellent insofar as the safe and accurate dispensing of prescription medication is concerned. Unfortunately, the pharmacy staff appears to be overwhelmed by the volume of pharmacy clients, leading to long delays at the service desk resulting in frustration on the part of the customer. This pharmacy appears to be falling victim to its own success. read more

This branch of CVS is HORRIBLE. We have stopped using he pharmacy due to significant errors and poor customer service. The pharmacy has repeatedly gotten my wife's medication wrong. Either they filled the wrong dosage and on several occasions gave her the wrong medication! I went in one day and the pharmacy was closed because no one showed up for work. Do your self a favor and shop elsewhere. read more

I forgot my prescription when I packed to come down to LBI. I remembered that I had a refill due so I called the pharmacy and they filled it immediately. The staff was very courteous and there was no line. read more
