Came in with a deep laceration from the propeller of a boat. Ran to the nearest urgent care in Beach Haven, "Doc On The Bay." The phenomenal surgeon Dr. Benigno was able to get me in and out quick after suturing me up. The office doesn't accept insurance, which is completely understandable for the convenience being right on the beach! Would highly recommend! read more

I can't say enough about how great Dr. B was. Filled out my paperwork and quickly got brought back. She had my wound taken care of quickly and had me back out enjoying my vacation in no time. They are out of network with all insurance so I had to pay on my credit card but they gave me a superbill to submit and my insurance reimbursed me all of it. read more

I never write reviews but I felt I needed to for this! I Went in right before closing (I called first, I was across the street at the pharmacy) for what I believe was a green bay fly OR spider bite on my arm. It was pretty bad very red and swollen! Walked in and the girl says sorry I forgot to tell you on the phone it's $145 we don't take insurance & then asks do you still want to be seen. Ok well I don't have a choice I need to be seen. So I go in the room show the nurse (?) my arm & tell her I was on meds but I forgot the names of them but my husband was on his way.... She tells the dr everything I tell her and you can here him outside the room say in nasty tone "well if she doesn't know the name of the medicine how am I suppose to"! Dr. comes in, I show him my arm give him a little medical history, husband comes with meds I'm already on... Dr. Asks if I have any allergies to any medication, I tell him (dr seems annoyed already as it is) he turns around and says well next time you may want to re-think your answer before you say that, that's not a good medication to be allergic too. Ok well you're the dr. you want me to take it- well NO bc if you really are I can lose my license and I have a family to feed. ‍‍ Ok so should I go to the ER he says no what are they going to do that I can't. Well doc idk you tell me you're the doctor! At some point during the visit the dr draws on my arm with a sharpie & says if it goes pass this line within the next 2-3 days go to the hospital. The dr then proceeds to tell me in a rude manner- I would stop taking the other medication & take these bc you can DIE if you don't have this taken care of (told me I had cellulitis) ok it's not what he said it's how he said it! He could of said hey this is very serious if you don't have it treat if can lead to this _____ and be fatal... Horrible bedside manner & just all around RUDE! Maybe Dr. Barry Benzing was having a bad day but not ok to take it out on patients. So he gives me medicine for the night and following morning & writes me a script to have filled. We leave the island the next morning to head back home at this point my arm is getting worse. Get home drop the script off at the pharmacy only to have yet another issue- the dr did not date it or write the qty for either medication. Now I have to call the office & the pharmacist to only be told the dr isn't in & she would have to text him and get back to us. At this point I'm just really done with the whole situation and end up going to the ER and being put on IV antibiotics and antibiotics 4 times a day for 7 days because the meds he gave me were useless! read more
