The receptionist was not only rude, but visibly and audibly annoyed--making faces and sounds that made me feel like I was an inconvenience rather than a patient seeking help. It's extremely unfortunate because the rest of the staff may be doing a good job, but that initial interaction sets the tone for the entire visit. The front desk is the first impression of your facility, and having someone so unprofessional in that role is unacceptable. If this kind of behavior continues, it will continue to drive patients away. Something needs to change--seriously consider retraining or replacing this individual. Patients deserve to be treated with respect and kindness, especially when they're already not feeling their best.
