I am tired of making multiple trips to this pharmacy for the same prescription only to find that it's either not ready, (often after we've received a notification otherwise), or there's no prescription in the system only to find out after making more noise that they actually do have it but it wasn't filled. This is my very first review to give the worst rating of a pharmacy I've ever experienced. DO NOT GO HERE. I've seen much more professional customer service at Santa Maria Costco or the CVS in Target. One of the pharmacy technicians needs basic customer service and problem solving training. Instead of saying "We weren't the ones that put in the wrong shipping address." Went straight to saying "We can't help you or refund you" attitude instead of looking into the problem and get more information. One of the pharmacy members saw that I was frustrated and must have prompted the technician to then call me MINUTES later to say "I figured it out. I got it refunded." They kept trying to say that I needed to call the post office to "cancel the order" because it got picked up by them. It doesn't make sense when CVS website completed the transaction.... No customer that is in need of their medications should have to go through that. read more

The pharmacy will not allow the use of "coupons" if they have already taken your insurance. Ultimately, if you find a less expensive option, they will not accept it. This is sad since the CVS in Santa Maria will, and Walgreens in Santa Maria provides this tool upfront to their customers. Terrible customer service, long wait and unhelpful employees. A gentleman ahead of me was needing help translating and instead of the cashier asking for help she just kept repeating herself louder, a language barrier is not a volume issue and yelling does not help! This CVS is clean and well-stocked. However, they never seem to have more than one person working the entire front counter, to include checkouts, customer questions, photo processing, and accessing locked-up merchandise. I understand they may need to lock some things, but at least staff the place well enough to provide timely and friendly service. This place failed to educate my partner of their prescribed medications and pressured us to sign the consent because there were a long line of people waiting behind us. The pharmacist couldn't be bothered to talk to us which is incredibly unprofessional and unsafe. DO NOT get your medication sent here. Gave us the wrong dose of medication to top it off. read more

My 2 daughters went to get press on nails and the ladies working were extremely rude and acting like they couldn't pay. These ladies be little my daughter's and talked about them when they were in the store. The pharmacy manager here is unhinged, unprofessional, aggressive, and needs to be seriously reconsidered for this role. I have previously had one other bad experience with the older male pharmacist there, but recently I decided to attempt to transfer my prescriptions from here to Amazon Pharmacy due to witnessing frightening behavior from the pharmacists here. I have witnessed Ms. De Vera laugh at customers faces, behave aggressively, hang up on customers (including myself), and it scares me to think someone this unhinged is responsible for people's medications! This has repeatedly been a really poor excuse of a pharmacy. Upon walking in, two associates were in some sort of argument with each other. I made my way past them to the pharmacy section. I stopped in to ask about an over the counter product. The guy working at the pharmacy didn't know what a diuretic was. When I showed him a photo, he told me to check the "female section." It wasn't there. The whole encounter today and in previous visits just leaves me feeling like I would not trust this location to fill me rx (I had used it in the past and it was less than perfect experience). All in all, this location could really use some good leadership. read more

I'm giving the Orcutt, CA Pharmacy a 3 star. When I call to speak with Pharmacy on the phone, they NEVER pick up their calls!! I left a voicemail message twice on 2 separate days, they have NEVER returned my call, although their greeting says the call will be returned within the hour! CVS reported a net income of $4.6 billion in 2024, compared with $8.4 billion in the prior year. So what's the problem? Why can't CVS hire more pharmacists or Service people? The pharmacists and people working in the pharmacy seem stressed out. The Pharmacy seems busy all the time. I would simply like someone to return my call!!! Thank you! read more

The pharmacy techs really don't care if you live or die :) I think generally everyone can understand there's certain situations where your hands are tied but a little empathy goes a long way. Been using this pharmacy off and on for 5 years; very frequently over the past 12 months. Always a positive experience at the pharmacy itself and I find the retail staff also helpful. Have personally dealt with 2 of the pharmacist and both gentleman are knowledgeable and patient. The pharmacy techs also are helpful even when the place seems wall to wall with folks waiting on rx. I thoroughly recommend this CVS and am grateful for its convenience. read more

I live on Woodmere right behind this store! I remember when it was a Safeway grocery store. I, out if convenience shop this location, but damn! Even when it was Safeway it was an absolute turd! I worked retail for over 50 years and know how customer service impact business success! I realize in todays market the consumer is absolutely not a priority! I went in to your store today and was totally appalled with an associate that was totally rude and lacking in retail etiquette! Went to get my Covid shot because the phone recording said they take walk-ins...I was told that I can't just walk in and there were people already waiting for their 2 nd shot that have not been called! I figure why aren't you calling them then? They said they threw some away the day before! I was told I could come back at 6:00 and chance getting the vaccine. I mostly frequent the pharmacy here which is what my review is based on, but I will say I've had positive interactions with the manager here too. Every time I go in to pick up my monthly RX I'm greeted by the pharmacy techs and promptly checked out. Often times there's a long line, but I can tell they're working hard to provide great customer service and get everyone out of there as fast as possible. On occasion there will be a hang up beyond their control and yet they still go out of their way to remedy problems. I recently went in for an RX that wasn't covered by insurance. I needed it for a procedure on Monday and the doctor was closed for the weekend. The clerk went over and above to find a coupon to lower the cost for me and sympathized that I had to pay out of pocket and have the dreaded procedure. I also love their refill by text option. It makes refilling a snap and mindless which I appreciate! read more

I have been coming to this pharmacy for years as I live nearby. However, this particular day I was having trouble with a prescription being filled. The pharmacy directed me to call my doctor which I did and I received a prescription via txt message. So I called the pharmacy to check if they needed it and the lady I spoke to was very rude and inconsiderate. She barely let me speak and just kept on yelling at me to call my doctor. I was trying to ask a question but she didn't even let me finish and just hung up. I am currently unimpressed with the service of the cvs in orcutt. read more

This CVS Pharmacy gave me my daughter's liquid antibiotic prescription in powder form, unmixed, twice in less than two weeks. When the issue was first raised to the technician who made the mistake, she laughed and said "oops". Then went on to immediately make the same careless mistake again. Worst pharmacy in town. Always a long wait and I cannot trust the techs here anymore. Lost my Norco rx I dropped 4 days before my surgery! Don't know what happened to it after I gave it to her. Horrible pharmacy! Multiple times they have given my son the wrong dosage of medication then tried arguing with me when I called and asked why the bottle looked empty after only one dose!! I do have to say the morning crew is much better than the night! Also our pediatrician prescribed an inhaler for my son that he needed last night and the pharmacy refused to give it to us because they had said the drs office needed to change the prescription to a 30 day supply which after talking to the doctors office this am the issue was that a 30 day supply of the medication was going to cost $30.00 (which we had said we would pay full price because our son needed the medication last night badly.) Even though I really like the am crew I would switch our prescriptions to a different pharmacy in a heartbeat but our insurance will only pay for this one! read more

Over the past 45 mins I've called the pharm. 4x. to call in an RX that was faxed days ago however patient is extremely upset that there's been no update. CVS has put me on a long hold just to be hung up on 4x. On my 5th attempt I was able to get through and spoke with a woman who identified herself by "B" or maybe "V". Hard no on phone courtesy!! She was so rude, condescending, short, didn't provide accurate answers to my questions, spoke over me and hung up on me. I've never had such a terrible experience. We call in rx's all day to different pharmacies around the county and never once have I had an experience this bad. I'm upset enough to write a review about it! read more

Really wish you could give negative stars - this place deserves it. My wife is required by her insurance to use CVS to fill her long-term prescriptions or pay a much higher out of pocket cost elsewhere. This one is close to her work, so of course this was the one she chose. Twice in recent months, they've been out of one of the three meds she takes, and she's had to wait several days for it to be back in stock. The first time, they actually FORGOT to order it and the wait was more than a week. Thankfully, they had a very small number of pills on hand and were able to give her those to get her through most of the time, but it resulted in her not having a very important medication for three days, which had a horrible effect. Worse, she recently needed a refill on her prescription sleeping pill. When she went to take one a few days later, she noticed the bottle was different than usual. No big deal, right? Companies change packaging. Open the bottle, and instead of small blue pills, it contains large blue capsules. Naturally she balked at taking it, and looked at the two labels on the bottle - the one printed by the pharmacy of what the med SHOULD be (Eszopiclone 3mg) and the one the drug's manufacturer placed on it (Esomeprazole 40mg). I can understand the two look similar, but how do you not recognize it's not the same? A trip to Dr. Google revealed that instead of the generic for the Lunesta she was prescribed, she'd been given the generic for Nexium, a chronic heartburn/acid reflux med. Needless to say she was not happy about this. Yesterday, she visited the pharmacy to bring the error to their attention and get her proper prescription. She first spoke to the pharmacy tech, who, when told they'd given my wife the wrong medication, flat out denied that was even possible because they have a three point medication check system that ensures customers are given the right medication. My wife proceeds to show her the bottle with the conflicting labels, and the girl turned white. She then got the pharmacist who was rightly horrified and apologetic... but them proceeded to make excuses: "We've been extremely busy lately, we're short-handed...." At that point, my wife cut her off and told her flatly that she didn't care if there was only ONE person working the entire pharmacy, mistakes like this cannot and should not happen. It's fortunate that this didn't have the potential to be life-threatening. What if it hadn't simply been giving a heartburn med in place of a sleeping pill, but rather an anti-seizure med to someone expecting one for blood pressure? Or one for gas instead of an anti-psychotic? A lot of people might not notice a pill is different, or might assume the pharmacy had given a different company's generic version of their med. read more

And of course CVS can't take the cards back once they've been activated. The staff is nice enough, but why in the world do they sell gift cards that are useless to people who live here? read more

This cvs pharmacy is very unorganized and the pharmacists' assistant, Cindy, who answers the phones, is flat out rude, she makes a lot of mistakes and will make you feel stupid even when she realizes she was wrong. Even worse one of the pharmacist, Bimala Llamas is very unprofessional, she lies and makes up her own policies in order to avoid filling a prescription due to the fact that she is moody & lazy - and I know this for a fact because a former employee confirmed it. Great prices and if something is out, they quickly restock or you can order on line with quick delivery.
